Everything sounds real good up to now bro, it just souns really strange to me hearing you say real Columbian Gold weed grown in a DWC my how far we've come lol but your lineup is great and i hope you do very well ..+ rep and Peace
As I understand it and have been told, the Landrace strain is the original 1970's Columbian Gold. Remember tasting something back 30-40 years ago, then today, 2010, you get a chance to step back into the past, taste, smell and of course the buzz, I mean, your there, back in the 70's. I can hardly wait. Also the Blue Widow is kick-ass as well.

If I'm successful in cloning, should have a total of 6 CG and 6 BW. It's gonna be goooood

Thanks, planning to switch at the end of week 5. I'll be posting some updated photos of my new flowering area.

Thanks, like to compare smoke info when we get there. The Blue Widow has the fat indica leaves, much darker than the gold, but that is how she is described in the specs. She has a high that I had hoped to come across for my disease. But I love the grow so much " I'm buzzed " I'll keep trying new strains right up to the crematorium so to speak. Starting to smoke bud again after so many years, it has simply saved my life, swear to God....

I believe the plant goes thru a change in it's 4th week. Had this same problem on my 1st grow. It seems that when my gals go into their 4th week, just like my last grow, the plants foliage starts to curl inwards, turns yellow on the tip and edges. Day later, yellow turns brown and the foliage has brown blotches on it. It is not nute burn. I stay on the light side of recommended dosage of fertilizer, micro-nutrients. PH is 6.0. I use filtered tap water and distilled water at a 1:1 ratio.

Last time I added a 1 tsp/1gallon of water of CalMag+, 2 days later cleared right up and never returned. Same thing this grow, starting to cleared right up. My thoughts are that perhaps at this stage of growth, the plant needs that supplement at the 4th week of vegetation. Any thoughts or suggestion on this matter? I’m picking up a PPM meter, so I can monitor better. I will continue to do my weekly dump/rinse/add nutes.

Morning check today, they are now fine, they needed the CalMag+. PPM meter is a must

CalMag+ did the trick, but I,m keeping an eye on it. PH holding at 5.5. Ready to start cloning, hopefully Sunday, no later than Monday. Research tells me that the best clone jell is Replicator, next choice is Clonex. Instead of rockwool, going w/rootplugs or rapid rooter. I hear rootplugs are good for germination as well.

Once my littles ones are rooted well, I'll place each strain in a dedicated grow-box. The mother plants will be going into flowering in 2 weeks, the clones follow the week after if all goes well. Then I'll try germinating a couple more strains.

Btw, that Landrace Columbian Gold specs:

Has never posed a problem before. I dump my rez each week and replenish w/fresh new water, rinse my roots for 24 hours, then add next batch of fertilizer and micro-nutrients. My rez box in the flowering room is less exposed however. Have not posted any photos of that area cuz I have no plants in there yet

Quick update, Day 30: Plan to clone this week. Some info brought to my attention was that you should not clone from a feminized plant. The claim is that most feminized cloned plants will herme out in the 4-5th week. I hope thats not true. I guess I'll find out in awhile.

Update: Day 33 in vegetation. Dumped and rinsed roots for 24 hours. Add recommended fertilizer flora grow, CalMag+ and flora micro nutrients. Using my new PPM and the distilled water was at 4ppm, filterd tap water was 256, when mixed 1:1 ratio, ppm were at 149. It will be interesting to see what they are after adding the nutes. PH is at 5.4

Flowering room is now complete less the plants of course. Topping my gals and take cuttings this week. My plant is to clone 5-6 clones per Columbian Gold and 5-6 clones from the Blue Widow. I hope they take. I bought Replicator clone jell, root plugs and my cloner box has been tested and my research is complete. Once the cloned roots take/start in the grow-box they go. I plan to place 5 clones per grow-box, any remaining I'll place them into potting soil, I'm so stoked about this.

My gals have become bushier, even the younger C.G.#3 is catching up. The B.W. is far darker than the Gold is. They look very healthy, ready for the cutting cloning. Next week, plan to put them into flowering and with the clones coming into my new flowering room in a few weeks behind them.

