Wow man, your room is beautiful! I just built my own room similar to this but I have to say yours looks much more professionally done, do you do this kind of thing for a living? I ran into car trouble recently so I'll have to wait for my next harvest to come in before my room can look near as good as yours. Wonderful job, hope to see a harvest from this bad boy!

the room i built dosent destroy anything in the rental its in...it has 1 nail that goes into a wall that was put up for the purpose of nailing/screwing stuff to it. its in a basement and the landlord knows and ok's fastening to the wall (its a unfinished basement and no sheetrock was harmed.

but i basically just built a stand alone room. the purpose of the 1 nail was to hold the wall up while i put another one together, its all nailed to itself.

the issue isnt really damaging properties by using fasteners its not getting permision and using excessive fasteners, most landlords dont mind the use of an occasional tack or screw to hold up pictures and what not but people need to

1: make sure its of with the landlord
2: be efficient....not put 10 holes in a wall looking for a stud..
3: clean up....spackle and repair any damage you do..

the biggest issue is people just leave the apt with all the holes..it takes a matter of 10 min to repair 100 holes...people are lazy.

i understand your take on the subject and i agree with you 100% if you use your head you can devise a way to build a good room with minimal to no damage done to the rental.....but people dont care...they cut holes in walls to exaust they nail the hell out of walls because they are too lazy or cheap to buy a stud finder or measure (16ft on center is how most walls are built) and when they do damage they dont repair.

anyways im not trying to knock your idea off 0 damage because its a great idea, im simply saying if people do decide to use a fastener (nail/screw) then when you take it down repair the damage...its not hard...and if you can find a way to not use that nail or screw then do it..

and a good example would be...

say i want to build a room inside a room....instead of putting it in the corner and using pre existing walls as some of your walls, build your own 4 walls, a 4 wall room will stand alone with little to no fasteners...

EXELLENT REMARKS MATTHEBRUTE!!!!! AND THANKS FOR YOUR IMPUT ON THIS MAN!!
Now we just need to get the rest of the growing movement on board with this, and mabey landlords won't cringe (as much) with the idea of one of us moving in and doing our thing.
There are a growing number of landowners and landlords out there interested in the med movement, Alot of these people are already to ill to grow there own meds and are buying from dispensrys and pot clubs, providers. This is an avenue and asset to us as growers, expecially in states like Or.
Oregon allows med mj, they do not allow the provider to profit over cost of grow, ever. A portion of ones rent can be traded for the grow space and cost. This can be done by reducing the rent, for the tenent/provider.
A person has to shop for this landlord, but they are out there. And more and more, getting on board with the idea everyday!
It will improve our situations as growers if we can do this and not have to worry about the landlord finding out, baby steps, I guess.
peace the melungeonman!

Lots of people on another thread has asked, "What is that in your pictures?"
Anybody care to take a stab at it? rep to whomever can tell me what this is!
Old school growers like this old fart shouldn't have any problem with this riddle.
Good luck !!!! The melungeonman!

mantis hatched 3 21 13.jpgmantis hatch3.jpg
Here they are 3 weeks later.
I gathered these from my grow last fall. I let them reproduce in my rooms. I've kept the pods in my refrigerator in shreded newspaper.
Lately I have had a fungus nat issue so I am hatching some mantis. In a few days I will see a compleate decline in flys. These will kill a black widow the size of a dime when they get larger. They leave behind just the fangs and head. They love thrips, spider mites, aphids, just about anything crawling, these little bitches will decimate. They are already voracious and will be feeding on themselfs if I don't get them fed soon.

verry nice man, i have thought about ordering some mantids online and hatching a clutch but have yet to do so. they will ultimatly eat thier brothers and sisters if not given a proper meal....im not sure if crickets are a herbivore and will eat your plants but im sure the mantids will dine on them rather quickly.

Woke up this morning ,, Man they are everywhere in here!!!:bigjoint:
Mantis on the tops of plants, mantis on the walls, mantis in the planters.
Pretty cool, saw what I had left in the bottle had begun sparring with each other so,I turned the rest loose. They are hungry, they all had a snack within seconds of jumping from the lip of the jar. Building a nesting area today, I'll probably use a large plastic insect bubble, and periodicly put it in the keg-rator overnight, with a few larger ones in it. In the morning when the lights come on you remove it and put it one the floor. make sure to put a little dry soil, and straw at the bottom of the habitat if you do this, also you might have to jack the temp up as well. There are varieties that thrive in jungle situations. They exist on most of the planet. "The Melungeonman"
