The Official "Anything Gun" Thread

As a Brit I must say that amongst food, movies and music, another thing I love about the Americans is their firearms policy.

My dad was living in New York about 20-25 years ago, in Manhattan. Now to buy a gun there you needed a license, so he just took the subway to Queens, bought a .303 Lee Enfield with 200 rounds and took the tube back.

For ID he used a gas bill.

Gotta love the yanks :D

The pellet gun my dad has...only requires you pump it once. Its disgusting. Went right through a robin.
That is a break-barrel or breakover air rifle. I've shot on and it was pretty bad ass. Over 1000 fps and no pop.

Ya it breaks at the barrel. They are super sick. It has a big ass scope on it.

I've found a nice 20 gauge shotgun is pretty damn fun. You'd be surprised how much fun you'd have blowing random shit up with some bird shot :D

And lol at the gas bill. I wish I could have just showed them my electric bill and been like I want that one lol. That would be almost rediculous. Things have changed now. It's still pretty easy to get a gun in america just not THAT easy.

Kodank, nice collection, I spent 22 years in the military been everywhere and shot everything...I say post away, but I do hear that if you get snagged with pot and weapons its a bad bad beef.

Well I'm a caregiver and my girlfriend is a medical patient. I don't usually carry pot and my pistol at the same time. And if pot must be carried it goes in her purse. Unless I leave my concealed at home. Then I usually do the carrying.

I don't really know what would happen if I had both on me and for some reason had to be searched. Seems it's legal and I'm legal to carry pot and a pistol...hmm.

Gonna have to ask a cop or a lawyer soon.

Greneade luanchers? Man why would anyone need that? I wonder what scenario would call for that. Hmmm.
If that mother fucker at mcdonalds ever shorts you a burger again DO NOT take matters into your own hands lol :)
I remember the first time I fired a gun. A small .22, I was so freagin scared. And then I became addicted!
Then I fired a 30\30 and that shit nearly blew my eardrums out!:| I couldn't hear right for the rest of the day:(
By far a .22 is the best gun for a begginer to shoot (little to no recoil) but the 30\30 was a bitch!
Also a .50 cal GI is fun to fire but the recoil can be painstaking especialy if its a desert eagle. I find that th GI version has a recoil more like a .40 and I'm lead to beieve its due to the quality parts they use that's considered standard to them. It cost close to 3k for the GI model, while
The Desert Eagle only runs maybe 1,500 hundred but they have like 1,500 hundred worth of upgrades and the GI barely has any upgrades since all of there part are top notch even though its there standard. I think the only upgrades they have is the finish and a red dot sight.
I want one so bad :)

Ya I don't think a grenade launcher is fit for anyone but military.

God forbid I'd ever have to go buy one then use it lol.

I'll gladly let you stand here on the internet and call me a pussy. I know I can fight and I have. I bought my concealed carry because I realized just because I can fight 1 or maybe 2 people at a time very well...fighting 3 or 4 people is a bad experience. Sadly I have fought 4 people. Alone. Me and no friends in the area. Just me. Did I mention they were drunk? Yes I won. If by winning you mean not hitting the ground/getting knocked out and knocking 2 out and causing the other 2 to run. I got fucked up I am not gonna lie. My nose was bleeding and my jaw and neck hurt for a week and I dislocated my thumb. Shit happens...sometimes shit happens and you buy a gun. End of story. I hope that moment never happens to you.

I really like that mauser. I love old weapons. Specially rifles. Some of the coolest pieces of history are old weapons.

Ya I wish I could afford a .50 lol. I think my .45 does well enough and it has plenty of recoil for me.

to each their own. i've had exactly the same experiences, and walked away in a little bit of pain but just dandy. and i'd do it again, it's a little bit of pain. as i say, man up. anyone can pull a fucking gun and think they own the situation.

i understand your love for guns, i love them myself, i'd love to have a nice gun to go out shooting with, but i would leave the country if they thought it was sensible to let anyone and everyone carry or own a handgun, it's just not sensible whatever you think.. violence begets violence or whatever the phrase is. you come up against 4 guys, not drunk, out for your wallet, they probably know, just somehow, by now that they should probably carry a gun incase the victim pulls one. enter lots of people getting shot.

to each their own but i think a gun heavy society is stupid and really totally illogical.

too true. nowadays in the US i suppose you've got nothing on your mind when getting into a random brawl over whether this guy will just pull a piece out. next thing you know the door will be opened with a gun in hand, just in case..

Shit let me find out if I can own a grenade launcher in P.A. for under 1,000 dollars and im grabbing that shit.
You'll here about me on the news with that shit lol

I want a Glock preferably another Glock 17 but they want to much for it.
I also recently talked to a church pastor around here and he said he can make me suppressors for 500 a piece,That's very tempting.

It is. But its the way the cookie crumbles sadly. I'd much rather shoot the 4 people trying to mug me while their shooting at me then just get shot. I am training with my weapon and becoming better and more comfortable and more accurate. I don't want to hit an innocent person or worse an innocent child. But when someone pulls a weapon or a few people are out looking to beat someone up...believe i'll try everything I can to not have to take a life. But while getting mugged im not gonna stop and go oh hey everyone can you back up please i need to fire my weapon. You get 2 warnings then I fire. That's it. No more...no less. If you wanna try me mother fucker and call my bluff you won't have a leg to stand on...literally I blow the fucking leg off. I'm never out to kill. I would always choose a leg wound or arm wound over the chest or head. No need to senselessly kill people because they think they can take my wallet. I have had to fight drunk people out of my own house because they thought it was there house. I have had a rough life and have tried hard to make almost no bad choices so I can own a weapon. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Ithaca 12 gauge, semi-auto. got it from a buddy who asked me to "hold it for him" while he was out of the country. he was supposed to be gone 6 months. he came back after a year and told me to keep it. he bought it brand new and shot it once, up into the air. it was a nice gun but it had a hair trigger. dangerously hair. upon further inspection i found part of the shell eject mechanism was cracked. i ended up pawning it for 75 dollars so i could buy my gf a christmas a present.

this was some 15 years ago. back when we had places to go kill things. i have since moved and don't really have anywhere to shoot. therefore i see no reason to own a semi auto 12 gauge. i certainly don't "need" one. the grocery store is open 24/7. :bigjoint:

(not my pic)

that was the story of one of the guns i have owned. i have many more. bongsmilie:eyesmoke:
