2 plants in my fridge, RDWC.
15 colas (broke one) and quite a few significant side branches.
I am 7 days into flower here and gonna have to be creative with some LST and Super Cropping to absorb the stretch !

First time posting photos so I'll apologize now if they don't show up, upside down, blurry....
Apical dominance intrigued me so I figured I'd break my normal training regimen and give mainlining a try on three plants. I chose an OG kush, and an all American diesel for how past grows had gone (little undergrowth, more concentrated on colas). I also added a bagseed seed, which I call general population (GP) for my journals. I rooted all the first cuts to sex them, but ended up pulling my dome too soon and lost them (but gained a lesson) so I ended up training a male (AAD). Here be some pics through the stages....

Another question on a different topic, but in regards to those pics....
The male (all American diesel) are some seeds I got from a Denver dispensary (I believe it's vault genetics, but I don't have the packaging with me right now) they were originally under a 400w MH, then when I found it was male, moved it and lessened the lights to CFLs. The question, is that bad internode spacing from the lower powered light change or the saliva traits (60%sat/40%ind)? If it is genetics, internode spacing is a genotype trait, correct? If it is, I may not want to use this pollen
Thanks in advance....

That's what I had gathered, wanted to make for sure.
I appreciate it.
I may still collect it just to have an experiment in storing it (never have stored it, but have been studying up on it. Doubt I'll use it but hey, another lesson
Thanks again

i think it would depend on the type and wattage of cfl's and the distance from the plant...cfl's have to be pretty close to be affective...before sexing and still under the 400w light, how was the node interspacing??? And if it was because of the genetics would that be guaranteed to be passed on?? Could another trait be passed on instead??

here is the top of my blue dream that I mainlined out for 4. My friend would like to try so I am giving him this plant. I am also giving him the trained top of my trainwreck but that is still growing so the training on the last set of nodes has yet to begin.

First time I tried this I had 8 tops of an unknown very dank indica. I pulled over 7 oz off one plant. Very very nice. Havnt done it again since because of the time line but I think this is how I'm going to start setting up my mothers from now on.

35 days from sprout!
Published by gr865 in the blog gr865's grow journal. Views: 1

Well I made it back from my little trip. Came back to good news and bad news.
I had my son care for my plants, had him here a number of times going over what to do and when. He has never grown before so this was all new to him.
He was to water with a pre made nute mix, and was to trim the plant back to node three when it reached the sixth node. He did that and it was all good. He was then to tie it down which did not goes as well. He broke them both and he panicked. He was supposed to wait for the the shoots to get 4 nodes and then cut them back to the one node. He did that after two days, was not near ready and it stunted to the extreme, plus he continued feeding with the same nute solution, I am not sure it hurt them but did not aid in the stunting.
He did trim and used the first cuts as the mothers and they are both doing well.
I think all will be good when they recover. He feels like shit, I just told him to wait to get into my stash till after he finishes the work. bongsmilie

Prior to cut day 21

Exodus Cheese cut for 4

Exodus Cheese opposite end

White Rhino cut for 4

All will be ok,

lol, you know he knows about that shit you keep in the sock drawer so hide your stash better!

overall good apprentice - probably too busy playing COD or Madden

Hell, he is 46, and I never hide my stash. In qt. jars stacked in my closet, don't mind him getting into it but he will be a bit more educated by next week when I go out of town for another week. He will do better, and should only have to water/nute which will be pre made for him.
Looking at the plants today the already look better, and I can't believe I am seeing trichs on the leaves of both plants already. Now that is too cool.
