got my T12s today. the set up is temporary, just for starting seedlings and shit. I will have a 600 within the next few weeks, and when temps outside drop I will reconfigure and flower that monster.

be careful thinking the mites are gone, I just spotted a couple after that last post. I may try some Neem oil this time around... we'll see.

those seedlings def have that hybrid vigor! :blsmoke:
I'm not worried about spraying during flower, they say that mainly because of mold issues but I'm not spraying at night so I'm not worried about it and I dont have to worry about burn issues because It doesnt get that hot under there. I spray them all the time during the day and never see any problems. I use some stuff specially for mites and I will be fogging this week using pyrethrum, I will use a can once every 3 days (3 cans total) and this should take care of it care of it, I will also continue to spray just as a precaution.

And where did you pick those t12 up at?

Wally World. Fixture was 14.00, 2 Daylight bulbs for 10.00.

what are the lumens on those? I looked at some of those a couple of weeks ago at walmart and it seemed that the lumen output was very low; could be wrong though. They have a T5 at AB for $29 (or even cheaper online), includes fixture and bulb. Not sure if they are the HO or not but if they are you are looking at 5000 lumens just with one 2 foot T5 not to mention and optimal spectrum .

Just a thought.

it's on the low side at only 3200 lumens but I'm only going to be using it to start my tomatoes under, along with some citrus basil. I will also use it for clone rooting, before moving them on to a separate cab.

sure you didn't get the T8's?? Those were the ones I picked up at wally world for same price... It is a steal either way.. you don't need crazy lumens during that life stage.. I grew 3 foot mommas under 4 ft. to send outdoors this year.

Good find bro.. My understanding between t12, t8, and t5 are that they get smaller in diameter and thus are able to produce more intense light. ((CFL= spiraled t5 tube)) I wanna say t8's put off around 3400 lumens under the same Kelvin rating... Either way that will do the job for mommas and clones no problem...super easy to raise an entire light bar than trying to adjust individual CFL's, I think you get better light coverage with the tubes too...either way, props

Well I did hear about this guy who happened to lose his outdoor crop. Apparently someone robbed a gas station in the vicinity, and fled through the wooded area where they were located. The eye in the sky spotted them while looking for the suspect. From what I've heard, this guy has had some heat on him due to a nosy neighbor with a big mouth. Hopefully everything will cool off, and the aforementioned guy can set up shop again (but not where he's at now.)
