Well, I'm a firm believer that when one signs up to do a public journal they show the good, the bad, & the ugly. Here's the ugly. Yup, that's the SolarSpec 260.
Yes, I did the mapping on the Pro-9, it's got it's own thread called "My Amare PPFD mapping" I think.
What's your grow space? Might wanna consider 2 Pro-4's if you don't have high ceilings for the Pro-9. I'm real happy w/ the light distribution on the 4's. Next grow I'll be switching out the 450 for the Pro-9 if I don't buy another 4 to take its place. The 4's the best fit for my space being 4'6" wide w/ low ceilings.
What's your grow like? If I remember correctly you just got the 260 recently right? Probably haven't finished a grow under it yet? I saw the spectral reading from the SS-150 Epi, it's got allot if IR. Should make for some big buds.
All wives want us to have the 9'r. Lol!! Shouldn't be to hard to convince.
Feel free to share your grow here if you want.
My total space is 2.2 x 2.2 m but I will have a tent just for veg and flower maybe 1.3 x 1.3m. I want the IC, I have one exhaust directly outside so mught aswell use the Pro9 exhaust. I run @ 150cmf for exhaust so the niner will handle that just fine. I have enough height but I won't use all that power, might go with dimmable cob's.
Hey thanks, I will throw a pic or tow here. I don't know if I will use the Amare for flower, it has so nice vege potential. Will post the dreams I have in vege soon to flower. Wish I had a Gorilla shorty for vege... wish I had the money for one. But with the led comming soon... no fricking way.
I'm tagging along and now I go find the 9 ppfs.

Hybrid do you use RO water? Should I invest in a RO system? I think my water is bad'ish... More than that I can't keep the feed or water at a certain ph for more then 12h.. it keep bouncing back...

I do now but never did before. My last grow spot had such a great water source but this one is nasty. I judge it by drinking, then the PPM meter/pen.
I almost feel like the RO water is what's causing me some issues but it's prolly more because I'm not hip on how to use it right. I add Cal-Mag first to my water before mixing the feed now. But the thing I don't like is if I adjust my feed to be weaker or use certain additives, I find myself having to use PH up. Really don't like adding that stuff to my mix.
What's your grow style? You in hydro or dwc ? Maybe get the tester strips from the city to determine the quality. Sometimes the ppms aren't a bad thing depending on what they are. My last grow came out of the sink @ zero but I know it had some goodies in it from the great taste. Now that I'm RO, I'm @ zero again rather then the 110 it was coming out at but no good taste.
My recommendation & general rule of thumb is if you won't drink it from the tap them get an RO. But to each his own.
Not sure why your ph bounces. Are you following a feeding recipe that comes w/ your Nute line?

Plants are shaping up. Starting raising the lights last night for more uniformity. Actually had the best Average PPFD when they were all jacked up high. When I lowered them the #'s between the lights dropped down to 700. Still good but am not feeling the whole 1100/1200 -700/800 unevenness.
When they are higher (about 2') it was 1000-900 pretty even.
The Kings leaves look a bit beat. Pretty sure it's due to lack of plant health though cuz last run I had lenses on over a Kings plant pretty low too (27") & they were in better shape.
This whole run isn't the best. Had plant health problems, a poor veg, & then I poisoned them pretty bad right off the rip.
So, they got flushed last night again.

Water tastes like shit and after I wash the sink witch is black all that black becomes white from calcar or w/e.
I use soil and Advance Nutrients... tried to use BioBiz but they just dont grow... now AN is ok but I just can't get it right... The plants react best when feeded at 4ml like AN web says but in mid flower I always get yellowing ... no clue why... being from EU idk what would beat AN...
I'd like something where I can controll the ph and ppm, maybe that will put me in top of things.

If your tap is 110 why not just carbon filter it rather than RO and just roll?

If you ph is bouncing back you alot lime in your water you will have to do something about it my well water is over 300 ppm and gives me lockout if I use it becauso to much calcium will lockout other notes if you can't afford to try zero water it lowers PPm to .01. And lowers ph

You mean to tell me my local municipality is pumping my water straight from china when the river with the pump tower is just 5 miles from here? :P
RO is causing more people problems than it is helping imho
He says that the chemicals used in water come form china? I think, but lol!!

Anyways, as I promised... my 2 BD under the SE260. Have some more plant but No Amare no show!
Nice healthy girls. It's all good, show us what you're working w/. Don't have to be Amare. This thread is non-biased as much as some may think I am, I am deffinetly not.
I've grown w/ so many different light sources it's crazy. Also, I like & believe others work great, it's just that when some people here on RIU tried to put down Amare saying tons of stuff that wasn't true, I stepped in & told the truth. I dont care what anyone uses as long as their happy.
What are you flowering w/ ?
That's BlueDream? Looks allot better then the pheno I had. Mine was a small yielder & slow plant. But it produced bomb bud.

No but I have some & plan on totally switching up my Nutes & the way I care for my plants after this harvest.
I'd like to maybe go House n Garden w/ some organics too. Maybe more soil & tea amendments. Not sure yet. Been on TechNaFlora for a few years now.

I was just saying because I read you were flushing your plants and the yucca helps rince out salt and doesn't allow media to get hydrophobic which binds salts easier

Got some reading to do but I agree RO is a bitch. Carbon filter is usually enough especially with chlorinated water. Hybrid I hated adding the blue and orange shit so I searched. Nectar for the gods is about as good as it gets. It's basically just calcium, a couple drops is all it takes. I also add in gh silica to depending on the outcome of the ph as it raises the levels quite a bit.
