The $425.00 transition from mylar to solid wall growroom.

Well heres the photos of what I was describing above. Note that these floating walls are very sturdy, Not one screw or nail holds them up, they are wedged in with wood wedges. Also lights are bieng hung utilizing pre- existing florencent hardware, I simply backed out the screws and replaced them with eye hooks. In photo showing the sturdiness of this sort of construction I have actually mounted a bakers rack shelf, to place my magnetic ballasts on. They weigh about 80 pds together. Another 9 pounds for the inline. This wall I've bumped, hit, fell into, and it goes nowhere. The door jam holds the other half of the wall up because its been doubled to 2x4, this with 2 wedges holds the small peice in next to the door. This was built this way for two reasons. One this is a rental, and I wanted to drive no nails or screws into the garage walls. Also these wedges can be tapped out and walls moved into a uhaul trailer with the grow for a 20 min evacuation, I simply back the uhaul into the garage stick the walls in, tie them up load the plants in and move it to a secure location.
I do have a ommp card but like most landlords they don't want their property used as a grow house. So what I can engineer to hide I will. Also because of my proximity of my washer and dryer I am able to expell hot air out the duct. I have fit this vent with a Y and a good carbon filter so all air be expelled is scrubbed, under the dryer vent I have planted basil, hot air makes this area smell very Italian.
I have also placed a board in an open window, cut a 6 in hole and added venting. on the outside of the board i tacked a curtain to cover the board. this way the widow from the outside appears to just be just a curtained window. on the little garage windows i did the same using an old black out curtain tacked th=o the small window boards, this makes a reflective appearence of a dark garage. You can cup your hands and look through these windows and think you are just looking int a dark garage. A squirill cage blows outside air through a anti fungus/bug screening filter. into the grow area. This pressurises the room pushing old stale air out a passive vent into the unused area in the garage. The hurricane inline picks this up and cools the lights with it, and eventually evacuates it out the dryer vent.
well I sure hope these tips help you in improving your room. Once again this cost minus the 2 1000 watt yeild masters cost $425.00
for all blowers wall fans squirril cage venting building materials for walls as well as table I even had $230 left over to add the t5 unit , yes this is included in the cost. so have fun good luck and peace

Love the look of it. Sorry if you already said but are you flowering in this room or is this just your veg? Having the T5's threw me off thinking it was a flowering room. Also at first i thought the wooden wedges to keep the walls up was really risky but i do like the idea of a quick tear down.

As I get re-established in Or .This side of the garage is the veg clone room, On the other side of the wall is the potting room for now. I also have my off line computer with my Herb Iq running the tracking, As these first clones come off this table I will pick my favorite fem from the group of mothers and the table and relocate to the other side. The other side will have two 600 watt yeild masters on a light bar and the grow table and t5s. This will become the new veg area. The lamps in the room now are 2 1000 watt switchable I have eye hortilux enhanced blue mh, in now. I will switch them out for eye hortilux hps when I bloom. Iv'e just got restarted so everything is not hung yet. Including the pannelling on the otherside of the floating wall, By The way I have purchased a light bar 4.5 hpm trolly motor that rides in the same type track as what my garage geni uses. I Am Incorperating the track for the chain pully for my light bar. Once again using pre- hung garage hardware, I unplugged the garage geni and put a paddle lock in the track so it cant even be pryed up. The Wooden wedges if use properly as well as the doubled door jam and header against the ceiling keeps the wall VERY sturdy.v'e put some shoulder against it testing it's durability. It is so tightly fit It hardly needed the wedges.
The whole 10 ft sect only went #80 pnds with the sheet pannels on it. I layed it out on the garage floor, framed it, with 2x2 furring strips, sheeted it, cut my holes painted it and stood it. I tapped it in plummed the walls and put in my wedges just to be shure. Anyway pretty easy and didn't cost much.
I actually got 2 growing areas, out of the deal the soon to be bloom room pictured,and the soon to become, veg clone and mother room on the other side of it.

Love customized rooms, good job. I build rooms inside of rooms, to not only help with avoiding damage to home but for more security and stealth. I have been designing new rooms to replace my old ones, I have a similar idea in being able to break down the room for an emergency move, even though I own now. But I am also working on false walls and other room tricks. Always cool to see someone's design and ideas. In a rental situation you have a real winner design.

Yes sir. Thats the Melungeon Magic, My Flag ship. Was my dads strain back in the early days. I've kept it a going. The clones will be ready to give away in the lincoln City, newport Oregon area in march. Gonna get it out there by gum,View attachment 2535960 the other strain I developed is the B.O.M.B. well man its looks great stop by my thread and check it out im going to be changing rooms sooner than expected and im using your idea for the walls too but my thread is a jumbled mess at the moment but recon is my strain that iv been running for about 4 yrs now iv tried a few other strains but nothin matches up... i used to live up in portland years ago im back home in sunny central california

High everyone. Well update time, little clones doing fine, transplants starting. This week we are "EXPANDING", The $425 dollar grow room. I'm utilizing the other half of the garage. previosly,the area was my potting room and computer area. I use and old piece of crap to run my "herb iq" tracking software, (also found here on the forum , by lucifer x, check this out if you folks havn't allready.) Anyway this area will become a jumbo bloom room. I have ordered 2 more, 1000 watt sun system yield master 2 lamps. and a co2 gen, (natural gas.) The first side I built will be exclusivelly used for veg and clones/mothers I will be using 2 sun system xxxl hoods and 1000 watt digitals. pictures to come later today as construction and set up begins.

Nice grow but it's a rental?

Check your rental lease. Landlords can come in anytime without your permission. I would take the extra steps to add more deadbolts and the open window is just begging to be accessed. Be careful when it's not your property.

Yes we have taken special precautions, such as trade rent for bud etc. When renting this we where up front with our landlord about my condition and meds. He holds a card as well. We rented through craigslist and ran an ad for a perspective landlord here in Or. Also We re-keyed the doors and added an alarm system, much to the approval of the landlord and his property insurance. Monitors smoke and fire as well. Next I own a Newfoundland who is well trained , she keeps an additional eye on the property. Whats important is being up front if you can. If you can't well thats something that alot of people have to weigh out when they chose to grow. How attentive will your landlord be. Good remark!!!! prosperian.

This Type of set up is built to be removed quick, the walls are removable by dislodging the wedges. They can be carried off in 4 foot sections. The Idea "originated" from my need to move, and hide it, when I grew in a less than legal state. I can, In fact open the garage door and back a uhaul in, then in the privacy of my garage, load the pannels lights and plants. Then compleatly remove the grow from the property. "Or not". I've just set the trailer aside, and told the landlord. 'I was in the process of moving exess stuff to my storage unit.' This is so easy, just put a couple florecent battery operated camping lights in there.Good to go!
