Besides internet forums, who do you think has the best, most current information on growing; books, vids, etc? Not just soil grows either, but organic hydro as well, if you happen to know? Is Rosenthal reliable? Cervantes?
Book media is soon to be a thing of the past unfortunately. Real time info is only online these days
cervantes would be a better choice than Ed for sure.

IMO there is no better source than the following

TGA Online Growguide Never, i mean , Never buy another growbook again!! learn all you need to grow Dank!.

That forum took almost 4 years to complete :)

Have you ever tried using something like 1 part super soil and 2 parts potting soil? Would your super soil still be effective if it was "diluted" with normal soil?

Hey Sub.
Thanks for this tutorial. It's been an extremely informative read and many of my questions have already been answered. But the one that I'm still wondering about is the ratio of perlite that you use in the Super Soil? I've been using the roots organics soil for a couple of years without your additions and it doesn't drain very well. What do you think it should be percentage wise; or how much do you add for your six sack mix?
Thank you again.

hey im a first time grower well i haven't started yet. i plan on building a mother/veg tent in my laundry room and i have a
2w x 5l x 8h closet i will use for flowering about 4-6 plants. i want to use organic soil and nutes. i will clone and veg with flo's and cfls. ok now to my questions. I need to know what organic nutes are good and how you would recommend to use them. also would i have better yields in that space with a 400w hps or a 600w? i want a balance between yield and the cost of the electric bill. umm good cloning solution, leeching, really a basic run down on everything i will need. i want to know as much as possible before i start. im not somone who likes to waste what little cash i have so i try to get it right the first time. thanks for any help!

I think draining is way over rated.
Years ago when people were using back yard dirt Ed and crew suggested no one use packed soil but a well drained soil

Any store bought soil like Roots or similar already has plenty of drainage in fact maybe to much I dont like to spend all my time watering

remember perlite is inert and provides nothing for the plant and takes up vital nutrient space.

The soil you use as a base:
6 Bags Roots soil or equivalent high quality supped up grow soil
Note**I am trying a new product made by a local company that contains less fir bark called Harvest Moon
Does it have any perlite in it? Or could you just use and type of sterile potting soil?

"The Perlite and Coco I happen to have and it will make a better mix but it is not necessary."

I read in your first post on this thread about it making a "better mix". Just wanted to see if there was a specific amount.

Thanks for your time.

Well, my question is: Does it have to be special soil thats the best there is, or can it be a Walmart/Lowes discount brand?

Absolutly NOT!!!!

These cheap soils are made with profits in mind not good ganja.
You get out of it what you put into it.
If you want to smoke walmart weed go for it..

Everyone asking me specific questions I couldnt be more detailed in how I make the soil and what goes into it than I have on the thread, If you dont see it then I dont add it :)

I use Super Soil to top dress with yes.

Just do the best you can matching my recipe and then spend the next 30 years perfecting it like I have :)

I love how blunt and honest you are sub. You have quite the patience to answer repeat questions over and over when everything is outlined in all your threads. >_<

if you use a inoculant with super soil you will torch your plants bro.[/quo

I should have been more specific, I know that adding additional mycorrhizae to the Super Soil will fry them, I was just wondering if Sub used any additional mycorrhizae in early veg in the base soil...

And Sub, sorry for all the questions...your tutorial is very easy to understand and very informative...I'm sure you get questions up the root ball every day, and I apologize for wasting your time...
