Yeah, I dont really know of anyone else that does it either, but i have been doing it for years, I don't know if it helps induce flowering, but my thought process is that it does, and if it doesnt it doesnt seem to bother the ladies. but then again I'm not a doctor just a man with a tent, a light and some fox farms :-P But why you are here did I trim up enough off the bottom for your taste?

I have had spider mites before...I picked up a few clones off criagslist let just say lesson learned haha , they were supposed to be purple widow clones lets just say they were trash, I needed up hashing that whole run but thats another story and it pisses me off to tell so long story short not only did I get shit gentics I got some pests too that being said it was about 6 months ago after three months of neem oil treatments three times a week and lady bugs once a month... i havent noticed an outbrake in about 3months I still neem oli weekley though just kinda got into the habbit. As for the spots, I thought mites myself at 1st but I couldnt find a single egg or web or bug anywhere on this plant or any others in the tent. I did do a foliar feeding, and the light came on in the middle of it, what can I say my light goes on at 6am and i didn't get up early enough to get the job done and the lady dry before the light. maybe that has something to do with it.

You can use neem as a drench as a preventative too if you weren't doing that already, it'll become systematic in the plant that way for a couple weeks.

When you apply neem weekly, do you have to spray them down with water to wash the neem oil off the fan leaves so the stomata dont become clogged? I spray with mighty wash biweekly and dont have to do that to them with mighty wash, but when i spray with h2o and tabasco I do so they dont get burned and clogged.

I use this stuff I keep a gallon mixed for my spary bottle but when I was have outbrakes I would brake down the tents and reset them up out side with the plants in and hook this bad boy up to the hose and soak the plants and the inside of the tents top to bottom. seemed to work pretty well

Never tried the product I always grab the 100 % stuff... dynagro or otherwise but you gotta mix it with a surfactant ;)

I've never had any stressed plants after neem spray,so I don't think it's a big deal. Maybe someone knows better though.

How long have you had your HPS? I had that happen to me. It was my hps...I changed the bulb and no more spots. :)

If the spotting started after you dropped the light, I would get another bulb. If that's not it, you have a bulb for next year. :)

There is a grower on YouTube who practices the 48 hour dark period to start flowering. Medicropper is his name. I can't find the video where he discusses this technique, but here's something to watch.
