Man, I wish I had the budget to get one of their lights for my 4x4, but I'm pretty sure the only way I will be able to afford anything close to theirs lights will be to build my own. Does anyone know when they will be releasing some specs on the strip lights they are working on?
I asked Stephen and he said hopefully within the next year that's if corona virus doesn't get us first this was right before Wuhan got fully shut down so it was a bit ago someone might know where i posted it in the. 648 will prob be 2 qbs together and a little more bigger in width @Humple what i would think i looked at both pics and thought about that and it looks like it would be perfect for a 2x4 but i could be wrong who knows

Here buddy. Cheapest knock off I've found thus far. Lots of people here using them.

Ahh, they're calling it the QB648+, not the QB666. I'm very curious about the dimensions.
Looking at pics above, and taking into account that the diodes are 3mm it could very well be that they are about as wide as normal qbs and maybe a little bit longer. Running one of these at 120w youd be running each diode at less than nominal which is where the magic starts happening afaic. Very interesting

Yeah, I'm aware of those, but I've worked in the high end AV industry for 20 years where the Chinese have screwed over so many brands, so I would feel awful giving Meijiu or Kingbrite my business. I'd honestly prefer buying the Samsung strips and Meanwell drivers from DigiKey, or some other supplier, and just build my own. That way I can save money without supporting the theft of IP and trademarks.

I cant tell are the Sammy reds better than Osram reds I think they are but I could be wrong god I wish I didn't soke so much already
Osrams reds are better efficiency iirc, but not by a huge difference. Main performance booster is running the white diodes softer. Running this board as a qb,120w per, should give you less than .2w per diode which should result in approx 10% efficiency boost from .4w per diode.
