i would really love to know how to reuse this mix!!!
can i pull the roots out, and then start a newly vegged plant ready to flower in the same mix.
i am sure it would have to be re formulated with some or all of the dry mixes. but how much?, i have never done organics.
or am i wrong for thinking this way?

i have more question about this, if anyone can help that would be great. thanks

can i change the fertilizer as long as its in the same quantity and within the same npk ratio's. in example, if i used fox farms bone meal and bulb food at 2 kilo's each, i end up with an npk that similar but higher in potash. is this cool?

would it make a difference if i used a 2 gallon pot instead,

thats not so much a big deal, a 2 gallon pot should last about 2-4 days with a heavy soil mix

anyone with any clue as to whether it is ok to reuse this mix and how to do it!!. PLEASE!!!!

:)

Mike I am sure you can but we got varied results and now we just compost our used soil and use in our gardens and yards. It also passes on pathogens we might not want to.

Sub,

So what does your feeding schedule look like? I read the article you posted but I couldn't discern if you should feed or not feed with your super soil.

And is it true that the longer a plant vegetates, the higher the quality of the final product?
no sir. not nessisarily

This is yet one more Soil Mixing tutorial. This one is going to focus on making a batch in the city while keeping it neat and tidy. First we use a tarp and a sheet of plywood under so the shovel will slide easily as we mix and scoop.

Here is the recipe to make this concentrate!
You cannot grow plants directly in this super concentrate!

6 Bags Roots soil or equivalent high quality supped up grow soil
Note**I am trying a new product made by a local company that contains less fir bark called Harvest Moon
25 pounds Pure Worm Castings
½ cup Azomite trace minerals
2/3 Cup Sweet Lime IE Dolomite
1 Kilo Bone meal / IE 5 Pounds
1 Kilo Blood meal ( I use a bit more bone than Blood in this recipe)
1 Kilo Bat Guano bloom formula preferably Fruit bats
3/4 cup Epson Salts
The Perlite and Coco I happen to have and it will make a better mix but it is not necessary.

First we take the tarp and the Lucky rug and lift the edges to form a 2 sided pan.
So now we put on the muck boots these help me kick the soil around and get it mixed up well.

So lets make a nice pile of Roots soil.
We layer the ingredients so they can be mixed well.

Contuing to build my montain behind the fence I built just for stuff like this

i was wondering... im using ... happy frog potting soil.. its all my local hydroponics store had... i was wondering where can i find... Azomite trace minerals.. Sweet Lime IE Dolomite.. ive have been letting my soil brew for about 2 weeks now... is it too late to find these ingredients... or will it be alright... thanks for everything...

few..

I did not say it would not work outdoors. I am an indoor grower and that is what I teach. I am sure this mix would do great outside but ants would love it and I simply dont have the data to pass on. I have grown a plant outdoors in a container and it did extremely well.
I have 3 decades of indoor experience and like 2 outdoor harvest I simply am not in the know :)

Hey Sub,

Had a question, I have been using your super soil for a while now with amazing results.

My question is, I am currently setting up a 4' x 4' x 12"(h) bed for soil rather than using pots to allow for better root growth and therefore better plants.

How would you recommend mixing the soil to fill this space and allow for adequate use of the nutrients?

I was thinking that either I could use the layering method with four inches being super soil and the other 8 being the base soil.

or taking that same ratio and simply mixing it all up so that nutrients were spread around the entire bed in a way.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Keep up the great work.

In beds the roots will go to the bottom and shoot across the bed floor and form an interlocking web of roots. I think I would go with super soil mixed into some base soil in this case and heavier top dressing about day 25-30 of bud to make up for any lack of nutrients :)

Thank you very much Sub.

I will do that and let you know how it goes.

EDIT: So I was just wondering, do you think a mixture of 1 parts super soil 2 parts base would be too much??

If so what would you recommend?

Again I appreciate your knowledge bro. Keep up the great work

Btw, I loved your book.

Tomatoes love the used soil but it will fry damn near anything else even if you till it in deep.
It fried my squash, celery and pretty much everything else. We had Huge maters though!!
