Wow...day 51 of 12/12....Scant flower development...Hope they pack it on in the next 3 and 1/2 weeks...

Re the vertical grow.. Ops before HPS did shelving like that with flouros that were VERY productive use of space..Big rows of 12inch x 8 ft SOG's 4-5 layers high.
At times like this, I wish I was incorrect about my hypothesis, but I think this is just the nature of too high R:FR ratio and thus too high %Pfr in flowering.

Edit: I guess it is also from seed. MIssed that part.

Impressive grow op. It's only 'vertical' because they stack it like shelving, not my idea of true vertical growing. I wonder how these LEDs compare to white COB tech?
I would definitely consider that OP a vertical farm, don't see how you would use that space more efficiently?.................top-bin cobs are about to hit 2gpw without a light mover from skilled growers, cxb and next generation will make it consistent imo. Only a handful did it with monos over the last 5 + yrs.

IDK what's wrong, mechanical timer is good? i think, no light leaks, no dim leds............. maybe some thai influences showing??? my luck, lol.

I have lowered the light schedule to 11/13 , will go down to 10/14 for last ditch effort. As soon as I lost my best kids to balls this became a trial run for me. Next round I will give it a go with fems and have the time for proper maturity.

12/12 from seed still has a "veg" period, no way around that..............usually 20-30 days till sex is shown, faster under optimal.

times like these has me wanting some 730nm love............

Finally a day off.............................................update time

Day 59 of 12/12 from seed(8 days @ 11/13) under Osram's "who's McCree?" fixture :mrgreen: (125w) == with my 2 NL bitches

001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG 004.JPG ..............possibly the slowest NL girls ever. The slight clawing didn't go away when temps improved, so I raised the fixture to 29 inches from soil level. Not much I can do at this point to improve the results in this fast run. Amended 2.5lbs of vegan mix and just de-chlorinated water seems to be holding up under this R/B spec; should go the distance without a hick-up............or not.

005.JPG 006.JPG 007.JPG .................slow pokes, probably make some baked goods out of them.....

008.JPG 009.JPG ...........I'm ready for the beach, two weeks to go and I'm outta here. Might toss the timer in the trash too:P

be safe and happy growing RIU.

Just woke up from a nap, was nice..............needed it:eyesmoke:

DAY 66 of 12/12 from seed(15 days @ 11/13) Under Osram's " no white for you!" fixture(125w)== with my 2 NL bitches

001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG 004.JPG left them alone for a couple of days and bleached some of the tops, lesson learned. Strange that the symptoms came so late in flower, they where touching the lenses 2 weeks ago for christ sakes, IDK. Raised it up another couple of inches and will finish this run up in a week & 1/2ish. The output is definitely high as I have found a total of 3 dropped leaves from under canopy light deprivation, that's it.

005.JPG 006.JPG 008.JPG ...............white is not right in this scenario.......lol. Lowering the light schedule to 10/14 today and rolling with it till chop .

007.JPG 009.JPG ....well it's coming to an end soon for this half-assed run, next/ final Osram V1 test will be with white label NL fems from @Midweek Song (awesome customer service, will see if the seeds make it to the east coast) and better canopy management. Gonna give a dose of TJ's organic agave nectar for their final watering.......

be safe and happy growing RIU

I"m out the door for my much needed vaca..................final update/chop day

DAY 75 of 12/12(15days @ 11/13, final 9 days @ 10/14) from seed under Osram's " 500-600nm hater" led fixture(125watts)== with my 2 NL bitches

002.JPG 003.JPG 004.JPG 005.JPG ...............hate to see living things die before their time:), don't worry they won't go to waste. The Down To Earth vegan mix/LOS really is effective and it doesn't get much simpler IMO. Have to get some more for next round.......Should still be enough in the medium for veg, will see.

006.JPG 007.JPG 008.JPG ........definitely did some damage on the tops, could have been a decent yield too............... maybe......lol

010.JPG 011.JPG ...meter went in "european mode" after the crazy storms last week, really contemplating modding a battery onto it, POS. Hoping they won't be too dry after a 2 week hang, trimming will be sooooooo much fucking fun.

001.JPG @Midweek Song came through in only 8 days from ordering to the US east coast, above average stealth and 20% off for riu members makes the pricing affordable. Stayed up till 12:30 am (UK time) to load in the site the only pack of white label NL fems available........really appreciated!

That's it for this round, I'm heading back HOME...........It's gonna be a long ride with a bitchy GF

I'll keep in touch with my phone as always.............play nice!

be safe and happy growing RIU

Good luck on that drive bub. Enjoy the break from the work week while you can! I'll be right there with you in a couple days, lady will be bitching the whole ride but ima try and knock it out without stopping.

It'd be kickass if we were going to the same place. Not that I wanna hear "spending our honeymoon meeting one of my boyfriends" but that'd be a kickass day. Take care dude and be safe

was a nice vaca, no sharks in sight..............sent my GF in the water first each time anyways

Had to google my thread to find the damn thing.

