Indoor VS outdoor - differences

I typically start them indoors as the temp is going to be in the mid to high 60's. Not the best temp for veg growth. I will usually grow them to a bit more than 12-14 inches then sex them by a 12/12 light regiment. By about 6 to 8 days they show me who they are going to be and I decide what I am going to do.

Next, the days have started to warm up. So then they go outside for flowering and finishing. I find the taste to be much better outside then in. Also the long FREE light helps bring better blooms than inside. When they ripen up then I harvest. I have never done the acapulco gold method of letting the dry outside in the sun while still rooted. To me that dirt weed taste can be saved for someone else.
Yeah but they didnt just do that they girdled it too basically you cut round the stem but not all the way through and that cuts off the nutrients and water etc helps it turn to gold as well as the dry on the vine method almost

Don't know if you need it, but here's an equation to calculate your KwH per month

W= wattage of single equipment
T = amount of hours per day said equipment will be used
30 = days per month
1000 = because math

W x T x 30 ÷ 1000

Sum up your totals for what your entire grow will cost. Multiply that by your energy cost

Thank you!

If you got the time look into light depo indoor quality with very little cost other than time. can be as easy moving6-10 plants in-out of a shed or out building.
So I know this is an old thread @thumper60 but I have been thinking about this idea of light dep. My 65G pots are not movable because they are half buried in the ground (for water retention in my hot arid climate). Do you think 3(EA) easy ups would work? Like I am assuming I need to have sides on it to really block the sun not just from the top (?) - so it would be a major PITA to do - but I am not ready to build a hoop house and throw a big cover on/off every morning either lol. Maybe I could build like one large easyup structure that I could move in/out and somehow use tarps to make the 4 sides… I only have 3 plants and they are spaced about 10’ apart (center to center). Also assume it’s best to shorten the day in the coolest part (mornings) and open it up mid morning right as the heat starts?
