Nice! I guess if beans were sprouted before the thaw it would help. This one time, back at band camp, some pistils were super pink from the cold. So awesome

Ya, that's what I did last year sprouted them in my front window, then transplanted them when it was time. If I was smart, I'd have them well established before moving outside but was always concerned about going from indoor to outdoor...knowing me, I'd find a way to fuck it up royally.
