Just, be careful. Mothers/clones/perpetual ... It leads to harder shit, like homemade hydroponic assemblies, coco mixes that drain better, recycling media with hot washes, multiple mothers, stressing plants for pollination purposes, crazy cross strains. Oh, it leads to copious amounts of bomb weed, also. And, when you slip down that slope, and have multiple mothers, it'll be copious amount of multiple strains...

I will wait to have multiple mothers till I move to a bigger place and have a room dedicated to my grow. As for homemade hydro, I already have that dialed in. I just choose to use soil..

No, you won't. You'll try. You'll tell yourself that you are going to flower that old mother, as soon as you see signs of maturation on the new one. And, then you'll keep her, but she'll be too big, and you'll have 2 strains growing already, so you'll take an extra clone, and that'll become your second mother. You'll be like "meh, not so bad. I can handle three in here" And suddenly you'll have 4 mothers, 20 in perpetual at a time, and a nute habit more expensive than a junkie's annual bill!
But, you keep telling yourself "just one mother, just 6 in flower."
(Is it a thread-jack, if it's about the production of future joints?)

What I would end up doing is seeing my aurora indica mother getting so big and then I'd think, hmmmm., I bet she would give me so much weed if I flowered her, then dooop.. I've heard the clones of clones of clones are weaker theories. My anecdotal evidence is "Not so!" But, as with anything it varies I guess. The trick will be like me, than... Don't keep a seed stash, lest you dip into it for more mothers. (You know, when she's just not giving the potential you need, you figure "I'll fix this problem, won't be an issue in 4 weeks!")
I really miss growing, and can't wait until I can get going again.

I know what you mean. If a plant isn't cooperating with me, I'll usually just go and grab another seed and say screw you to the other one. I'll continue to grow it, just won't get all my attention.
Guess it doesn't help I'm gonna be ordering about another 10 seeds in about a month. most of them are different strains.

Yeah i know what you mean, i tend to do that when i'm rolling really fat joints. I like cones more myself, with a small but even roach (filter). I've never understood the way some people do it, where they roll the joint then add the filter after, always seems to be a bit loose.
Anyway, that's the joy of joints. Everyone's got their own style of twisting.
