Just found out through cloning for sex that the PCK # 1 is a Male... pics later when its more pronounced. Still hard to tell, but it looks like PCK # 2 is a female... I'll put pics up later and reveal the sex of #2 as well as the Skunks that have shown by then. Thanks for the patience, its going to require a LOT of it if you are here in real time. If PCK #2 is a female, I am going to proceed with an inbreed... but that might not happen on this next crop (Crop 4). Worst case scenario is that I need to order another ten pack of PCK's. So get comfy, roll up a couple, and enjoy the loooooooooooooong ride through this.

    • More Females Identified... \o/

      Males

      Trainwreck (Feminized)
      Mystery Plant #1 (Feminized)
      Mystery Plant #2 (Feminized)
      Skunk No. 1 #5
      PCK #2

      Unknowns
      Skunk No. 1 #2
      Skunk No. 1 #6

Because I don't have a place to flower these males as of yet, I am destroying the PCK #1 and the Skunk No. 1 #1 plants (Oops) I didn't even take a clone of the Skunk male! Oh well, if the other two are both females, I guess I won't have Skunk No. 1 pollen. Not a huge loss. Not as huge as only getting one female and one male out of the PCK seed pack. I do have PCK #1 (male) in the cloner already rooted... I'm just waiting for someone to get these Trainwreck clones out of here so I have a spot for it. The last thing to hope for is that the PCK Female is a Purple one! Cross fingers for me...

Sorry for the redundancy if you read the journal for crop 4... Last time I apologize for overlapping journals! I have 5 stages of plant growth up in here right now, so its a full time affair. I thought of making one journal, as a sort of "Continuous Grow" thing like I have seen, but I really want each and every crop and experiment and process to have its own journal from beginning to end. If I grouped em all in one I think it would confuse me as to being able to track the progress of a plant from the clone box to the curing jar. If you look, you will find all of them in here somewhere. As of today, there is 4 Crop journals. The first crop was started in August of 2011. This is all on my second medical marijuana card in Michigan, a scary place to grow cannabis to say the least. Alright, I'm done babbling.

Pics of the male and female flowers in a few... when they are more defined.

Here is the Clone of the PCK Male... I have already milked it for pollen twice since this pic was taken on 5/18...
171707.jpg 171712.jpg
171749.jpg 171828.jpg

That last pic on the bottom right contains a PCK Male and Female clone from the original, as well as a clone of the original Male of both PCK and Skunk No. 1. There is a female skunk too. The Skunk No. 1 Male I kept for future use. The PCK male is bangin in veg currently (6/5) and the female skunk got dumped. I have clones of it that just came of the cloner. I made a new cloner by the way, it has 92 sites. Ok, so I have pollen already from the male that I discovered in the clone for sex experiment. The female pck that I got out of the deal.... is..... can I get a drunken drum roll please? IT IS PURPLE.... So out of the 2 that came through, one was a male and one was a purple female. It don't get any more exciting than that. The two mystery seeds from Greenhouse, I can now say with a great deal of certainty that one is a Cheese and one is a Church. So I have everything I paid for - whew, dodged a bullet there!
101952.jpg 102002.jpg
PCK Female Cloned for Sex Plant It went from 2 inches to about 14 inches in 4 weeks.

You can't really see it but if you have grown purple things for decades like I have, you will notice the purple in those small but not that small 4 week old buds. Calyx count is dense as hell, glands are covering anything anywhere near a bud. There are several shades of magenta and even a grey-blue kinda purple color... In a couple more weeks, I will flick it in natural light, it will probably be twice as big. I also plan on hitting her with some of the pollen. I am also going to unload some of that pollen on the Skunk No. 1 Clone For Sex plant. That should make an interesting cross. Bring that sativa down a bit on that Skunk sheesh!

