Now that I think about it, Bucky's plants aren't the only ones to go hermie. Which makes sense why he mooches off his wife's parents, since gay marriage isn't recognised in Oregon.

This is the most non news worthy news in a while. They have petitions to release alien autopsy videos, to deport the secession petition signers, and to institute an ice cream day. Wake me up when a state legislature actually votes to secede. That will be news worthy. It's all a bunch of hot air. The ridiculous thing is some people believe this shit is really going to happen. Texas is the only state with enough giun weilding crazies to put up much of a fight when the blue coats come. Any state that seceded would get steam rolled by the military.

Wait a minute - these aren' the same folk who claim to be more patriotic than anyone else in the country? the ones who insist on flag lapel pins and holding one's hand to one's heart during a manditory pledge of alliegence? These aren't the same "America love it or leave it" folk who continualy invite anyone who doesn't agree with their political point of view to go elsewhere? And now they are soooo patriotic that when someone legaly gets the presidency they can't stand it.

First class quality whiners is what they are. I can't stand a sore loser.

Secession petitions now filed for all 50 states

Petitions signed by hundreds of thousands of Americans seeking permission for their states to peacefully secede from the union have now been filed for all 50 states on the White House website.

The secession petition push began last week on the site's We The People section after a Slidell, La., man filed a petition on Nov. 7 to allow Louisiana to secede. Residents from other states followed suit.

As of Wednesday afternoon, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Texas—all states that voted for former Gov. Mitt Romney—as well as Florida each had accumulated more than 25,000 signatures, the threshold needed to trigger an official response from the Obama administration. Collectively, the secession petitions now have more than 700,000 digital signatures.

Texas is in the lead with more than 99,000, but Gov. Rick Perry said on Tuesday that he does not support secession.

"Gov. Perry believes in the greatness of our Union and nothing should be done to change it," a statement from the governor's office read. "But he also shares the frustrations many Americans have with our federal government."

Meanwhile, residents of Austin, Texas' stubbornly liberal stronghold, have petitioned the White House to allow the city to "withdraw from the state of Texas [and] remain part of the United States."

Of course, the petitions are little more than symbolic—and nothing new. Similar petitions were filed after the 2004 and 2008 elections. And at least one petition filed on the site asks that the president sign an executive order to strip U.S. citizenship from anyone who signed a petition to secede and requests that they are "peacefully deported."

Secession, though, is not the only thing people are petitioning the White House for. Included among the 140 petitions currently displayed on the site: two seeking federal legalization of marijuana, one asking for the halt of U.S. drone strikes and one demanding a recount of the election.

Whine? When Bush gained the whitehouse the second time I and my friends bucked up and waited it out. We pointed out what we thought were his bad policies and we soldiered on. It is the right that has near infinte problems with someone other than themselves holding the Whitehouse - as though they were.....entitled.... to it.

I can't recall a leftie killing themselves over an election their side lost.

You don't get my meaning, the Republicans are the ones who are redistributing all the free whine this election cycle...I guess they're part leftie too ;)

Way to show your misunderstanding of a kind of Marx quote (I say kind of b/c he never actually said religion is the opiate of the masses, it was just paraphrased as such).
That is not a Karl Marx quote. That is a Doer quote. So, please explain your idea of my mis-understanding, or better yet, say if you agree or not.

Besides to mis-direct the point, what other value is gained over nattering about opiates vs the combination of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder?

It makes no sense. Adderall focuses the attention. It forces, not feigns attention. I should know. And I do. I have quite a bit of experience with opium, as well. No brag, just facts.

Opinions are what keep us docile. They are like assholes, most folks have at least one. We shit at each other instead of fomenting revolution. That is the point. Maybe more Aderall is needed all around. :)

Secession is desertion!.........If, when I was fighting in a foxhole in Vietnam, any soldier stood up & "secedded" because the battle was getting rough, I'd shoot him in the back!.........Deserter!..........Leave me to fight on my own?..Coward!
I dare you, secceed across my line of fire, you cowards!
Conservatives remind me of spoiled kids, that will only play, if they can win. They can't accept true competion, because they might lose!

You're dissecting an imperfect metaphor. Never mind the precise effects of the drug ... many people these days have opinions that have more to do with looking like one is informed than actually being so. That was what I was after. (In my opinion. )cn

Whoa...Nelly......count to ten there DJJ....

So what you are saying is .....The cowards were conservative? and you would shoot them in the back.... if you decided to think they were going to run from battle....

I was thinking some conservative's were shot in the back for leading liberals into battle that didn't want to go........I think it go's both ways to get the record straight.....

You kinda make it sound like all conservatives are cowards.....I have never ran from anything and my father didn't either............nitro..

Many people in Texas still consider themselves "Citizens of the Republic of Texas". There was a slight uproar back in the 1800's when so soon after we won our freedom from Mexico, they turned around and handed us over to the US. Texans have long memories, and many have not forgotten or forgiven. The pride in being a citizen of Texas also runs deep. So, it is understandable that there would be fertile ground for such action. Given the state of the union, one might wonder why there isn't more support for this petition. I'm not saying I personally support it. I am one that likes to view all sides, and every angle before making any decision, especially one of this magnitude.
I will look into this further. I had heard about it, but have been bombarded in both my professional, and my personal life. Thanks for bringing this back to my attention.

My family got to Texas well before the war with Mexico arriving in 1828. The state is now filled with dumbasses. A lot of great folks live there but they are being overrun by the dumbasses.

You're rare. Most identifying themselves as conservatives today are chickencraps. The vast majority never served a day in uniform and neither do their kids. Armchair patriots, barely worth a bullet in the back.

Actually I should have made another post about conservatives. It didn't belong in the post about the coward successionists!
We all bought into this voting thing, we must make the best of it win or lose. This sh*t of "I'm picking up my toys & going home", every time they lose is childish!

In the military, you'll find a higher percentage of conservatives than in the general population. Thank you for your service, but do you have to mention it in every other post?
