Liza has opened up!! She sprouted with one cotyledon and two true leaves. I was concerned about the missing cotyledon. BUT! With its first set of true leaves I think she will be fine. Gwen has the growth tips of her next leaf set appearing. That bitch is going to grow strong!!

anybody know why my soil runoff would be in the 5.0-6.0 pH range?
i water with about 6.0 pH and Happy Frog is said to be balanced at 6.5 pH

am i missing something?

If your soil is at 6.5 you should water with 6.5 pH
Watering with a lower pH than your soil will drop the soils ph...

Oh Very nice.

Also if one doesint pop that helmet off, Just grab some tweezers or just be very careful with your fingers and pull it off.

If you have tweezers. Put them just into the helmet and let them open up the shell instead of you pinching it. : )

are you going to mother these? Or grow them out all the way.

you misunderstood. Liza lost her helmet, and i'm growing them out. Don't have the means for perpetual right now. I might take a couple cuttings, but not planning to perpetuate. just give myself a little extra stash with the clones.

Got any new pics Shack? Maybe jordi can come and give you some pointer to achieve that over 3 grams per watt mark LOL

lol I'm stepping off the Jordi issue. He's an annoying prick, no reason to waste my fingers time and risk carpal tunnel for that douche.
I guess I could snap some photos, the girls just look like baby seedlings, they're starting to look like cannabis finally!! YAY! lmao

i'll post pics in a few minutes, along with a question.... ooooo suspense what could it be?!!?

Here they are, finally at home in their pots. They've made a good bit of progress lately. Gwen (1 and 2) has started a second leaf set, you can see the growth tips starting to stretch a bit. Liza (3 and 4) is FINALLY starting to catch up to Gwen. You can see where Liza lost one of her cotyledons and is starting to regrow it back.

Pics 5 and 6 Who says HID growers are the only ones who get to play with air cooled lighting lol. I needed to add a fan to the tent to strengthen the girls and i couldn't find a good place to sit/mount it. I hung it from the hood and the blowing past/through the tubes of the CFL disperses and breeze nicely, you can see the seedlings shaking every so slightly from the breeze. Another benefit, this makes the CFL damn near cool to the touch, so it might buy myself sometime should I forget to adjust the hood for half a day or so.

The big question I have for everyone. Do these girls look too young for a drop of SuperThrive? I want to get them started on some soon, get the roots going, I noticed a difference in my outdoor gardens after just ONE watering with the stuff. Literally brought some transplants back to life after moving them around the yard. (i grow flowers/herbs in the yard not cannabis)

What do you think, another week before I feed?

looking good man. Where can I pick up some superthrive? I hear that everyone uses it when they transplant. I cant wait to see how great your ladies are going to turn out!

You can get superthrive at lowe's or home depot
It isn't anything that special dude, I would spend my money on something that has more benefits from using it

WHAT?! haha i've been in this discussion before over SuperThrive, some will stand by it all the way to the gates of hell. Others will say it's worthless. I am a STRONG believer in SuperThrive, it has brought my tomatoes back from near death, and my lemon balm, lavender and basil transplant, nearly doubled in size within 2 or 3 days of its application. The cost effectiveness of the bottle is why I like it. Like 8 bucks and this bottle will probably last me a year maybe more. I'm hoping to dose them with ST by the weekend.

PS
In my opinion get you a bottle! Easy to find at ANY home/garden center (Lowes and HD will DEFINITELY have it)

apparently setting that fan up on the hood has increased my temps??
where it was once in the 74-82 range it has spiked at times to 89?!
BUT! when i open the tent the temperature (good old fashioned test) seems pretty consistent with how it was earlier. hmm..
anyone think of an explanation? i sure as hell can't!

maybe placing the fan with its back against the wall isnt letting enough of the cooler air from the bottom blow into the light. maybe lower it about as wide as the fan is, and then angle it up at the light. this will allow the fan to suck up some of the cooler air below, blow it on the light, and depending on the angle provide your plant with a breeze. just a thought. nice setup