I should be able to have a nice full sized male pollinating in about a month or so. I am getting on the 4 week crop rotation schedule soon this crop (crop 4, there is a journal on here) so that crop will be ready in August and the next one will be ready in September. That is the one that will have an Apollo 13 plant growing in it. That crop after that is when I will be able to grow more plants because I am taking on patients. I will probably have at least one plant from everything in my collection going on that crop or the next one. I plan on hitting up all of them with this PCK. It has been done before on some of these by BeanHo... Trainwreck I know for sure.... here is my updated list (after scoring 4 strains in Detroit)

Trainwreck
Apollo 13 (Brother's Grimm Clone Only)
Church (Greenhouse Seeds)
Cheese (Greenhouse Seeds)
Skunk No. 1
G13 (Airborne Clone Only)
Juicy Fruit

Lemon Larry OG (

Kryp Walk AKA Kryptonite (Clone Only)

130911.jpg 130906.jpg
A lot of legends and not so legends have been made around the idea that you can call weed Krytonite and get away with it. I'm pretty sure that this is the Clone Only Kryp Walk Or Superman Killer/Kryptonite... we'll see, there are a few things out there that have a reputable or viable reason why their Krytonite is the real Krytonite. I fucking remember when any bag of reggie's that was bright green was called Krytonite. So saying you have the real deal Krytonite is the same thing as saying you have the real deal cannabis plant. This one appears to be a hybrid, somewhere along the lines of a 50 50 split or something closer to Sativa. We can only wait.

PCK Crosses I will be doing this year...

Medicinal Citral » Pakistan, Chitral IBL x Skunk no.1

from Spliff Seeds - Medicinal Citral
Cloned straight from original Chitrali #1 seeds, which we got from Pakistan. We stabilized this Chitral using one of our proven Skunk no.1 fathers. The result is an Indica dominant strain with rockhard nugs and massive resin production. By extensively selecting and backcrossing the Chitral we have formed a very stable strain; stressproof and with little to no variation between phenos. In appearance she is a true Indica in both stature and color. The Medicinal Chitral tends to stretch towards the end of maturation. She has a darkgreen color and she has long, ovally shaped leaves.

A longtime favoured medicinal strain in Holland, thanks to her great CBD to THC ratio. The ideal painkiller! Medium to good yield, depending on expertise, with highly resinous buds. Chitral is often used in Pakistan to make charas. She is ideal for SCROG. Veg for to 2 to 3 weeks. Flowering time is between 8 to 9 weeks. She will start to show the first signs of flowering after two weeks. End height will be around 1-1.20m. Scrog this strain to maximize yields. Very well suited for growing in more moderate climates. From mid France downwards. Harvest between the mid September and mid October.

The aroma and flavor is that of lemon zest and sweet kush. Deliciously tasting bud. Although she’s Indica dominant Medicinal Citral has a balanced, clear Sativa head high. That slowly creeps on you and slowly fades away. On top of that she has a mild bodystoned sensation, which will ease away your pains gently and have a longlasting effect. There is no raciness or paranoia whatsoever. She is therefore ideal for daytime medication. Medicinal value: joint pain, back pain, shoulder pain and menstrual pains.

70% Indica.
Genotype: Chitrali #1 (IBL) x Skunk no.1.
Lemon zest and sweet kush flavor and herbal aroma.
Highly stable strain. Super medicinal strain; ideal painkiller.
Lightly bodystoned, but clear head high.
Potential THC level: high.

Flowering time indoor: 8-9 weeks
Harvesting outdoor: October
Plant height: Indoor 1.00-1.20m / Outdoor 2.00-2.50m
Yield: Indoor 350-450 gr/m² / Outdoor: 200 gr/plant
Growing difficulty: medium

Trainwreck (Arcata) x Purple Kush

Indoor
The Arcata Trainwreck is one of my favourites smokes but it needed some support and where Cannabiogen's PCK really came to the rescue. It nicely bulking the stocks and adding a stunning array of colour and flavour while still allowing her killer potency to shine through.

Indoor flowering 8 weeks

PCK x Cheese

Nothing seems to be on the internet yet on this one. I think I can do it....

PCK X Church

Nothing here either... maybe I can be the one to bang that shit someday...

PCK X Apollo 13

Hey! That's my project! Purpollo 13... it's cooking right now. It's on the front page about 4 down on a google search. Rollitup and follow me to the end... this is gonna be my baby. this shit will be some of the best smoke at the store.

PCK X G13

Nothing here it seems... I think it will be an improvement.

PCK X Juicy Fruit

Yummy!

