Ithaca 12 gauge, semi-auto. got it from a buddy who asked me to "hold it for him" while he was out of the country. he was supposed to be gone 6 months. he came back after a year and told me to keep it. he bought it brand new and shot it once, up into the air. it was a nice gun but it had a hair trigger. dangerously hair. upon further inspection i found part of the shell eject mechanism was cracked. i ended up pawning it for 75 dollars so i could buy my gf a christmas a present.

this was some 15 years ago. back when we had places to go kill things. i have since moved and don't really have anywhere to shoot. therefore i see no reason to own a semi auto 12 gauge. i certainly don't "need" one. the grocery store is open 24/7. :bigjoint:

that was the story of one of the guns i have owned. i have many more. bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

MOOAAARRR!!!! That's quite a beauty.

we used to go out looking for fights. drunken fist fights. it was fun for everyone. sometimes you'd win, sometimes you'd lose. funny how things have changed.
I understand what you're saying but back in the day people had guns galore! Out the ass.
Its called gun enthusiast..
I also understand what you mean when you say " sometimes you win, sometimes you lose" and its still that way in some cases. "SOME".
But please don't assume that ALL gun enthusiast pull out the hammer everytime conflict arises. I would hate to be categorized with such people.
I'm a quiet fellow and I keep to myself. I would NEVER pull out a gun unless it was absoluely neccesary ( A matter of life or death ).
I know you are not closed minded fdd, and I do apologize if I missunderstood you, but man it gets my blood boiling when someone automaticly assumes that we are trigger happy. Give me a target that's not harmful to anyone and yes, yes I am trigger happy. But I don't play the role of billy the kid.
P.S. Drunken fights are always fun.... well..... when I was 21-23. Beyond that its just retarded to go looking for a brawl.
I remember when I use to get into fights with my friends. Bloody and all but right afterwards we would have a stronger bond then before the fight and would go out and get drunk luaghing at our black eyes and broken knuckles.... I found that in my younger days a fight with a friend would either build a stronger bond and respect for someone or you would just go your seperate ways... that's what I recall from my younger days..
Anybody else have this kind of experience in there past?

It is. But its the way the cookie crumbles sadly. I'd much rather shoot the 4 people trying to mug me while their shooting at me then just get shot.
that's exactly my point though.

in the UK, and many many other places, there is noone shooting at you, certainly on the odd occasion, but not frequently. int the US i's almost a "that's how it is" mentality that the bad guy will have a gun so carry yourself. they are so readily available that most mugger probably do have a gun.

in the UK more oftne than not it is a knife, and the person hands over a phone and walks off, but a knife is a HELL of a lot easier to defend against than a gun(that one is swings and roundabouts to be fair, a gun they need but take 2 steps back and you've no chance, but a gun cant slice open your stomach at close range), and if they intend to kill you, chances are they will do so regardless of weapon.

and FYI 1 on 1 in close circumstances, anyone can defend against a gun with their hands, i'm not quite talking Equilibrium style gun hand jung fu, but it's not all that complicated to get the gun out of the equation, unless the gun is held from distance, in which case it is yes, nothing but being a pussy :) if you're gonna kill someone, have some courage and do it face to face.

to quote imortal technique :P

any nigga with a red shirt can front like a blood
even Puffy smoked the motherfucker up in a club
but only a real thug can stab someone till they die
standing in front of them, starring straight into their eyes
