yep same boat but they jus need alil time for sure hell im willin to wait haha mine are 35 days in and look bout the same id say one plant is showing a red hair here and there and tons of trics hehe looks like it snowed under a led light hehe mainly its jus putting out a last ditch effort to find some male goop to make babies but yes its usually the last week to two weeks you can expect them to swell into goddeses


trics are the way man( not sayin you didnt kno but i jus wanted to share this with you it made me laugh)
haha ive like to think of em like boobs it takes they come in stages lil girls nothin to be happy about(clear trics) high school nice but still growin haha( cloudy trics) college age to late 20s mmmmm good stuff( half and half cloudy amber) and older lady some like cougers me i dont like saggy boobs( mostly to all amber)

i have seen some pictures and alot of people need to cut down with the nitrogen near the end of their flowering. Ur plant should turn slightly yellow. if it is dark green jus try using less nitrogen and MORE potassium n magnesium. i may be wrong but from my experience that and flushing helps buds to swell. what do you think?

Its all genetics bro.... some swell up sooner than others, and by the looks of the pic your plant looks to be on the sativa side, which means your flowering time should be more than 8 weeks,...
Other than needing a little more patients your plant looks healthy ..

I'm growing Mango (supposedly) I believe that it is anyway. Im comming into the 6th week of a 6 to 7 week flower and they are FAT! like the size of a beer bottle (no pics) which is indicative of mango. Some hairs are turning and some are brown and withered, which by my understanding is peak flowering. I decided to start the flush, hopefully only one week maybe two, depending on ripeness (at least i have the option) The only thing im uncertain about is if they will really add anymore weight or if i should just take em down. im looking for an energetic head high so i was thinkin to crop out at the end of the 6th week. plus im impatient and "time is money" If anyone has experience with mango or input on if they will add weight or not plz let me know! I just want to do whats best for my sexy ladies! ill try to get pics soon!

shady tree you got/had there. mines soon three weeks into flowering with weak weak wack ass cfl's and they look the same as yours...but with much much more trichomes though. look like snow just fell onto the plant

ya and did anyone notice how glossy and dark his leaves are? sure sign of to much nitrogen. to much nitrogen during veg isnt always a bad thing unless the get the infamous "nitrogen claw." but to much N during flowering can delay and slow bud growth. cut down on n uptake and at the very least go get some unsulphered molasses, and they should plump up waaaaayyyyy niiiicccceee....lol

Jumpin in on this... I know from my beginnings I used a light hood made of CFL's I built myself and it held a mix of 12 26w-42w mixed spectrum cfl bulbs at max it was at 412w. It was able to make some nice buds, not extremely thick, but ladden with crystals and a nice smoke. I STILL use that hood for my veg chamber but also have a 600w for flowering now. The HPS really REALLY pumps out the calyxs and therefore the buds themselvs into much more dense and heavy flowers.

Summary CFLs DO work, work well and will give you a good product...BUT HPS will bring on the denseness and weight of any product you have bought commercially off the street.

man im goin through the same thing. my fuckin buds are small and not swelling. ive also looked for detailed info on the flowering stage and its life from start to finish and there is fuck all information on the subject. everything is the same quote bullshit about practical stuff repasted on every fuckin website. im starting to get impatient. an ecperiment plant i had in a pc stealth grow got fried large fan leaves and everything else seemed fine. the buds are super small just basically pistils and theyre all pretty much turned red. theyre starting to shrivle and fry so to speak. the plant has water... thought it was going to be fine but it seems to be fucked. way before another one i had in the same pc box. wtf. its bagseed so maybe its just shit...

cfl will create lots of tricomes but without HPS you wont get those tricomes filled with THC. your gonna have some flashy bud with no punch. n

I've gotten awesome quality with flouros, just not much quantity as was said. I also find that in the final 2 weeks, you really don't see much change in the size of buds and colas, but during this time they are developing internally and becoming more dense which means more weight.

I have a good understanding of all the stages, including, cutting, hash harvesting, curing, drying, etc. Just the last couple weeks or a timeline of what to expect during flowering is hazy between pistils stretching out around 1 to 2 weeks and the actual swelling of the calyxes.

Im having your same issue now. I was wondering how did it end up. When did they start to swell? I feel like I'm doing something wrong as growth has stopped into the 4-5 week ao wondering how you ended up to get somewhat of an idea on if this is it or if they're gunna grow more. Hope you reply, thanks! :)

This may be a bit late but....I. had this same issue once to where I ended up finally finishing this plant in about MONTH 6....plant was only 2' at harvest.

Here's wut the problem was. I was a noob for 1 & couldn't get enuff of looking @ my plants, didn't take the "dark period" seriously enuff to to do all I could to make it completely dark for 12 hours ! I got the bright white hairs & was soooo excited, then about 4 weeks in there was stretching & some hairs but still no beef, 6 1/2 weeks, still hairs no beefing up !

Finally I found my way onto the internet & found "RIU" ! It wasn't long before after a lot of reading past threads & finally aking for help, I was told that I had to be having light leaks & that even the smallest amount of light can throw off the plants cycle....in my case it seem to keep my plant frozen in the 3rd week of flower....well I sealed the leaks & left the plant alone during the dark periods...by this time tho the plant had been in flower for over 3 months....vegged, again for another 2 weeks & flowered correctly.

LIGHT LEAKS ARE NO JOKE !

And that's with CFL's. It it possible to get a great crop with CFL's as long as you know what your doing. Good Job Batatare:clap:
