What Are You Doing On Election Night?

In 2016 I went to bed early and woke up to the nightmare after thinking I would be seeing the first woman president of the United States of America.

Ill do the same this time and hope to be pleasantly suprised.
Not even California and the PNW have to stay up late for their own states, you'd have to be a might nervous to worry at that point if Florida and Texas go blue, much less Georgia, Pennsylvania can wait until Dec 13th if they want, the networks will call game over.

I realized that both Florida and Pennsylvania were lost by about 9:00 EST.......I went to bed knowing who had won.

Hopefully I'll know about the same time this year........but with a different result. As soon as we win Florida.......it's over.

This is a dangerous election. I am keeping a low profile because all hell might break loose.
A small part of me is a little worried, more about November 4

I have to be out driving everywhere for my job. Hopefully I don't run into any problems/blockades by some militia group out on the highways or interstates

Not sure what I'll do. We've had a discussion at work about it and my boss says our safety is the most important thing, equipment can be replaced. Take that however you will, but I'm interpreting that as do not stop for anyone.

I look at it like this, if I stop and get killed or if I don't stop and plow my semi truck through a group of Trumpers trying to block the road, I'll end up on the news either way

I don't know, makes me a little nervous. I guess we'll all see what happens the day(s) after November 3

The Irish are noted for they're wakes, celebrating the life/legacy of the deceased, & drowning their sorrow in alcohol.
There will be no such celebration in my household this November 3 when Trump loses, I'm fucking drained.
I will sigh with relief, but actually there is nothing at all to glow about or too rejoice.
Too little, too late
The damage is already fucking done, no room left for any real consolation or room left for joy.
Too many dead
This is a old Irish tune that I will play though when Trump is finally set aside.
It is a beautiful/sad tune about futility/grief/hardship/injustice, fitting in my mind for that legacy of Trump that will forever be a part of America's history now.

But, after weeping for the deaths of the individuals that occurred under Donald's watch, I'll probably play these guys :)

Then, I think I'll play this & pray that the USA/World get's they're shit together, finally.

Unfortunately, it's probably going to take Florida a few years to finish counting the ballots.
That only has happened in one county........a couple of times.
Unlike some states that don't count the mail in ballots until election day.......Florida starts counting votes as soon as they receive them and add them to vote count on election night.
Mine was counted on Oct. 6th.

I’ll do my level best to ignore it all, and my roommates; I’ll play my robot game, I’ll eat something delicious, and drink self to sleep before midnight...I hope. Really working on not getting fixated - my stress level can’t take much more

Left wing... Right wing.. A bird needs both wings working together to fly. Why you give your power to a president, battle your loved ones and fight your friends, I will never understand. Sad.

If Trump loses, I'm not sleeping for days. I haven't forgot Gore winning and going to bed to awake to George Bush as the new president. That was killer.

It sucks.

Unfortunately about 30% of our population are in what has essentially became a cult for the last decade using sophisticated online manipulation tools. It has gotten much worse since the Russian military hijacked the Republican con to get Trump elected.

This too shall pass.

It is just unfortunantly a very dangerous time for our nation's vulnerable with nobody in the executive branch and half of the legislative branch doing anything to heal our wounds.
