I do have a question for you guys. According to my par meter at my hottest spot in the center of light the reading is 1152 par. But on the corners I am showing 966 par with light at 16 inches above canopy. I am running GROWERS CHOICE roi420 and it is cranked all the way up and I am wondering if I should raise light or turn it down a little? My concern is that the hot spot is to high and will hurt yield. But I must say that the plants are not showing any signs of light stress.

If they're not showing signs of light stress, i'd let er ride. Keep an eye out for it tho! Id start raising your lights towards the end of flower, it should help them ripen up.

Ok I will let her ride. At about what week would you raise light and what par value should I set it at? Thanks in advance.

A couple of weeks to planned harvest (or estimated), and hight till your corners are at around 450 PAR. You can raise it a little at time over the 2 weeks. This kinda mimics Fall..... just an opinion mind you, I have no scientific evidence to prove this.

I will try it. I have never tried lifting light during last couple of weeks. Thanks for the advice brother. Will definitely try it.

Yeah but I doubt he has 4 legitimate birth certificates that all say Panama(2 are in Spanish!)
He was born in Panama.

"John Sidney McCain III was born on August 29, 1936, at Coco Solo Naval Air Station in the Panama Canal Zone, to naval officer John S. McCain Jr. and Roberta (Wright) McCain."

Interesting factoid, but I wasn't born in the Canal Zone. When Carter signed the treaty in '77 we had "x" amount of time to withdraw. I was born after the treaty was signed but before we vacated. My sister is a "Zonian" (born in the Canal Zone during occupation) and only has American citizenship. Hers and McCain's specifically say Canal Zone, mine just say "Ancon, Panama".

Not that I even WANT to be president, that's for damned sure.

I'd vote for you.

Would love to see what everyone else has growing.
I have been doing journal grows the last couple grows. Im a month from seed. My youngest son has moved (temporarily) into my den where I have my tent and plants with his two dogs and it severely interferes with my time that I need out there. I have neglected my young plants and kept them in solo cups too long before getting them transplanted this week. First time to use solo cups had watering problems and I hate them. Plus I switched from a 400 4 bar light that has given me great results and I was very comfortable with to a much bigger (commercial) 640w light (that I really didnt need). My young plants do NOT like it (my fault) and Ive had a problem dialing it in. I had it at 44" high and at 70% power. And it was still hurting my plants. Raised it 4 more inches and bumped it down to 60% when I transplanted two days ago. I do like the remote master controller and the fact I dont have to use plug-in timers anymore. But haven't figured out the blue tooth phone app thingy. Im technologically challenged. Dang phone crap...I hate them too!

I do the journals because I like showing my plants and usually can pick up helpful hints from others that have spotted things I missed. I should do it anyway and get help but to be honest right now Im too embarrassed to show them. But I do have some interesting strains for this season (if I dont kill them) I usually average three medium-sized mistakes every grow. Im over that in just the first month. Ive never had any major problems these last few grows but this one is screwing with me.

My 400w is way off my little seedlings and clonlings. Which seems to be doing them well. I'll grab my tape for accurate measurements. I've only recently moved my seedlings directly under the light and 3 out of 4 made it. Now to wait to find any males on those. My big ass light i can't run above 60%and it's a good distance from one of my, girls she stayed short! I'll get some pics here in a bit cause I got a lot, for a hobbyist, going on.

Hate to hear that you are struggling with your grow. I do hope you get more time to concentrate on your grow and get it dialed in. I wish everyone success in their growing endeavors.

Hey okies. Hope everyone is doing well. I am having trouble keeping my humidity in check. I need a dehumidifier for a room that is 10x12. Does anyone have any suggestions. Have looked on Amazon just not sure how well they work. My humidity stays 60-65% and temps stay around 80.

I have 3 of the "Home" brands I got from AMZ. 70 pints per day. I tested them and actually got what they said it would do. I have them on a shelf on constant drain to sink. 3 of these for my 20x30 work well to keep it in check…. Although, I am looking for a Quest 255 or similar. The 3 Home brands pull 19 amps collectively, while a single Quest pulls only 7 amps.
