Whats going on fellow growers ! Its that time of year again.... time to buy seeds for the 2019 outdoors season. Little late but be okay since around here i dont like to habe plants outside before the 3rd week of may. Frost/rain is frequently accuring during the month of may around here....

Im looking for high yielding strains that have a guaranteed finish by late September (first week october max )

We have a bunch of family corn fields and they usually cut the corn first week of October! Ive been growing in the corn for the last 4 years and have found a couple strains that will finish in time but im looking for some danker genetics that will have better bag appeal...

The strains i have been looking at so far are as followed-

Humboldt seed company- blueberry muffin
Humboldt seed company- pineapple trainwreck
Humboldt seed co- pineapple upside down cake
Humboldt seed company- dream queen
Sweet seeds - crystal candy f1 fast version
Sweet seeds- red mandarin f1 fast version
Sweet seeds - jack 47 f1 fast version
Barneys farm- pineapple chunk
Barneys farm - critical kush
Getaway mountain seed strains

Anyone else habe any other suggestions or habe you ran any of the humboldt seed comapny strains ?
Thanks everyone happy growing

I have grown Pineapple Chunk and it finished mid October at 43° N midwest.
Thank you very much for that information! Will cross that off the list!

It is ridiculous breeders put such early harvest dates on there strains... for instance grew banana og by royal queen seeds ( mid September finisher) it finished late october!!!

In my experience you will have variable finishing times even with the same strain. I grew RQS special queen and they finished between late September to mid October. I would pheno hunt several strains and keep the faster finishing phenos.

No joke, I have had rotten luck with most of the new pretty strains outdoors. The hardiness has been breed out in favor of bag appeal.

Kali China (Kali mist x China yunnan) by Ace seeds. Fast finish and hardy. Buds aren’t as compact. Quality sativa high. Finished last year very end September to first few days October. Very good quality and the Kali mist comes through in the high pretty well so i think it makes it special for a northeast grower. I second the special queen for hardiness and speed. Grows big, fast and yield great. Got about half ounce of mold on a 10 ounce plant but didn’t have any overhead protection

Luckily ik an old timer..... he gave me a pile of seeds !! Over 100... he said alot of them had pink hairs and finished mid/September.

The problem is he he is an oldddd time grower... put it in some dirt and hope it grows type of guy lol. But he always has good bud... i put 30 in moist paper towel little bit ago. I'll see what happens!

I wouldn’t do the jack 47 fast. I’m currently running jack 47 regular version and it goes a month longer than breeder says. I’d imagine there’s a good chance of longer than expected finish with the fast version as well. The smoke is pretty good. Pretty much all head. Did have a total shit pheno in there. Never had the fast version

Hey thanks for the info ! The only fast version seed ive grown so far has been the sweet seeds sweet skunk. If you go through the 2018 new england grow you could find some of my pics.

I'm in NE near Boston and want to have a few plants outside. Are you starting them inside then bringing them out or starting outside from seed?

ID recommend the Kali china. Great genetics that need more popularity. I’d start them inside for atleast month and then put them out but you can get away with less

I have had good luck with frisian dew finishing anywhere from first week of September till the end of September. Pineapple chunk didn't finish for me until some time in November. Frisian Dew yields good but I don't have much to compare it to. I really want to try Mandala #1 outdoors once

Frisian Dew. That’s a plant I looked at probably 5 years ago for a grow that wasn’t going to be tended often. It was a toss up between that, purple Maroc and easy sativa..both from Female Seeds. Heard all three do great northeast and very hardy. The only thing that kept me from pulling the trigger was mixed reviews on potency. Ended up just throwing some bag seed out and only got 3;of 7 to finish up decently. Should have tried the Frisian or the easy sativa
