It made it through the state senate and is going to governors desk and scooter says he is signing it.
So I dont have a union at my work so this doesnt directly effect but I know quite a few carpebters and steamfitters and they are pissed as fuck! I just dont understand how this is supposed to move our state forward? Only stats I have seen about right to work is that every state that has it has 3% lower wages across the board.... Are people forgetting that the middle class is practically non existant already? Now we are in the fast lane to working poor and rich as social classes.

Ahhh jeez us that the company I am keeping now lol
Hows that working for you guys?
oh! we've been this way forever..low, low stagnant wages and the right to "kick you lose" for no reason.

your state goes downhill in a RTWS.

yet when you go to unemployment they try to make up bullshit that never existed.

fortunately, this is no longer the "good ole days" (via federal regulation) and an employer must have documentation when they trash their employee.

FTW: your state's unemployment is actually more in your pocket than your company's; they know employers lie especially in a "right to work state".

in a country where corporations don't get the vote..it amazes me how they are still able to run it.

and why "the lobby" has not been outlawed.
corporations are people.
But seriously people either don't vote or vote against their very own interest.

no LF until this country outlaws lobby, "we the people" will never have the representation that our forefathers planned for us.

for as long as cash is exchanged for votes.
When I say vote against their very own interest think about this. How many knuckleheads on RIU would vote for someone who is against legalization of marijuana all because they are GOP. Hell how many voted for Romney.
Hell Romney was all for corporations and criminalization of marijuana but yet you still had fools here voting for him. Voting against their very own interest.

but you don't know how many of the GOP'ers here really smoke/grow. they just say they do. most here are capitalist small business owners benefiting from the same government teat which they vote against.

marx had it right!

The solution to this is deregulation and a TRULY free market, not the existing crony capitalism. That's where they have people by the balls.

Capitalistic cronyism can be defeated, but people have to be free to innovate, grow what they want, and do what they want in response to market demands, not overlord regulation and commands.

Independence doesn't come through government spanking corporations, governments are corporations literally and figuratively. A truly free market that allows competing currencies, encourages local food production, free trade and walks away from the present paradigm will take the rug out from under them.

The Two headed beast is not your friend. Both heads need to be removed.

Are there any right to work states that are doing well? Or are they all shitholes?

you have lower wages in a right to work state. I guess you can look at your southern states and judge how well they are doing. They all are RTW
Income Growth In Right-to-Work States Significantly Higher
Since 1990, most of states with fastest wage growth are RTW while most with least wage growth are non-RTW

Welp

What bothers me most about right to work is that if you work for a union shop, you don't have to join, but the union has to represent you, that seems stupid.

How about if you want to join a union and enjoy it's benefits you can, but if you don't join, you get none of the union ransoms.

fail. look at florida and texas. it's those that matter most who have the highest minority populations and are lowest on the chart.

actually, if you are in a union in this state and don't pay dues you are still covered by the union and all of it's benefits.

much to the chagrin of those who pay their dues.

unfortunately, you don't know very much about what you speak and are speaking erroneously.

it is actually quite a sore spot here between dues paying members vs. those who benefit.
