I haven't see this yet but it promises to be an amazing film. Using actual WWI film from the British Imperial War Museums’ film archives with state-of-the-art technology the recreation as seen in this short clip is stunning. They show the original B&W, jerky footage first, then the remastered and re-edited film after. Unbelievable.

I finally binge watched Breaking Bad earlier this year. Then moved on all seasons of Better call Saul. I like BCS more than Breaking Bad. Can't wait for a new season to begin!

Recently binge watched both seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I really loved this show and can't wait for another season of it as well. It's sort of like Mad Men with the beautiful clothes & people but it centers around stand up dirty comedy routines during the Lenny Bruce era. A Lenny Bruce character occasionally appears on there as well.
I love the funny writing, amazing stylish clothing and old NYC vibe from back in the good old days.

I watched "Dumplin" which is totally a chick flick centered around Dolly Parton but I liked it a lot.

I watched the "Ballad of Buster Scruggs" by the Coen Brothers. I grew up watching westerns on tv and thought this would be something like that. It has a few funny moments and its unpredictable swinging back and forth between humorous and freaking vicious as hell. It's selection of 6 short stories and some of it takes too long to get around to the point and I found it somewhat boring. Out of 5 stars I would give it 2.5

Venom. I thought it was great. Should have been rated R. They cut out Tom Hardy's favorite 40 mins of the flick. (Tom Hardy is the shit) they were trying for a bigger box office opening making it PG-13. I was about 8 beers deep so my opinion could be skewed. I liked it better than any other of the shitty superhero movies they've been milking.

I heard Aquaman was pretty good, i'll wait for dvd.

Just finished a Nova titled, 'Apollo's Daring Mission' about the Apollo 8 lunar orbit trip. Yes, it was the precursor to the Apollo 11 lunar landing, but every bit as important. This episode, like most Nova productions, was very well-paced and had just the right amount of wit and adventure to keep you on the edge of your seat. And it's told mostly by the people actually involved. A really fun watch, recommended...

Just watched Venom and Aquaman. Venom was NOT a good movie, but it was fairly enjoyable. Good stupid weekend action flick. Same with Aquaman - not a well constructed movie, but the writing wasn't bad and the acting was passable. Lots of pretty people with some very good CGI. I want to like the DC movies better, but the truth is they're not as good as most Marvel flicks (of which there are some real stinkers). It's kinda weird that none of these movies are as good as the actual comics...

I'll have to watch it again. My brother probably hyped it up before watching it, he was explaining every character/ easter egg throughout the film that I'd almost forgotten. I found myself wishing I had collected old school comic books after watching.
Watched the newer starwars on netflix, was cool seeing original skywalker and leya, not bad.
Law Abiding Citizen on netflix. Good movie
