Looks cool ill be subd.

As far as cameras go id set some up outside or looking outside of your house. Maybe even purchase a security companies app.
Welcome bud. That's not a half bad idea. The thing is, I'm in an extremely rural, and mountainous area. No other homes (save 1) for about 4 miles in every direction. Front of my property is gated up, and I'm about a half mile in from the road. It's about a 5 minute ATV ride to get the mail. Haha. I rarely get visitors, and try to follow the "3 Don'ts" that I learned from an extremely knowledgeable stealth grower, and brewer:

- DON'T TELL
- DON'T SMELL
- DON'T SELL

Well shit if youre that far away from people then youd probably be fine with wireless cameras hahaha. More just matters with apartments or more suburban areas.

Smart though. Wish i had some property like that.

Must of been 3 months of research before I decided to get my feet wet. Didn't want to start before I was sure that I could handle the challenge. Glad to have you along. Thanks for posting!

If your feet are wet, you may have a leak :) Sorry I couldn't help myself. that was fucking terrible. I feel ashamed but I am still going to click the post button.

Thanks, JoOb. I have a lot of respect for what you guys do outdoors. And, having property like mine makes it great for attempting something like that without too much worry of rippers and what have you. Next year, I plan on a HUGE outdoor grow. 50+ plants. Fun in the sun.

I built the bubbler for a little under $120. Spent a little on extra things like hydroton, timers, meters etc.

Here's a list of everything I used to build the bubblers (in case you feel like building your own):

- 1 Hydrofarm 6w 15LPM Airpump

- 4 Hydrofarm ASCL 6’ Airstones
- 2 Hydrofarm 6' Halo Drippers
- 2 16w (291 GPH) Ponic Pumps
- 2 Enduro-drip ½ Inline Filters
- 2 Permaloc ½ Hose Caps
- 50ft NoKink ¾ Commercial Hose
- 50ft Raindrip ¼ Tubing
- 50ft Raindrip ½ Tubing
- 2ft Poly Vinyl Hose (Clear)
- 100ft Pen Plax Airline tubing
- Orbit ½ Faucet Fitting
- 6 Oatey ¼ Pipe Clamps
- 2 Gardena ½ Quick Connects
- 2 Gardena ½ Quick T’s
- 2 Gardena ½ Corner Connects
- 2 ½ PVC Elbows
- 2 ¼ PVC Threaded Hose Cap
- 2 8' Square Net-pots

So far, I'm completely happy with the direction I took (DWC). I would keep a couple things in mind when building, or even buying a kit.

1 - Root space/Res size (You'll want as much room for the roots as you can get away with. Bigger the res, the easier it is to control the Ph, and temperature)
2 - Accessibility (I have running water in my tent, along with a drain hose. Having a way to fill, drain, and clean without lugging the res around is handy)
3 - Light (Growing in hydro, your ladies can stretch WAAY out of control without proper lighting. So, if you're using fluorescents, make sure to use an appropriate amount of nutrients. Less at first, then scale until you're happy)

Those are the 3 things that really helped me choose what I wanted to run with. Hope that helps some, and thanks for posting. If you decide to build your own and have any questions, feel free to either PM me, or just post away. Goes for everyone else as well.

would that setup work good with leds? as i have a decent led aray,id have to check specs, but i have 5 small lights that are ajustable from dim to very bright, and 1 large bulb, the 5 small are low voltage, the large runs from a regular 110 outlet,,id def be interested in building that unit,im very good at that kind of stuff

i have alot of that stuff already stocked in my shop,as we do build machines sometimes for my cousin, the drippers airsones and pump id have to buy

i have an old 2 foot satelite disk.i had planed on mounting my lights in it,like a dome over the plants,i was just going to do soil grow in a spare storage room i have, but im now thinking id like to try hydro gro instead

I know very little about LEDs. I would venture that they would work great for any hydro setup. Couple reasons being that you will never have any heat issues, and you save a ton on electricity. Heat is one of your enemies when it comes to DWC. You wanna keep the roots at about 65F. 60F is better. The lower the temps, the more Dissolved Oxygen for the roots. It gets a little tough to balance the ambient temps in relation to the res. But, honestly, you can use any sort of lighting for any type of setup and get results. For the best results IMO you want fluorescents for rooting (I use a 4 foot 4 tube T5HO - but CFLS do the job), MH for Veg, and HPS or an equally powerful LED for Flowering. Of course that's just MY ideal lineup. Prosperian and Slipon are two guys who use LEDs. Quite successfully I might add. I would direct any technical questions about LEDs you may have to them, and have you check this PDF.

You can get all that stuff on amazon.com for dirt cheap.

That's a totally ingenuitive idea, man. Make sure to stop by and show us what you come up with.

Nice ideas here.

I am not certain, but taking the admittedly tedious extra
step of turning on MAC Address Filtering on the Access Point
and then adding only your wireless device's MAC addresses
to the Filtering Table is a fairly good way of stopping a takeover,
but it will not hide what you are doing. For that I recommend
just using a wire. It is still possible. :0)

...and there is not a wireless encryption scheme that is not breakable,
at this time, IIRC. (some are a good deal harder though)

Good luck,

JD
Agreed, as much as I hate to say that nothing is crack-proof. AES is quite solid, and is one of the more sane ones to work with from a wireless aspect, imho. AES256 alone with a solid cluster grinding it would take a good year to brute force it.. and rainbow table size would make it a joke to try, the table size would be on the order of (3.06499108×(10^54)) Yobibytes, as a guess. Edit: WPA-PSK is also another solid choice.

Thought I'd show you guys my "root zone" Oh, that sounded sort of dirty. Haha. Plenty of movement, and bubbles. Healthy, strong, and white. Light makes them look a bit darker than they actually are. H2o2 keeps them bright white, and the whole setup completely slime free. Starting to see some offshooting already. Today marks the beginning of week 3.
