Before it was bulldozed, paved and made safe for Dell laptop assembly plants and OSRAM LED factories, I lived on the island of Penang, it was a tropical paradise with amazingly friendly people who no doubt only exist in my memories now.

Very sad, even if it is 'progress'.
i understand tbe grub there is mind bending!

This fixture is sold as 3x2 because it as 6 modules (3x2), not that they claim a full coverage over a 3'x2' area?
Will you be using this in the cup?
YES......................too hot here to add more wattage to the room, Hans 65w was my initial thought but then I lost a girl in the 30 pot==== good space for the cup imo :)

Didn't even jerk off today, was not productive................update time

Round 2 Day 14 of 12/12 from seed under Osram's "blurple sun" == with my 3 NL bitches

001.JPG002.JPG 003.JPG 004.JPG ...............just cruising along, no signs of slowing down or hunger yet. Planted my last white label nl seed in the party cup with my 30gal soil mix, completely dried up in less than 18hrs, found it all withered up this morning, this is some fucked up pattern I've got going on. I may have to rethink the mix, waaay to airy.

005.JPG ..............soooooo boring, hurry up bitches. vaping the crap from last round!.....lol

be safe and happy growing RIU

Maybe your mix is fine for filling pots, just not the ideal germination media?

What exactly is this "mix"?
Are you using that vegan dry fert in the soil and going water only from there out?

255w over what area?............have you run a harvest cycle with them yet?

Hans's test grower has ended his run of NW/DR vs B/R/NW/DR grow off

http://www.ledgrow.eu/QP.html hans was wrong about his standard panels producing 25% more product than NW/DR, seems pretty close to me......maybe........ final #s incoming

Hello PSUAGRO

The 255 watts covers aerotop 60 platinum system with 2 T5s (cloning to full plant t5 for cloning part now)

Fans, zelion light and 2 humidifiers..... Here in Colorado I have a hard time making humidity

Last night I had the blue light only on with the zelion HL and the t5s were 1.5 meters away for the aero system. The plants stayed pointing towards the blue only zelion and grew almost an inch in last 12 hrs.
They were on 1000MH Apollo system before the switch to the Oslon Osram Zelion HL fixture (100watts) http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=281533420998&globalID=EBAY-US

Just got the Zelion HL so haven't harvested.

whole foods and a couple of nurseries around us , close to my work.

What don't you like about the mix?........
I wanted to like it.

I met the main guy a couple times at Eco type functions and he seemed genuine (entrpreneur). I used it to pot up other woody garden plants, slower growing plants and it was fine. But when I used on MJ i couldnt get it to fire. Plants were slow and I couldn't figure out nutritional issues.

I switched to pro mix, castings, minerals. Ive got that working pretty good

It could most def be me and not the mix. One other thing that threw me about the brand is...i gave a call one time to ask about their castings, sold at WFM, I wanted to know freshness and analysis. I dont remember if he had an analysis but he told me the castings would be no more than 6 mos to a year old. I know stored castings arent bad but also not prime.

Yeah I dump vegan ferts in it. It's mostly coir and I treat as such. Very low npk straight out of the bag.

Not that I've gotten great results with it either so far...... lol

About to lay to rest my party cup entrant.............lol, update time

Round 2 DAY 21 of 12/12 from seed under Osram's "non phosphor conversion" fixture(125w)== with my 3 NL bitches
004.JPG 005.JPG 006.JPG 008.JPG .............nothing to complain about. Slight smell coming from the girls, pre-flowers should be any day now.

007.JPG ........their starting to get hungry. I use Multipass's method to feed dry vegan/organic ferts== Run it through a cheap blade-style coffee grinder (1min/turns into fine grey powder) and put it into the watering container. Add a small amount of water swirl it around to mix and fill it up and apply directly to the root zone. 2 ground capfulls per 2 gallons of water is usually enough in this setup/run............maybe, first time doing it for a 30gal.:eyesmoke:

009.JPG ............keeping the osram panel faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away from the canopy this round, bleaching be damned.

be safe and happy growing RIU

Greenhouses at Pennsylvania State University Get LED Lighting Upgrade from Illumitex
on August 19, 2015 in LED biomedical applications

Illumitex of Austin, Texas USA, reports that it has partnered with Pennsylvania State University. The company says that it has supplied more than 400 of its Eclipse ES2 LED grow lights that the university’s College of Agricultural Sciences is using in multiple greenhouses.

Illumitex points out that plant science researchers will be able to conduct precise experiments under ideal light conditions year ‘round. Additionally, students in courses with greenhouse culture components will be able to add growing plants under LED-based crop lighting to their horticultural skill set.

Scott DiLoreto, greenhouse manager for the College of Agricultural Sciences, said, “We installed LED fixtures in several densities. In some greenhouses, we are providing sufficient supplemental illumination to grow ornamentals and vegetables well through the dark winter months. In other houses, we installed higher density fixtures to really push the growth of high-light research crops, such as beans, corn and rice.”

For a few years, Penn State had a single small installation of Illumitex LED lighting. The installation demonstrated the efficacy and benefits of employing LED technology in greenhouses. Based on the results of the first installation, DiLoreto knew he wanted to replace their HID lighting with LED technology when a major crop-lighting upgrade was needed.

“In addition to the energy savings associated with LED lighting, we needed a linear ‘strip’ style LED to provide uniform illumination over growing surfaces. Our greenhouses have relatively low gable heights, and it was very difficult to provide uniform illumination with HID lighting — there were hot spots and cold spots,” said DiLoreto. “The ES2 strips provide the uniform illumination we are looking for.”

Paul Gray, VP of Horticulture Lighting Solutions and Senior Horticulture Scientist commented, “It’s truly gratifying to know our lights will help shape the minds of future horticulturists.”

Oh yeah Paulie Gee, ya shapin' minds alright :eyesmoke:. At least mine.
