DIY with Quantum Boards

So you could do better???? Where is everyone elses "stock"? It's an 8-10 week lead time on the LEDs. Did we expect these to be this popular this quickly? We have tried to increase qty with demand and the no stock problem will be a thing of the past soon. Remember we listed these in November and we didn't have a whole lot of interest and sales until around January.... Yeah well it's April and we haven't had that much time to adjust.....
Some people don't understand how things work but are very quick to judge. I mean really do you think we like telling people no I can't take your money because we are sold out? Of course not.

All the other vendors are jumping in trying to catch a quick buck. Sure Samsung has the best mid power but it does seem to be a pity that we had to spend all the time and money on developement and testing for others to just jump in and not pay there dues.... We went in a very specific direction and there are those that have made boards with the same LEDs that you haven't seen us complain about but when you use the same optics and all it is kinda a kick in the teeth to someone like me who spent 100s of hours simulating every know optic and coming up with a really well thought out design. At the end of the day I don't really care. We've had to endure all the naysayers and prove this tech.... Now the profiteers move in. I guess that's how it goes.

Don't think that we have been resting on our laurals.... I devote a lot of time to development and no I haven't stopped so you will see more great things coming from HLG soon. When you purchase from us you are fueling our testing and development (which isn't free by a long shot).

Now back on topic and let's enjoy the great pics and grow journals here in the LED section.....
Most of the people complaining have absolutely ZERO real life business experience. They couldn't sell snowcones in Hell. LOL

@Stephenj37826 would love to see the output of one of the simulations for a 4x4 mylar tent with 4 qb304's to give them most even canopy coverage, then know the spacing of the boards. I centered mine 1 board over each quadrant of the tent.

I will work on that soon. It's a bit more complex than a wide open room as I will need to change the reflective values of the walls and also need to simulate plant material below so we don't have undo reflectance at the floor...... I will work on it but I know it will be a few weeks out as I'm leaving for a couple of weeks Tues.

Other than its a pain in the ass if you run it inside your tent... switched to short jumpers of T wire to a wago, then from there to the driver with 18 gauge twin lead I found at the hardware store. The twin lead is soft and flexible and hangs better from the light IMO
Does anyone see a problem with the thermostat wire?

Thermastat wire don't have correct voltage or at least what I picked up did not, be careful.

I'll have to re-build it later a little nicer and weld one up instead of using clunky hardware. But anyone can put this together in thier living room, only power tool needed is a drill. It's not the pretiest but could easily be made to look nicer using a drill press, chop saw or miter saw instead of a hacksaw, cap nuts to finish off the bolt ends, etc.

This light will cover my 3x3 percetly but could also cover a 4x4 probably without even scaling it up.
