So most know my garden was shredded by scalpels and immature people who don't know what they're doing.found bits and pieces of immature bud around my yard, scalpel and a pack of gum.. lucky I found pieces I can clone, hopefully..

I usually post in the outdoor, but not I'll be growing inside this winter so I need a little help.

I am on a budget, growing outdoors is was cheep and indoors is the complete opposite of that..

I have space for 6 autos or maybe 4 decent sized plants like my outdoor ones. I'd like to get the outdoor size, indoors..

Any help would be appreciated, I'm going to grow an auto regardless, so I just need to know what would be more beneficial to me at this point.
Also, I have a few clones at 8 months old from my ..once was plants. Ugh so mad. But moving in and need a little help to do so.

(I'll post measurements of my closet when I'm home)

So anyone who has done a closet grow in about a 4x4 space maybe more again haven't measured.. can list what they did to start out, moy lighting and placement, ventilation; I am pretty wise for my age, so I also have my own research to do and have done. I know I'm looking at those t5 lights, my neighbor used them and loved them.

Just depressed and want to get back on the horse asap :)

T-5's will work. You really need to mix up the spectrum's with those. You'll also need like at least 16 bulbs for quality lighting. This will still be limiting your effective plant height to about 36 inch's and that's kinda pushing it for the lower branching.

4x4 and HID would be served well by a 600 w......

A COB LED system would be great. Costly though.

If your going to run Auto's. You should run Mephisto Genetic's strains. These guys have auto's down. Best quality and potency in auto's out there.. @whitebb2727 Knows what I mean on that.
How about some strain suggestions for her Wbb.. Please add your 2 cents on lighting and such for a closet too.

Auto's can be fussy, so less is more as a rule. pH should be watched in soil. If you run synthetic.

A closet does need to be vented and air exchanged.
With winter coming, HID lighting, being cooled with air and blown into a used room. Will help keep it warm... Keeping proper RH in winter, can be interesting.

There's my 2 cents..

Good luck..

Let's of great information, I was thinking HID as well, ventilation is easy and humility is kept low in much room always.

Strains sadly I have set, spent 200$ on a seed order last week preparing for next season and my green house grow. But I will take suggestions for next year!

I love autos, Pineapple Express was my first auto and is my fave. Quality over quantity for sure but that's how I like it :)

I was going to scrog, but my closet is not wide enough for the amount of plants I want. So I'm doing 4 fem, two auto and just lst and super crop.

Cost is an issue, hence why I'm an outdoor grower but this year I grew 9 different strains, got to harvest 5 of them so that's not bad. One being my own cross "white bastard".

I'm pretty sure my space is 4x4x8
So hight isn't an issue, but width is. :/

I am going to have botches for trays to slide into the wall, for different stages, and open up options to grow more at once.

Thanks again for all the info I'm writing it down as we speak lol

Hell, if plant #'s aren't an issue for you.....SOG that thing with a 600 w HID......With the right strains and flipping photo's at 8 inch's.....You can do over 3 gpw. Limiting factors are strain, and they must be dialed in before the run. The more 1 gallon pots you can cram in there, the more zips you get. My average was right at 32 grams a plant. Now multiply that by 64 and see what I mean about SOG (That was a particular pot that would allow that many in a 4x4 space.)

I've had a lot of fun in the past. Simply seeing just what I could get out of a 2x2 and 4x4 area.... #'s are an issue here now......Not doing that again. I like to comply with the grow laws now (learned my lesson)...

Now you have things you can play with.....8-)

When I used t5 i used the durolux ones off amazon. About 100 bucks for a 8 bulb one. The bulbs were double stacked.

You would want 16 bulbs in a 4x4. Anytbing mephisto is good. Dinafem xxl autos are good.

Here are some autos in a 2x4 under a 4 foot 8 bulb t5.

Sorry to hear you got robbed...

I put together a 4x4 tent set up earlier this year for about $550 plus the cost of nutrients. Bought some gear used from Craigslist including 600w ballast, hood, 6" can fan, and some hydro pumps. It was a mistake buying the ballast used, died during the second grow and the used price is not worth the savings vs. buying new.

If you need to save some money, maybe look into used gear with the exception of ballast, bulb, nutrients, carbon filters, and water pumps. They all have a life span, and again it's not worth the savings vs buying new. And new gets you a warranty.

600w hps probably best bang for the buck, if you can take the heat.
T5's aren't bad, lack penetration so keep plants shorter and mix bulbs red/blue
cmh I hear are great, and run cool but more money
led good ones will cost you
CFL is another option

autos grown in quality soil wont need much if any nutes, my experience anyway.
carbon filter if smell is an issue
in vent (could be passive)
exhaust (should be active) small induct booster fan works heat pending
Cooling for lighting if running HPS

could grab a tent or just paint the closet flat white and seal it up decently, autos don't mind the light so more for smell.

Amazon has everything, at low prices too. I personally don't usally buy used grow equipment cause like mentioned before it could be on its last leg. also bugs could hitch a ride.

LST them autos, especially using T5's

hope the thieves meet karma.

When life gives you thieves, switch to indoors..

I haven't grown outdoors since the early 80s when one of my outdoor grows was snatched up while I was in the hospital with appendicitis.

don't know about those leds
t8's can be a cheaper alternative to t5.

maybe you can keep bees next year, honey and security. plus the world needs more bees.
Allergic ahahah but thank you, honestly just trying to do a Amal grow until I put up my green house and heater for the outdoor grow attempt 2 lol this time imma have a plant just for them; covered in rat poison :) hope they die

I have 17 clones so far, and my 58 seeds coming with many autos; so I'll keep looking at lights. I only need the lights, that's all I'm missing. I was looking into those led spectrum ones because of the size and the face they use a basic plug; I can't afford to have an electrician come in lol

I'm really loving his community and how we lol out for each other! My budget for lights as of now is about 200$ and I can grow on it a summer I make profit. Sadly my plants were some of my profit, I was selling to a local dispensary so they are kinda pissed lol

Would 600w led spectrum be bad for a bedroom closet about 4x4x8?

I have all else set up ugh just need the lights to get started

Bad? No. But it depends on the LED you are talking about. Some LED's claim to be a 1000w but really only pull about 200-300 at the wall. Lying would be an ugly but accurate term for the practice. One of those cheap chinese LED's wouldn't be enough light for a 4x4.

600 watts of cob or a panel like Chilled may even be a little high. But they can be dimmed so you would be ok.

I run a 3x3 and 300 watts works well. So for a 4x4 probably a minimum of 400 watts would work for flower.
