hopefully i`m going to get my tent up tomorrow. trying to figure out what to run for the maiden voyage of it. im thinking some freebies, just in case i have a tragedy of some sort with the new diggs. i have got some good ones.

some lower leaves getting light green and like 2 sets of leaves have some tip burning. Feeding at 1450ppm with a splash of calmag at 6.8 to 7.0 PH. Ive been varying it. Wondering if I shouldnt push above 7.0.

i would wait and see, its normal for the lowers to die off. they are not getting much light and the flowers are taking up all the energy. how long did you veg them? i`m just wondering, they had a big stretch to them.

i like the way she growing, if you were to veg it for 5-6 weeks it would be huge.

Do you think I should veg longer when I go to 5 gallon pots?

it`ll be a bit more work but it would pay off in the end. if this is going to be one you run a few times i would experiment with the veg times, then you`ll find that happy medium. raise your veg time maybe 7days at a time.
look at what you have now and try and figure away to fill that screen. this pic is not mine but its going to give you a good view of how to fill it. first you see that most of the screen is filled. then the defoliation that was done underneath. then how they have woven the branches thru the screen. the goal here now that you know how you want to grow, is maximize as best you can. think what it would look like if you had added 1 week of veg and 2 toppings. its all about planing ahead, its hard to have a goal without a plan.

I need to weave the stems in the screen next time. I've just been tucking them under. Mainlining is a possibility too. I do need to top a second time as well.

true! you can still push it under, the objective is to get as many bud sites into the light as you can. you may not gain a ton more, you may not gain anymore but you shouldn`t lose any.
put your shades on and just kinda study the plants structure and try what you think would help to fill that screen.

Getting ready to start my clones. Do i need to run 24 hour lights or 18/6? I know im supposed to use mild nutes at 150ppm but what PH? Also I see alot of people cutting the leaves in half when they clone. is this necessary?

i like 18/6 but either is fine. the ph should be 5.5-5.8. cutting the leaves i haven`t seen as to where it helps or hurts. the reason some do it is that as the clone as it starts to root will push all its energy in to root production instead of leaf repair. there's no voodoo here, i mean i have cloned with ph`ed tap water and had great success. now i do make a steep angle cut(side) at the bottom of the stem, then at that little point sticking down i split it up to the top of the angle(front) . i also use a root stimulate of some sort, no particular brand, yep even the stuff from walmart will work.

Gonna start em tomorrow. It's been 4 weeks since I took them. Read somewhere that they should last 3 in the fridge. They still look good and crisp. I've got 3 to 4 weeks of flower left so I should have enough time to root and grow a few out then pick one keeper to throw in the big room.

took the morning and got my clones going. 4 look good and one was turning purple. Im going to try it anyhow.

looking good. looks like they kept real well in the fridge. the spray from the air pump is going to cause the humidity to go up and you may not need the top. watch the leaves for excessive water build up and drooping caused by the water. other than that you see numbs on those stems soon enough. glad to see you try the cutting the ends off of some and not on others, i don`t if you done it was out of necessity or to see which works better. either way you can see which works best.

The lid on this cloner seals pretty good but I'll keep an eye on the RH

its not about how it seals. with all the water action going on under the lid, it can create a very humid area.
oh yeah i was going to ask how that air rig worked out. i liked the look of that tubing.

came home to this last night. Nute burn? Used 150ppm. Thought maybe it was the dome so I ditched that. I havent checked em yet today.

try just a root stimulant and ph`ed water.