Day 34. Added the recommended dose of flora grow, flora micro, calmag+. PH at 5.4, ppm were in proper range. Picked up some 26watt, 2700k, 1800 lumen CFLs and 1/2 doz clamp-on fixtures to assit w/my existing larger 105watters. After the clones show signs of root, the 3 Columbian Gold and my Blue Widow are going into flowering, can't wait..

The clamp-on light fixtures I get at Lowes, they have 3 different sized reflectors, I use the small and medium one. Home Depot and Walmart have them as well.
With my 23 watt CFLs, I use the Y socket adaptor. This way, I'm burning a combined 46 watt, 6500k, combined 3600 lumen/fixture. They work great.
My flowering room will have both 2700k and 6500k to mix the spectrum along w/my 105 watt CFLs

Thanks for your support my freind

WOW they look great bro
keep it up!!! + rep
I can easly flower them right now, but it's been a busy week w/life, so I'll try to cut clones Sunday while I watch my KC Chiefs kick-ass at Oakland

Thanks for stopping by my freind

Cutting clones this pm. Everything is ready in my flowering room. Almost bought a hps grow light today for the room, but I want to finish out this grow on my mothers w/my CFLs. Clones will be going into the flowering room in the 4th-5th week anyway, perhaps then I'll get it/hang it and see what kinda of an outcome I get w/it. Regardless tho, I'll continue to buy/use CFLs. I believe when mounting CFLs within a few inches from the colas/bud, it makes the colas bigger/fatter/tastier imo.

My wife is the big KC Chiefs fan....but bcuz they are doing so well this year, an excellent coach and his staff, great running backs/game, they have been a great team this year. Last few weeks they have been just getting better and better. Tell ya what, bet ya a z on the game, payable at the 2011 summer Biker/Grower/Gathering, I'm trying to put together. I'll post the details about it in a few. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the game....

My gals are super bushy, day 37

They're looking awful purrrrty bra. Can't wait to see em bud.
They go into flowering tommorrow, day 40. Cut enough clones to keep the strains going and going. The clones will go into floweing in 4 weeks if all goes well. Next photos I'll post will be of the new flowering room.

Day 42, took cuttings from all 3 Columbian Gold and my single Blue Widow. Used Rapid Rooter plugs, Replicator root jell, they have been in the dome for 2 days now. Same day I put the mothers into flowering....if I get clones, they will go into flowering in 4 weeks, which at that time I will take more cuttings..

Got five 105watt, 2700k, 5000 lumen and six 26watt, 2700k, 1800 lumen burning over the moms. Total of 660+watts and 35,800 lumen, just under 3,000 lumen/sqft and 55watts/sqft, 165watts/plant. I can more than double that output by adding the rest of my CFLs, but for now, everything is good, the moms are looking, smelling great. Should see pistils in a week or ten days. Best part of the grow imo.

Both the C.Gold and B. Widow are proving to be an excellent, durable strain to grow. I am so glad I was able to find the Landrace Columbian Gold and to top it all off, the Blue Widow was a freebee, and what a great surprise to see how well she is doing. She has far darker foliage and as the breeder's strain discription she's as bushy as tall. Almost as if fate was involved getting this Blue Widow strain to me to grow. If the buzz is as good as the breeder has discribed, she will be my AM pot/hash to consume. I really recommend beginners or 1st time growers to consider these 2 strains when starting out. I know there are many to choose from..

After harvest, I plan to make as much hash as I can, leaving me a few oz's of course for smoking and cannabutter. But the hash I can simply swallow w/morning coffee for pain, lyme's symptoms relief. I ate hash in Germany and shortly after returning back to the world. It takes about 15 minutes after swallowing a piece to take hold, a very warm, fussy, stoney, body and head high that kicks in. As good as smoking it, but this way, whenever, where-ever, just take it like medicine w/o blazing up. I will always smoke bud and hash, as long as my lungs hold out that is....

Photos: Day 39, right before taking cuttings and switching to flowering stage and lighting schedule of 12/12. After 2 weeks of 12/12, will switch to 14 off/10 on until 48 hours prior of harvest, no lights for 48 hours, cut, re-generate the mothers....
oh hell yeah... 8-10 weeks from now :weed:

Great way to start the New Year, I'm so stoked :leaf:
