What's For Dinner Tonight?

Well i learnt my first rule of making beef jerky in the oven. Don't get home form work and think there is time before bed to make jerky. Was up til the wee hours waiting for it to finish. Ah well. dehydrator should arrive tomorrow, and can just leave that on all night :)

It turned out very dark, although not as dark as the picture suggests, but it tasted fantastic. I ate about 3/4 of it while going to bed, smart move for someone already behind on sleep. Took some to work and everyone really liked it. Hopefully it will get that proper leather colour with the dehydrator, or could simply be the recipe.

and another 700g of steak in the oven for the long haul :) added more onion and soy, and oyster sauce this time. In an hour i'm going to grind some black pepper over half of it. Turns out that while my oven is shit, the other oven will let me select temps. Fuck digital microwave ovens!

Now i need some tip money so i can run out and buy a shiny vacuum sealer.

Have always been aware that there is no affordable or tasty jerky in the UK so looking into how feasible it would be to ram up production a bit later down the line and sell to local delis etc as a bit of side money.

It's definately something worth consideration. I would much rather find a path and create a business than take the semi-safe route of just getting a degree and a desk job. I'd rather not have £75k of debt just for a degree.

Not a lot of people round here like red lobster..it's considered second rate seafood, being close to the coast(1hr away)there are better places to eat seafood here.
I love red lobster though...lol....I think it's a nostalgia thing, they've been around since I was kid.

i was near I-75 doing the disney thing so it was real handy. ate there 3 times in a fortnight. it's so rare to find good lobster here in the uk unless #you know a spot you can noodle yourself. now those are the best ones i ever ate.
