No longer dealing with Greenpoint seeds

Yea but to be fair any business will have nay sayers and Greenpoint had a 1500+ page thread with happy customers that just got deleted for some reason.

I bought the cookie wreck on recommendation from Bob zmuda. If he says it's good it's good.

I've personally bought a few strains from them using my debit card. No fradulent charges.

Not saying it didn't happen. Just saying out of 1500+ pages of happy people only a few were unhappy.
And all one needs to do is check the posting history of the "unhappy" ones to see through the horseshit.
Not every review of every strain is gonna be glowing. I try to post honest reviews no matter who the breeder is. That thread had a LOT of good growers in it. Growers whom I opinions trust.

I also bought Cackleberry based of Bobs pics and review ;-)

And as far as the CC fraud. Every bank offers protection and GP isn't the only bank who uses Payofix. SHN uses it as well but I don't see anyone attacking SHN.
Payofix sucks. Use prepaid cards, or a debit that you keep a minimal amount on. Better yet...just send a USPS money order with DC

Sadly in this day and age fraud and credit or debit cards is something that happens. I've had it happen a few times over the years. You just call the bank and make a fraud claim and they give the money back.

I doubt the cc fraud was the fault of Greenpoint.

Didnt say it was Greenpoint. Said payofix is shady. The seed banks use them because people want to use credit cards. Probably one of the only places that will process these transactions. Hence I don't use c.c.

We got hit with CC fraud while vacationing in Hawaii. Its hard to say where the actual fraud came from. We used our card everywhere for two weeks from the Hilton in Honolulu to a tattoo shop in back alley in Waikiki.

With all the fuckery that happens in the bean bizz, I decided to open a second debit card account just for seed purchases. It just seemed so much easier than buying prepaid cards and wondering if they'll go thru.
So far so good...but I do keep a close eye on the account.

Don't take these post as directed at you. They're not and I'm really sorry if mine came across that way. Everyone pretty much agrees with you. Payofix is shady AF. But until US banks get on board with the canna industry this is the route a lot of banks have decided to use. Overseas card processors or cash/mo. The few that have "alternative payments" are flying under the radar but eventually some asshole will snitch on them and they'll be left with only a cash/money order option too.

All good man. I just didn't want it to sound like I had a beef with Greenpoint themselves. I was just clarifying my post.

I've seen several banks get bad reviews for shitty reasons. I usually don't listen too much when it comes to the internet. I'm just kinda puzzled by the green point page being pulled and dude having that E-Mail seen above. I've got awesome gear I run from CC and GHS. Both those get strung through the mud on here. I've personally never had an issue with their gear. I haven't ordered from them in a very long time. But I have several strains I always run that initially came from them. Same with Bohdi. I see bad stuff about his gear. I've never had issue with it and I've been playing with it for a few years now. Pretty sure it was Bob Z or Aero that sent me that direction. It's just kinda suspect that the thread you speak of got pulled during all this stuff being said. Who knows though it is the internet. I won't take any chances with it though. Especially when people who were customers for years in here are apparently getting shafted. I've seen breeders make mistakes. Usually they more than compensate for their mistakes. Guess will have to see how it plays out.

Its all good Inda. I can see how it must look to those not active in the thread. And I completely agree with you on breeder drama. I do my best to avoid it because its so trivial.
My experience with GP has been nothing short of stellar. The prices are right in line with Bodhi when you take into account all the sales, reverse auctions, and reward points. And they honestly have the best customer service of any bank I've ever dealt with.

Speaking for someone that is unable to have access to these types of cuts Gu uses for his seeds. I am thankful GPS is out there. Payofix sucks, and I have had no problems with "cash". I will continue using GPS.

I'm just going off of what I'm seeing here. I know there's tons of variables with our hobby. I've taken seeds from people who said they were cursed and got awesome results. I don't have to really deal with breeders much anymore. First off I'm in Cali and there's good stuff around if you know the right people. I made my decision to try bohdi just off of people I trust on here. I'm glad I did. I guess the whole E-Mail thing is what really makes me second guess things. In this business customer support is a huge deal. I feel like we're all taking a bit of a chance with what we do as it is. Some more than others. I don't doubt they had or have some good gear. They wouldn't have made it this far if they didn't. My opinion is from an outsider looking in. You're right it doesn't look good. I'll stick around to see how it plays out. Customer service is a huge deal. I guess I don't get why they wouldn't take care of a valued customer. The CC thing doesn't help either. Last but not least.......Testers on my farm mean unproven genetics that we don't depend on for anything. We literally say testers. There's two sides to every story. These issues make me gun shy to ever order.

The testers were free and only meant to be testers, but everyone bitched and moaned when they couldn't get testers. Some said they would pay, so in all fairness...boom testers for sale.

True you didn't.

Even with what you said I would use my card again. I take screenshots of all transactions and a simple call to the bank and they will refund the money.

As a general rule I use either a prepaid card on one tied to an account I don't keep a lot of money in for online purchases.

I definitely won't send cash through the mail. No way to recoup if it is stolen.

Money order at least with tracked mail.

I'll look into payofix. I will say that I've had fraud on cards that were never used online.

Uhhh no. He did the exact same thing before. Put testers up for “testing”. Then less than a month later they were selling for full price. It wasn’t to please his customers, it’s just his MO.

Seriously, read up on the mess that was the Monster Cookies crosses.

Did anyone actually receive free ones? Seems like a bit reckless to give unproven genetics out. I was unaware they were offered for free. I'm all about freebies with orders. I wouldn't want "testers" though. So what's up with the rumor of people receiving different product from what they ordered.

So basically having the customer figure out what's good or not. Does he have a place to look at pics of his grows or read up on his findings and work?

I received mine free of charge...didn't even pay shipping. They weren't freebies with an order. Testers were announced, listed for free, at 4/20. First come first serve.

There are pics on the site. Not sure how accurate.

Not sure dude logs his grows.

Good or bad a 1500+ page thread on the breeder is plenty enough info on to buy a strain or not.

I see you around on the greenpoint threads...if you feel that way and have this negativity, why are you here???
