SF 1000 V2 - Spider Farmer Grow Light Review

I wish they built these with the option for adding an extension or something for mounting the driver externally. I've been looking into another panel a little bit and the dimming is making these more appealing than HLG for me as I would prefer more panels but driven softer for my needs.
They are able to be daisy chained into master panel with dimmer via jumpers. One dimmer to rule them all.

As far as modding driver to remote mounted is not that difficult ( same with HLG ) if you do not want driver board mounted on risers. Cabling can be altered to give driver remote out of tent mounting or on a hanging “ driver “ board ( wall mounted ) . There are quick disconnect options.

Right, I was aiming to avoid DIY and hacking it to work, I was looking for the product itself to have the feature or offer the option (i.e. pick your extension length, etc.) For the HLG60's I use for moms I was able to just find a simple extension cable since those are such low wattage and use a standard size barrel connector.

And yeah, the daisy chaining is a must when working with multiple panels - anyone offering their product with intended usage for multiple units that's a must have feature.

This will most likely void the warranty however since spider farmer does list them as non removable drivers. @Spiderfarmerled would be able to confirm but I think I saw them tell someone the drivers can’t be unmounted

Update :

Week 1 flower

@Spiderfarmerled SF1000 is working well so far , plants are setting up budsites and even throwing some Purp pheno.
I really wish I topped “ all “ of them but maybe in some way I am highlighting plant growth under panel for those growers that keep plants trained or “ natural “ , so maybe it was a good thing.

Running this panel , I noticed runs very cool ( on max ) literally . So I had to compensate ambient heat thruout.
Not a bad thing just be aware that this panel doesn’t radiate much heat on its own. Literally running at 79°.
For a Simple hang and start growing kind of light , it is no doubt a good deal. I see more and more growers leaving blurple behind and discovering this alternative to better lighting.

KKP are showing some pheno Purp ( KKP - Durban Poison x GG4 ) probably from Durban Sativa side. Plants have a danky / sweet smell even before flower ..... one of the keeper strains I like to run. ( Hazeman Seeds ) . These are seeds from a Selfing project i did some time ago to keep stock . So I think if I topped the others they would be apparently more uniform . One thing I look for is uniformity
in growth from light ( weak spots / etc. ) ...... that HSO BD was the one I started at the “ fringe “ area awhile back and it has been doing very well. Again these are 1 gallon grow bags ( mixed layered soil ) and they are at 26” so far ....

Hopefully , @Spiderfarmerled plans some future tweaks to board like more IR and maybe some UV , that would really be nice !

UPDATE :

Pic time .... I pulled the plants to give an idea of growth and health from under the SF 1000 V2.
They are in week 1 ( ish ) of flower and are really throwing some pretty purp traits within emerging buds ( KKP ) .
Fragrance is danky sweet spice . @Spiderfarmerled panel has been working remarkably well and am warming up to this brand a lot.
Usually right off if a panel isn’t doing well from the very start it would show and this one is definitely a great led.

Size of plants are from 1 gallon grow bags and are filling up nicely for a simple bag grow. I am actually preparing to SOG grow a few more strains under 12/12 to keep a perpetual. But I wanted to highlight what can be grown with a “ 100 watt “ panel. I would have thought maybe one good plant but panel is running 4 ! Spread is very good for a 2x2 space and I am running these in a much larger space so I kind of expected some paltry fringe growth but have been pleasantly impressed so far.

:bigjoint: Thanks @Spiderfarmerled

HSO BD strain ( 12/12 from seed )

Beginning to show budset now and shaping out nicely.

KKP #1 / 2 / 3

Week 1 ( ish ) of flower , top dressed with EWC/ FFOF and kelp water. They are doing fantastic so far and are throwing definite
pheno traits within bud pistils. Buds are healthy and pistil growth looking good.
Not worried with Purp stems as most traits are expressing from genetics. Still impressed this little panel is bringing the goods ! :weed:

Week 2 Flower

Big difference in 10 days , buds are forming dense and stacked . I am really impressed with this @Spiderfarmerled
panel SF 1000V2 , it is working extremely well so far . No issues.

Plants are smelling crazy ! ...... Watered yesterday with Kelp and will wait a bit for a feed / slight nitro bump. They have been very hungry girls apparently , so may bump top dress with tea made from soil , then drench it on top of top dressing. Really like how the mixed spectrum of the board kept that HSO BD in check as far as size. Anybody growing Blue Dream knows they can get leggy sometimes. But this one is at about same canopy height as rest ...... and that one was started weeks later.

That was a big plus ..... seeing that even a plant started later still grows to same canopy level ( no weak spots in footprint ).
Very nice @Spiderfarmerled.

Side Project time :

Even tho I’m running this journal to review the Spider Farmer SF1000 V2 light panel, I am throwing in a side project that will run with this light review.

As you know I am running a HSO BD ( Blue Dream ) that is running an early flower , so I decided to have some fun with pollen .
I am crossing this HSO BD ( Blue Dream ) x Banghi Haze F9 pollen. Thanks to @icemudsgrow for his pollen runs.

Taking 2 Dominate Sativa strains and mashing them together. I don’t expect a large seed haul , as I only need a few upfront to explore.
Although banghi is a large growing strain , I am hoping to get some interesting pheno from it. Then if it pans out further a cross by crossing 2 females from this for fem seeds. We will see.

Upper part of plant will still go to harvest .
