Yo your friend needs to spend some good money on a Jewish lawyer and get his ass out... cuz from what it sounds like he might not even be guilty if he can convince his way out.

your buddy better keep his mouth shut and admit nothing, however i bet its too late for that

im sure he told everyone he was at the scene over this past year during the investigation. he should have just kept his mouth shut, his friend sold him down the river

also for all the judges in this thread, racing is very similar to speeding and he had nothing to do with his idiot boy crashing

should not be charged unless he egged on the race and caused the accident during the race

Most states have laws that say if you commit a crime (racing in this case)... and someone dies in the process (the date in this case), you're gonna face murder/manslaughter charges.

secondly if he was not part of the accident then its impossible for him to be charged with leaving the scene

if they get him to talk its over for him, u better tell him to shut his mouth and mortgage the house for a good lawyer

If the other driver says you were racing, and there are witnesses, and you friend was indeed a participant of the event that caused the accident...Your friend may be fucked. Common sense should tell you racing is dangerous in itself, doing it on a public road with others in the area...not to mention a passenger who may of may not of wanted to be going along for the ride.

A teenager in my local area just was just given 5 years in prison after someone grabbed his passenger and started wailing on him through the window. The teenager driver backed out of the parking space and left the scene to end the assault...
Problem....During the flee the person doing the assult hit his head and died on the scene. The driver DID NOT REPORT THE INCIDENT because he said he didn't know the outcome or that there was an accident and only fled the fight...
Vehicle Homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident...he was not charged with the death.

At first I thought this was believable. You say the police couldn't prove he was drinking but you said in the original post that he got a DUI the same night. You're talkin in circles.

I know its fuckin bullshit, but they are saying he is responsible because he was racing...
He's gonna do the full bit for manslaughter, ive been to prison twice my own self so i rarely wish prison on anybody but i hope your friend does every last day of the 5 years he's gonna get & he is going to get 5 years.

Fuking idiots drag race on city streets thinking everything is gonna be ok,not to mention they were both drunk, now somebodies daughter is dead, everybody involved in that stupidity should do time & i hope they do.

Think of it as if it were your daughter, all it would have taken was for " one " of the drivers of "either car" to not race & the girl would still be alive,he's as responsible as the driver of the car that crashed.

Your friend is a dick.

When he left was his friend in the car, or did his friend get yanked out?

OMG... all I can think about after reading this is the poor girl who went on a date and the drunk asshole recklessly killed her in a street race. This was not a random accident..... it was TOTALLY avoidable. The pair of them are responsible for her death and I hope they throw the book at both of them.

With that being said, since your friend wasn't there when the cops came to the scene originally there is no way to prove he was drunk. He could even deny he was racing at all... it's simply his word against his friends. I think a good lawyer could get him off.

Remember Teddy Kennedy and Chappaquiddick??? That fucker swam the channel home drunk to avoid being busted at the scene drunk. He pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and was sentenced to two months in jail... SUSPENDED

He's toast, and good... You race and kill... your gone.. Maybe if one of these fine outstanding citizens had called 911, the date might have lived, and before you say shit..are they Drs ??...... I hope the brothers rip his ass apart daily...
Thats exactly how i feel, fuk him,ive been to prison twice & chances are he's gonna do time,he better hope he's got some ass about himself, not internet tough guy shit either.

I hope the police make a media circus out of the trial then the prosecutor makes an example out of both of them.

You obviuosly know nothing about how law is applied in circumstances like this, the laws are written in such a way where everybody who is a willing participant in something that causes loss of life is a suspect PFI,if the activity they all were willingly participating was illegal, dangerous or neglegent then all willing parties are equally guilty.

His neglegence by willingly participating in an illegal drag race on public roads helped create a saftey hazard for the general public,a saftey hazard where pedestrians could have been killed crossing the street.

If he admitted to anybody that he was racing he's guilty & the best defense lawyer on earth cant change the outcome where he will be released without any responsibility.

im still sayin...

he is charged with an additional count of leaving the scene of a traffic collision resulting in injury or death.

My point is he didnt have a collision

Hell I have daughters and i understand about someones daughter is dead because of these idiots racing... But this daughter was freakin 20 yrs old... she aint 16 or 17... 20 im thinking not her first race.... 2 she controls the pussy... all she had to say to that guy was dont do this and the guy wouldnt have raced..(he wants the pussy)

I dont know...terrible all around. Do i want them in prison... fuck yeah. Do i wish dumb asses didnt race down the street.. sure... I just dont like this deal of getting hit with anything when you didnt hit anything.. ya dig?

I 100% agree about how sad this is... BULL shit that some meat headed mother fucker thinks he can just go drive drunk and kill the person that probably didn’t even want him speeding bull shit for sure. The dude should get some good jail time for being and idiot.... As for your friend who was also drunk and racing.... That right there is why they have the DUI law irresponsible dicks like that. Just another great point to make about marijuana… No dumb ass is out racing while all stupid stoned… They just want food and funnies, just like I do right now.

Wow,your wrong on all counts in this thread, you should bone up on common law,in every state in the usa it is every citizens responsibility to stay at the scene of an accident involving a death if they were a participant or witnessed any part of the accident,at the bare minimum he's guilty of leaving the scene of an accident because he was a wittness to a death.
