When to move plants to biggers pots

Just a tweek - when you upcan, your plants need some time to get established. When you upcan close to or during the flowering response root production is put on the back burner in favor of the reproductive cycle.

Sorry to sound stupid, but do you mean let them settle first (as they have been reppotted) for a few days then flip the switch ???

Here is an update of some pics

Im gona flip the switch in a couple of days, I have sorted out the carbon filter and inline fans and also put in the hps light. I may also add a 200w cfl light in a week also, the space has been made.

they are way too big for that space!!, i also think the pots are a bit small for soil.

you are going to have a lot of work cut out for you in the future my friend. all good so far though.

take everything uncle ben tells you with a pinch of salt, he is an old man set in his ways and is rather ignorant to the practise of many cannabis growers of the 21st century. there are many more helpful people on here who will have a similar grow style to yourself.

Meaning, that when you upcan a plant into a larger pot it will take 5 days or so to become established, depending on the plant's vigor.

Really don't know how much clearer I can be than in my first response which focuses on plant processes. Now, if you want me to TELL you what I'd do based on 40 + years of growing just about everything and anything including repotting tens of thousands of plants..... then upcan, wait a week so the root system can become established (branch and grow INTO the new medium) then flip. AGAIN, root production becomes a secondary plant process when in flowering mode, meaning, get your root system and foliage mass where you want it and then flip.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the pots are too small and those plants will quickly become potbound. Translation - the balance will not be correct for maximum production.

Good luck

Also, as most do (in error I might add) you'll box yourself in when using a tent or any system with fixed walls. Your garden is dynamic, it is not fixed. It expands and contracts, etc. Build it so that the side reflecting panels are mobile.

you are gonna have to lst to the extreme my man!

the liberty haze will grow to 3 times it's height, so if it is 3ft now it will be 9ft when finished no shit!

if i were you i'd trim off the bottom half of the plants leaving only the main branches, then tie them to the side of the pot and you might get away with it......maybe lol

Let them get slightly root bound if possible, comes out a lot easier with less root damage.

For DWC though, if the roots can touch the bottom of the new net pot it's good enough for me.

11 liters aka 3 gallons? You should be OK.

LST? Why? If you have the headroom I'd grow them out to bushes and leave well enough alone. I'd also flip now.

Id trim some of they lower braches off each plant and it will allow more energy to go to the upper branches and give u bigger fuller buds, just a suggestion for u,
well said Gaz get rid of the lower shite and dont listen to some old texan fart who tells u to grow weed like tomatoes...like some old fukin record, lollipop tha cunts and see what happens if u grow under flat lights sense science and reality give u more yield per sq ft...how ya doin anyway UB

Depends on what you want your plant to look like:

When the largest leaves have grown out to the point where they reach the pot rim you can figure the same growth for the root support system. The leaves grow at about the same rate as the roots, eh? That means your roots are established when the leaves reach the rim. Time to make a decision at that point. Leaving the plant in the pot after the leaves hit the rim will make the plant more dense and bushier. Immediately TP'ing when the leaves hit the rim will make for a taller, less bushy plant.

If you are growing in a tent you probably want a shorter plant. That means leave her in the old pot 10-14 days longer. That should pretty much double the number of bud sites.

Good luck, BigSteve.
