Panama Red -Greenthumb Seeds

Was the no paranoia plant a little lacking in 'the trip'? Too often the trip comes with some noids, I know from experience. It would be nice to have it all in one plant but might not happen.

The no noids plant more of a plain vanilla high? The original Panama Red was supposed to taste of earth and some pepper and also hash. It was grown in the reddish clay of Panama so that may have caused a different taste than what we will get in potting soil.
The original Panama Red was the strongest marijuana I have ever smoked. It was stronger than real Acapulco Gold imo. I remember it tastes like very high quality hashish with a hay or straw flavor as well. Very tempted to give these seeds a try, thanks

These stories are making me want to build a greenhouse or figure something out so I can try these!!

Doc used to have Acapulco Gold on his menu but nobody was buying landrace sativas then. I'm hoping he will release it again or any pure sativa strain he has in his stable. They might not be commercially viable as the modern strains but I would love to have a garden full of them for myself.

It would be cool if The Doc would update the website, show everything he has to offer. I wonder if he has or is working on a/The Skunk.
With legalization coming up here in the summer I'm hoping someone will bust out The Skunk. Those are my glory nostalgia days getting skunked out. Quarter of a joint & you would zonk out & forget you were alive lol.

Yeah...i think his website is about as updated as he is willing to do. LOl.... He is not lazy but he is busy with personal matters and his business. I think he put that at the bottom of his "to do" list. lol.

A lot of pics don't want to load on my phone and your pictures didn't but I went to the website and that looks a lot like what I remember! Been a long time so can't say exactly, or even that it is it, but it looks a lot like it, and if it had been pressed in a brick even more so..! That's definitely on my list Enjoy..! :blsmoke:

Yeah....pressed into brick form would make a difference.
And, they grew that old stuff outdoors in Panama, not indoors in Michigan.

Wowser!

Real "5th Body Brain" activaction.

V. THE NEUROSOMATIC SYSTEM
When this fifth “body-brain” is activated, flat Euclidean figure-ground configurations explode multi-dimensionally. Gestalts shift, in McLuhan’s terms, from linear visual space to all-encompassing sensory space. A hedonic turn-on occurs, a rapturous amusement, a detachment from the previously compulsive mechanism of the first four circuits. I turned this circuit on with pot and Tantra.

This fifth brain began to appear about 4,000 years ago in the first leisure-class civilizations and has been increasing statistically in recent centuries (even before the Drug Revolution), a fact demonstrated by the hedonic art of India, China, Rome and other affluent societies. More recently, Ornstein and his school have demonstrated with electroencephalograms that this circuit represents the first jump from the linear left lobe of the brain to the analogical right lobe.

The opening and imprinting of this circuit has been the preoccupation of “technicians of the occult”–Tantric shamans and hatha yogis. While the fifth tunnel-reality can be achieved by sensory deprivation, social isolation, physiological stress or severe shock (ceremonial terror tactics, as practiced by such rascal-gurus as Don Juan Matus or Aleister Crowley), it has traditionally been reserved to the educated aristocracy of leisure societies who have solved the four terrestrial survival problems.

About 20,000 years ago, the specific fifth brain neurotransmitter was discovered by shamans in the Caspian Sea area of Asia and quickly spread to other wizards throughout Eurasia and Africa. It is, of course, cannabis. Weed. Mother Mary Jane.

It is no accident that the pot-head generally refers to his neural state as “high” or “spaced-out.” The transcendence of gravitational, digital, linear, either-or, Aristotelian, Newtonian, Euclidean, planetary orientations (circuits I-IV) is, in evolutionary perspective, part of our neurological preparation for the inevitable migration off our home planet, now beginning. This is why so many pot-heads are Star Trek freaks and science fiction adepts. (Berkeley, California, certainly the Cannabis Capital of the U.S., has a Federation Trading Post on Telegraph Avenue, where the well-heeled can easily spend $500 or more in a single day, buying Star Trek novels, magazines, newsletters, bumper stickers, photographs, posters, tapes, etc., including even complete blueprints for the starship Enterprise.)

The extraterrestrial meaning of being “high” is confirmed by astronauts themselves; 85% of those who have entered the free-fall zero gravity describe “mystic experiences” or rapture states typical of the neurosomatic circuit. “No photo can show how beautiful Earth looked,” raves Captain Ed Mitchell, describing his Illumination in free-fall. He sounds like any successful yogi or pot-head. No camera can show this experience because it is inside the nervous system.

Free-fall, at the proper evolutionary time, triggers the neurosomatic mutation, Leary believes. Previously this mutation has been achieved “artificially” by yogic or shamanic training or by the fifth circuit stimulant, cannabis. Surfing, skiing, skin-diving and the new sexual culture (sensuous massage, vibrators, imported Tantric arts, etc.) have evolved at the same time as part of the hedonic conquest of gravity. The Turn-On state is always described as “floating,” or, in the Zen metaphor, “one foot above the ground.”

What was the story of Greenthumb getting this strain? It was in South America on a plantation or something? I seem to recall that story.

I took samples of the two PR at 72 days flower. I have a reduced light cycle and very blue light plus added a bit of uvb a couple times. Point is that I will have a plant mature faster than most will.

Both samples were potent with a bit of noids in the first 5 or so minutes. Disorienting at first if you smoke much. After that a smooth pleasant high with some body to it. Rolling effect of waves with this. Mixed with booze this would jack you I think. Trippy as any other strain I have grown. Tied with the Chimera Guerrero for trippy, honorable mention to Michoacan.

I will take these down at around 80 days and really could take them right now. A few amber trichs and lots of amber pistils already. The taste and effect from this is very close to the Snow PR I grew. Due to soil lockout I had stunted PR from Snow so can not compare the two physically.

I will reveg both plants. Yeah, I am real happy with the effects of both plants which seem to be about the same in terms of high.SAM_0835.jpg SAM_0838.JPG

Yes it is my favorite.
As a person that has dealt with mild depression my entire life, I find this strain to be a God send. Whenever I feel it coming on I just grab this one and things level out.

I have one that is nearly done in flower....and i have a nice stash from the first round as well.
I think you have the early pheno because even with uvb light i cant see it finishing 30 days faster then without uvb....but, im no expert.

Would really like to try some of those strains you mentioned.....

Good to hear Gruber. Pot has helped me a lot with anxiety issues. The sativas more than the hybrids or indica. If you can ride out the rocket blast of a good sativa, you can handle other things in life that are trying. That is my theory of why it works but could be more to it. I had anxiety stuff when I just used the calm hybrids and indicas but now with switching to sativas the anxiety is really not a big concern today. They give speed or ritalin to hyper kids so... I do not smoke all the time or at times of stress, this has a long lasting relief effect that goes beyond being high and continues long after.

My light cycle is 9.5/14.5 so really short lights on. The light I use is a 10,000 Kelvin fluorescent. It is called the 'finisher' but I use it thru out veg and flower. That and the uvb bulb I add for a few days late in flower, shortens flowering up to 20%.

Tried a bit more. Man this is strong stuff. Creeps and then stays around for a long time. One plant seems to have less noids or none really, and the other a bit of that. Hard to say after just a couple times with either. It will change your view of the world big time. I found a couple seeds in the bud I took. Do not remember pollinating it with anything, hermie? Saving the seeds.
