Why do you newbs always grow auto's?

I recommend coco coir/perlite 80/20 in a five or more gallon bucket, the roots on this thing will shock you. For some reason it didnt take in hydro and mine only grew a little above average in soil the first go around. Also do one plant at a time if you have 3'x3' or less grow space. When i used coir it exploded. Ive seen pros do really good in hydro but mine just sat there and turned yellow.

OK. I have 7 gallon bag pots at the moment and I have a t5 light for veg growth and 2, 10 band LEDs for flower . think that will be enough?

Is there any pre-rinsing of medium ?

My mix is:

A local cheap organic humus. I add worm castings and compost. I make both.

The compost is, leaves, stalks and left over plant material from the garden, food scraps, chicken cow horse manure.

I add, alfalfa, kelp, down to earth all purpose, espoma garden tone, lime, crushed oyster shell, sand.

I have went no till in my outdoor vegetable garden.

Hey Man,

How do you use the agromax pure UV? What is the spacing? How long do you run it? At aht point during the grow did you start using it?

Im using mine today for the first time. I've got about 17-21 inches space to canopy in a 2x4. Im using the 48"t5 HO.

I apologize if youve already stated this info.

I run one bulb, from the start at about 12 inches. If you haven't run it from the start your spacing should be ok.

I started with the 10,000k+uva bulb then switched to the pure UV bulb. I've been running it with the other bulbs the whole time. My light has two switches. I turn it off when working around it.

@RM3, am I correct in running the UV bulb the lights on cycle?
