Who else agrees that big box store nutrients are just fine

I would just like to say that none of the pro's that I know, use "big box store" nutes.....there must be a reason.
yes but perhaps that's because they and/or their custom base wouldn't approve
The problem I have with MG or all other time release nutes is they take away all control I have as a grower.....
I also did the crazy expensive AN line, my first grow....NEVER AGAIN!
maxsea = $100 a year....I don't even have interest in trying other nutes....
Im a fan of the basic veg/flower lines if u can afford to spend a little extra, but anything more seems unnecessary.

I've been amazed at how much Maxsea they can pump into the plants. Double doses, twice a week.....it's not hard to use up a bucket of Maxsea with 75 monsters......the growth can be astounding!

I have used cheap big box store fertilizers before with out problems. I do not use anything time released, but the liquid/powders you would put into a garden hose sprayer to feed a lawn or garden. Using a PPM/EC tester I mix into water to make low, medium, and high dose mixes. It has worked just fine in a hydro setup and a lot cheaper, as long as the NPK is in the range one needs. If you do it that way in soil, it should all balance out without burning as soil should have the additional macro nutrients/buffers that is normally lacking in hydro grows.

I agree that regular ferts are just fine. In my limited experience I've grown with Jack's and it works great for. For the first time ever I stopped in a grow store in town and was geeking off all the cool labels on the nutes and tripping out how expensive they are for what they are. No thanks.

you can grow perfectly healthy plants
on the 20-20-20 shit they sell at any garden store make sure it includes macros/trace elements
along with some epsom salts

I've never been able to go full organic because of my location but have used synthetic nutes with pretty good results. Can't say great results after seeing those monster plants.. makes my normal 6'-8' plants look kind of pathetic.
