Great set up! Been thinking of DWC myself; I'll be watching yours closely! [SUBBED]
Hey kroost. I thought I saw you lurkin' back there! :) Welcome.

DSCF0864.jpg

Seeing a little more fringing this afternoon. Looks like I may be over watering a little. Few rust spots too. No bigs. Going to adjust the timers, and re-consider addbacks for a week (besides water), and see how they respond. Dropped the light down too 9 inches from the "canopy", and they perked right up. Everything in soil-pots got fed today. Veg room is clean, and green. Time to check on how everything's curing, and nab another couple weeks worth of smoke.

ZucchiniBread 028.JPG

Going to finish off the last of this zucchini bread, and have a spaced out screening of the Conjuring on PPV. Let's get weird!

Pinworm, you're my kind of RIU member -- giving, thoughtful, receptive and forthright. Glad to see you here, glad to see your grow and even gladder to be able to share my time with you. Rock on.

Thanks, Krypt. I'm going to take that to heart. I do my best to keep an understanding/positive mental attitude. Teaching and learning evokes the best part of who we are – of how we want to become, share, and grow. I want to share everything I know, along with my mistakes, to give back to this amazing community that has helped me improve my standard of living tenfold. Glad to be able to have the privilege of yours, and everyone's company. Some serious potential on this board, man.

I appreciate the kind words. And, I appreciate everyone coming by and sharing! Irie vibes incoming.

I was about to compliment you on the high quality crumble.:0)JD
Secret is to use freshly ground cinamon, and a little kosher salt. That, and weed-butter. Lots of weed-butter. Baking's another one of my passions. Suprise suprise. A pothead that likes food. We definately do NOT screw around at desert in this house. I want to get a few loaves of pumpkin-bread rolling while they're still in season. Big slice, and a tall frosty glass of milk. Sounds good, huh? Om-nom-nom!

I hope you're not screwing around in the desert. That's a good way to die. Remember that stressed backwards is desserts :)
The zuchini bread does look nummy. Baking is mostly my wife's province in the kitchen but I love to cook.

This is not the first time someone's phone has gotten them in trouble. Haha. Yea, I love to cook, too. Just recently started to learn to cook Chinese. Sweet and sour chicken is one of my favs right now. But, I never have time to go all out anymore. Lately, the most fancy dish I've prepared, is a big porterhouse w/ some red potatoes. Now, I'm hungry.

DSCF0873.jpg

Going to have to cover my water level tube. Starting to see a little algae forming (only in the tube). Also, adjusted my watering schedule, and can already see they're responding. Taking a trip to the hardware store today to pick up a few essentials, then I'll probably just wander the aisles for an hour or two going, "I could use that for growing weed. I could use that. Oh, and that would be a nice addition..."

Sauces are my thing. And I do the same thing in the home depot. It'll be even worse now that you're running hydro!

PF Chang's Orange Peel Chicken all the way man.

Oh I'm subbed btw, lol.

Looking great. Everything is very clean and organized. Surefire step to avoiding problems. Can't wait to see your system in full bloom.

Welcome, ytind. And, thanks. For my money, it's General Sow's Chicken when I hit up PF's. I'm pretty stoked for the flip, too. But, I'm going to try not to get too excited, take my time, bonsai them down all nice like, and get 'em all bushy first. Then the real show will begin.

WW Before and after.

DSCF0795.jpg

Some of the bigger colas. Exceptionally decent
for 17 inch plants. Could of thrown those
against the wall and they would of totally stuck.

DSCF0882.jpg

Tops from WW#2 are a few grams shy of a halfer.

Thought I would post a few pics from last harvest. Admittedly, not my best product. But, a few things were going on. I was out of smoke, and in a hurry to re-stock my personal. Also, I went 12/12FS. I didn’t veg, and topped only once. But, I’m pretty happy with how they look, the yield, taste, and how they smoke.

Quick Smoke report:
Strain: White Widow from Dinafem
Growth: Bud growth starts a little slow, but explodes around 4-5 weeks. Responds fantastic to LST.
Nutes: Fox Farm Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom (CaMg+, Superthrive, Pk 13/14 on day 35, Botanicare SweetBerry, Molasses)
Yield: 2 17 inch plants gave me 5+ oz dry weight (2 Dinafem WW 5+oz - 1 Bagseed 2+oz dryweight) Total weight - 8.5oz
Bag Appeal: 8/10 - Produces some real hairy berries
Smell: During flower she had a real "skunky lemon pledge" smell. After 2 weeks of curing, she's taking on a piney, musky aroma.
Taste: Sweet Indica - sort of mentholated feeling. Detecting some berry as well from the Botanicare Sweet. Bonus.
The High: Instant relief. You get the creeping headband feeling, while your face warms up. Any more than a few bong rips, and I'm locked. Also, turns me into a giggler.
Comments: 53 day harvest, although they could have gone a day or two longer I think. One of the easier strains to grow, very hardy. Short plants! Definitely give at least 2-3 weeks veg. Took a hit on yield for going the 12/12FS route.

Sweet report Pinworm. Great work. I love the WW. I just pulled a WW auto from Vision Seeds. I have started to run an auto as a "scout" strain in the corner. If there are any problems coming your way the autos will show it first in my experience. Your flowers look dense too bro. Great pull from 17" plants.

Thanks Gandalf. Solid info, as per usual. I'm still on the fence about what direction to go with atuos lighting schedule. Veg cab is currently running at 18/6. I'm thinking maybe when I flip the photos, that I'll let the auto's ride it out under the T5's for those first 3-4 weeks at 18/6, then finish up the last few weeks at 12/12 under HPS. Might even just build a completely new partition dedicated to flowering autos.

Stoked to see some good phenos in the group. DSD#2 is lightning fast. She's got legs, man. Same with WWxBB#2. PF#1 is taking her sweet time, but, I'll be damned if she didn't reek like cat-piss when I topped, and pruned her. Musky for a seedling.

What kind of lighting schedule are you all using for your autos? You guys think it's the length of time spent in "lights-on" that's the key to a better auto yield, or is it the quality of the acutal lightsource (i.e. 20/4 under T5's as opposed to 12/12 under 600w of HPS)?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Started training a few ladies this morning. Also, dropped the lamp again. Picked up a cheap thermostat so I can finally stop running the AC all day. Today is my last day off for a while, so I should probably get started amending the soil that I plan on cooking. Need to do some more reading about building a casting bin. Thinking about raising some worms. Their poo can do some miraculous things. Getting my system all dialed in. Making one final water schedule adjustment, and will probably keep it that way. At least for the rest of veg. I need to order a cheapy humidifier if I’m going to keep vegging in the flower tent. I live in an extremely dry area. Humidity is dropping way to low. Hang in there ladies!

Days total: 23
