Whats up RIU! Just took this picture about 10 minutes ago this is a special breed, Denver kush, its a Durban poison x afghan kush. anyways started 5 off as seeds and 3 were females now they are about 3.5 weeks old and their leaves are about 10 inches across!!! its kind of insane ive never seen them this big this early.

Anyone else got cool stuff to show?

been growing over 10 years, and still find it funny that alot of newbys see 9 finger leaves and asume its a male and throw it away.lol... ive found that in veg a seed mom almost always has 9-11 finger leaves,, males seem to be 9 fingered too..so the fingers on a leaf can never determine sex..however, ever notice that once the original mother is replaced w/ a clone , the new clone mother never gets the 9 fingered leaves again most times 7..ive only had 1 plant in all my years that the clone mom still had 9 fingered leaves and by the 3rd clone mom it was 7 and never had 9 again..

im growing durban poison from dutch passion wright now and was expecting it to have thin long fingers as its a sativa land race,,on the contrary, the fingers are fat and almost black, dark, dark green.. arent most sativas suppose to have long thin fingers and a lighter green color than indica's?? also i know durban poison is a fast finish sativa but mine was done in 7 weeks!!! im also growing skunk#1 by seedsman and it has huge dark green leaves with fat fingers and the skunk should be sativa dominant but looking at mine it must be an indica dominant phenio..
Anyways has anyone else grown durban poison from dutch passion and if so, did it look more indica than sativa like mine?? Or do all durban poison plants suppose to look this way??

The durban this was breed with was a full indica and the kush was full sativa this denver kush is a 50/50, But to answer your question sativa = long thin leaves, indica = thick shorter leaves. indicas like to get darker than sativas. Ive cloned several 9 leaves, its all about perfect genetics. if youre loosing genetics then your mother isnt pure. not a bad thing just all the DNA inst their. a clone should be an exact copy of the plant, shoulnt be watering down. I use a 100+ aero cloner that i built. not sure if cloning method would make a difference. but of my 3 mothers all clones that come off them are 9's everytime when they veg out.

thanks, i use an airo cloner to, maybe i never get the nine fingers again as most of the clones only get a week or 2 of veg before flowering..but the clones that replace the original seed mom very seldom get the nine fingers again and i make sure to never clone a mom till she is geneticly mature and clones root in 5-10 days so very little stress..idk?

are you suggesting my durban poison from dutch passion may not be durban poison as i said the leaves are dark and fat fingers?? i bought a pack of 10 seeds that came in an original dutch passion packaging.. i only plants 2 and got 1 male 1 female so i still have 8 seeds left but they should be uniform as it sais their durban poison is inbred only never hybridized so all seeds should be nearly identical...

I had a strain that did 13 normal blades and two baby extras overlaying the main portion. Also had a strain that would occasionally make a little popcorn nug where the leaflets start.

These werent dutch passion seeds, they were from a local breeder near me. so idk? lol my babies get 2 months of veg before flower...yeah, i grow monster trees. clones stay in cloner for up to a month depending on how big the root ball is and how big i want it, i select certain ones to be trees, 20-25 gallon pots take up some space and i flower 10 at a time 5 are 4 weeks apart (pulling every 4 weeks) so i have to be conservative lol cant have 10, 20 gallon pots with huge trees in them in an 12x12x8.

their are 2 durban poison in the front of row 4 in my build, and the 3 plants on the right side of my bloombox are also durban poison,,
Epic build dude! I looked at them, they look about right, but like you said you didnt veg for long, i veg for up to 2 months. These girls were actually suppose to be 50/50 hybrid BUT seems to be full indica dominate and HEAVY. i weighed a leaf fresh cut, over 15 grams thats pretty heavy and she throws them up in the air no problem!

damn 2 months veg!!! must be huge!! check out my journal if you want, the link is in my last reply...i grow 3-4 foot plants sog style in a home made dwc recirculating system, works great and the roots are massive, they literally fill the pvc, sometimes to the point to were the water wont flow properly im re building a new one soon in hopes of avoiding the problem of roots blocking the water from draining properly...

I had a random branch with a popcorn bud at the end and a trifoliate leaf grow out of a calyx off a weird jack cheddar it was weird, lol

YAH, Im having a problem with roots clogging the pvc and slowing the water from draining=overflow on one side..im going to rebuild soon using either bigger pvc if i can get it, or changing the 90's to t.s so all the tubes are more conected for draining..i live in the middle of nowere so most hardware stores dont carry bigger than 4'' pvc but id like to go w/ 6'' pvc for better drainage.. the roots are truly massive and causing problems, but i should end up with some great yields..i hope.lol

These were Platinum Bubba Kush, while the leaves were large indoor, these outdoor girls had leaves that would cover my whole hand + some behind them...