So we begin round 2 and final run of Osram's horti led fixture (125w) V1.......then it goes back to it's rightful owner

002.JPG 003.JPG

Everything is the same as the first round except genetics, I will be going with 4 white label NL fems this time, saving one seed for the party cup comp. No idea where I'm gonna stuff it at?lol. Bought some more Down To Earth vegan mix locally for around $15 for 6 pounds, not bad. Won't top dress until further along, wanna see what the kids show me first.

001.JPG thanks again to @Midweek Song for helping me out to get this specific breeder. I'm a big fan of sensi seeds since I started smoking/growing cannabis.

004.JPG the seeds have soaked for 24hrs and where placed in the medium, once they head north we start this shit. 24/0 till they all germinate or not:wink: , 12/12 the rest of the way

CO2 ppm/rh/temp meter is still fucked, I'll get to it at some point..

be safe and happy growing RIU

Duuuuude. Do you really want to hammer your little tiny plants with a 24/0 blurple session? Don't you think you'll stress them out a bit and maybe even increase males? I know your all full steam ahead with certain plants but don't you think with the limited spectrum and massive peaks, those little fuckers may not embrace the light as soon as you like, that you'll need some kind of period for the plant to adapt to the grow environment you're offering. IDK I'll always bow to your real world plant know-how but as a blurple loyalist I gotta question ya on your plans here. Too much too soon in my book but that's just little ole' me's opinion :).

Best of Luck with this round PSU. And Please Be Safe!

didn't even trim it, de-stemmed and threw them in the freezer for the cure............ It will be weak sauce, very underdeveloped buds friend. Baked goods and vape the "best shit" when desperate:P

any grasshopper news??
Weak sauce brother. Hopefully will be better next round. No updates on the grasshopper. Still showing my estimate delivery for August...hopefully no more delays.

don't want stretch out of the gate, 24/0 only for a couple of days max until they all pop, straight too 12/12 right after. Check round 1:)

I always try to be safe brother.......same to you

....thanks a lot for sharing bro ... i saw great buds with oslons too... ...remember la 22 of Ventolin ...i have some pics on my thread... ;)

...i rescue some old data from la 22 of Ventolin... of course now there are better bins on red and blues... and on whites too... but there are lot of better cobs... to substitute the white of oslons too...for my pov... ;) ...

...and better drivers too...:P

1 x Disipador aluminio 150 x 27 x 1000

3 x Mean Well APC-35-700 ...seems to me... one for 660..other for 630 and other for blue and white.... i would prefer separate for colors for better color control and all dimmables off course...;)

19 x Led olson 630

19 x Led olson 660

10 x Led olson 450

3 x Led olson 6500

...they use the reds oslons on 1:1 on her DIY...;) ...the numbers of whites and blues and the kelvin of whites...maybe change on the final version too... seems to me minus 1 blue and add 5000 k... i dont remeber well...:weed:

...take care and stay safe bro...

...i know you prefer test comercial lamps too... off course...

pd... Thanks Wilson... ...sorry bros... i edit with the numbers and type for leds on lamp...my bad memory...sorry

:peace:

To me, it makes sense to germinate under a very high R:FR ratio like a blurple panel (as long as the leds aren't shit).
My favorite veg panel was an Illumitex F1 based one but it was always slow out of the gate in terms of germ/seedling stage. Wonderful, strong growth once the plant matured, though it tended to cause stretch when training. I was just using some F3s recently in the veg cab for small plants and clones and turned them off because the plants looked like shit, (might of been tooo intense for the space??), and now have everything under some 4000K COBs which seem to work well in my grow room except the COBs stretch my Goji OG to shit and I will be adding some F1s to see if it's an intensity thing or just how Goji reacts to an environment where there's quite a bit of green. I don't think it's a heat thing causing the stretch because it was doing this at 76-78 temps too.

So in other words, from what I see from my little perch, that with light quality, (nm), tied to environment and strain, (as well as efficiency and intensity), there is no general "best", just what's best for the grower in their environment and the strain or type of plant they are growing at that moment/stage of the plant's life. At least that's how I'm calling it this week :) but would think R/FR/Green heavy light would be a great germ light. Basically that's what's on the floor beneath the canopy, right?

Hey P, why would 18/6 cause stretch out of the gate if the plants are getting enough light???? I do 12/1 with clones 3 feet from the source and get good to great node interspace. IDK, I'm not trying to be argumentative, even though I have seemed to ended up here again :), I'm just a confused, under-educated, (and highly a-medicated) stoner who digs tech so pardon my ignorance.

Oslons are SDS's favorite single diodes , and guod too............tiny bastards, still can't believe they would solder these things without stars............New generation of DIY's have it so easy with COB's.

yeah, agreed.............can't find the study anymore where it showed that pure 660nm had the highest germ rate/largest root mass? I could easily be wrong

Lol I had better results with apolo chinese light?
I hope so! was a terrible first round............thank God I don't do this for a living:eyesmoke:

It's called Lazyness friend..................Timer is on straight power 24/0, when ready, flip over the switch to 12/12, no messing with those tiny fucking notches.

probably no difference with 18/6, six hrs of darkness shouldn't do much imo
