Stressing my girl to make a lot of trichomes ?

You've got alot more than 4 weeks left for sure, I'd venture to say end of July at the earliest for a chop, Labor Day for a decent dried/cured rip. Just my opinion.
Oh man, the end of july is like 9 more weeks, plust the almost 5 weeks its been so far that makes it 14weeks total, really gonna test my patience :(
I wouldn't have any problem waiting if I could score some bud to keep me going , but around where I live getting some is really hard, and my current stash is like only 10 more joints :(

Better just smoke 1 a week.

Exactly, the secret to more resin is sulfur
Sulfur? WHAT? That will not INCREASE tric production. The use of a Mg Sulfate solution like "Sweet" from Botanicare might increase the resin production, but not the amount of trics......It also effects the production of terps...

Try this.....up the K by 3. (0-0-3) This DOES work......To increase tric's....

I think you should grow a variety that produces heavy trichs
if that is your goal.
I have sativas that are potent but not trich heavy.

The true secret to increasing trichome production is quite obvious actually, low humidity. I came to realize that every year during the very dry winters when the humidity gets as low as 10% where I live, my buds would be WAY more frosty looking! So I decided to buy a dehumidifier which I use during flowering now and I have seen a great increase in trichome production on plants. It makes great sense too since one of the main natural functions of trichomes are to insulate the plant during bouts of low humidity.

Everyone has told you what's correct.
But while you learn keep a daily journal.
Just grow this one out as is.
next seedling you can apply some Known techniques to enhance the size of your plant.
Oh and get aTon more light, at least 400 watts to flower unless you wasn't 20 light bulbs around your plant.
In the mean time....
Learn about topping and FMing and Uncle Bucks tech, super cropping, LST, mainlining and cloning.
All available in the forums and on YouTube.
Be careful not to learn wrong stuff!
Bless,
DZ

If it helps any with your impatience you might as well know that if these girls are already 5 weeks into flower, you'll be harvesting something just north of nothing anyway. The sparse stature of these plants overall is a much bigger problem than trying to increase trich production.
That doesnt mean its not a great learning experience though. I'm sure your next run will be a better one.

I have read about this, that low humidity and somewhat reduced temperatures will make more trics :D its to bad it has been raining for the last 5 days and humidity is pretty high, tho I will write this down for future grows ;) thanx.

I am aware my yield will be very small, which makes me sad :( but the experience sure makes me wanna do a kick ass job on my second grow.
BTW I saw more pistils coming out on nodes that had none yesterday, so that is nice, and also besides my 2 plants that are blooming now I also have a plant that has been 3 weeks in 12/12 from seed and today I noticed some little pistils appearing. I mean the girl is small, on has 2 sets of 3 fingered leaves and already showing sex, that makes me think 12/12 from seed works contrary to all the things I read that said it wouldn't.

I'll add some pics today, for some constructive criticism... i hope lol.

12/12 from seed works, you just end up with sweet FA in yield.

Here's some pics taken today

Healthy plant
main cola

nodes pistils development

The sick plant
main cola and visible node pistils

The 3 week old
You can see a few white hairs, still very small but growing non the less

I gotta say the bud growing on my "sick" plant looks the best so far. And I gotta say I feel lucky they are all girls :D hoping none hermie on me (especially the sick plant which I thought it will).

It's most likely the interaction of the sulfur with OTHER nutrients that effect the availablity of the nutrients that DO produce tric increases. So it's a relationship thing working for you.

BTW, yes "Sweet" is costly, But you can make your OWN for pennies on the dollar!

Boil 4 cups of water. To that add 8 TBL of Epsom salt and 1 1/2 tsp of dark brown sugar. Boil till dissolved.
Add enough water to equal 1 gallon.......You now have a gallon of $65.00 "Sweet" that cost you LESS then 2.00 to make!

Works exactly the same.....Oh, yes. That adds sulfur too, as it's made from Mg sulfate.

not an interaction at all, discovered when I switched nutes and proven by adding more sulfur afterwards. Others are doing it as well with the same results