PCK X White Lightning

Nothing Going Here WOW!

and I realize that I put the PCK first Wrongly so, because that is the TRADEMARK of cannabis cultivators. We don't put shit in the correct order all the time. May be we will or sometimes not just to through the idiots off. I know my skunk no 1 cross is wrong, but through selective breeding and cloning it out, I will find Medicinal Citral . The rest of whatever comes out of it will be something else. I respect the laws of breeding... the female x male. But the name of this strain already breaks that rule... Purpollo 13. The purple will be from the PCK, the male in this case. the male is going to give the Apollo a stronger growth pattern, which is needed indoors. I can grow a bunch of females and find the ones that have colors and focus on them. This is nothing new. Look into Magenta 99.... that is the closest thing to this project. The results are something special. I will eventually do a back cross to get seeds and find an apollo 13 with kush growth patterns... watch me.... this is like the end of chapter one, so stay tuned stoner.... this shit is gonna get serious as shit.

although i was told that my WL came from the BC Seed Co ... the person who handed to me said that it was a cross between Jack Herer and White Widow.... whatever, this white lightning has gained the reputation of coming from me, The Brand, so it has accumulated the name OG Brand White Lightning weather anyone likes it or not. I personally don't give a shit, it's some of the best shit in my stash next to the Apollo 13 right now...

i hope there are some eyes on this thing because I am about to let it rip wide open. Over the next two years, I will cross everything I can with PCK. Weather it is the PCK Purple Female and some cool shit male, or some kool shit bitch with some of this yellow cake. Either way, I will eventually come up with my clone only strain. I really hope it is the Purpollo 13 so Please no one try to do it before me...

I put the male PCK in my garden out back. It should be safe there. Pics later when it looks like something. After topping it, there wasn't much left.
Here are the Strawberry Cough Clones (2)...
154543.jpg 154420.jpg
Pretty sure that this is the same Strawberry Cough I was growing back in 2009-2010... even as far back as 2007 this is the mainstay Strawberry Cough Clone Only that I have seen and grown in and around Detroit. If this is still the same one, which I am almost 100% sure, then this is the Kyle Kushman Cut. We will see as we go along, but it already looks like it.

Fuckin Bad news... that Lemon Larry had spider mites on it like a mofo. I unleashed about 3000 lady bugs into the veg room and I haven't seen any evidence that they crossed over to the tent, we'll see. I have Pyrith on standby if the lady bugs don't clear em out in three days, I'll evacuate them and unleash the soap.... pics coming in a few minutes...

It also got super hot in there.... the tent is in the same room, and the Air Conditioner in there took a shit... I flopped out that shit and threw in a new one, got the temp down, and the lady bugs went to work....

Staring: Male PCK, Female PCK Purple Pheno, Female Skunk No. 1 Tight Bud Pheno...
So ya might have heard of the Spliff Seed's Skunk No. 1: There are three phenotypes. One is dense, one is hazey looking, and the other is funny as hell looking. Pics later... The one here is one of the clones from the denser variety.

The PCK Pollinated:

211545.jpg 211555.jpg
Eat, Sleep, Fuck, repeat. That's what these little robots do. They constantly scan and probe plants and pots, the room their in, the light fixtures LOL... but they are hard workers, no doubt.
211711.jpg 211717.jpg
(Above) the two less desirable pheno's in the Spliff Seed's Skunk No. 1. The one on the left actually has glands EVERY FUCKIN WHERE> but where are all the colas? There aren't even popcorn buds. The one on the right, well, that is the biggest bud on it in week 4... Hmmm... NOT COOL. And that one smells the best but the concentration of glands is a joke. The best one is the one I'm breeding with the PCK. I will keep those seeds and discontinue this strain in my room (as I germinate the Lemon Skunk from GreenHouse Seed Co)...
211742.jpg there they are again... you can see the strange growth patterns... NOT MY FAULT - so don't even try it. :)
164134.jpg

And here we have the one that actually kicks serious ass. I will keep this one around for clone sales and breeding in female form. Skunk No. 1... it smells sweeter than cotton candy I swear to you...

WHAM! Sorry, had to do that...
164235.jpg 174914.jpg
Now that it has been a couple days, I went in and scanned around. Not a spider mite in site. I guess a couple dozen spider mites, some eggs, and some crawlers really wasn't anything but light work for a couple thousand lady bugs. I sat in a chair and scanned the tent for about an hour. Didn't find anything ugly in there. The breeding project plants are just chillin' wherever I toss them. They don't go in the room that contains the veg closet and flowering tent.

That's all for now. There are Apollo 13 clones coming off the cloner in a couple days/week at the most. As soon as that thing has established roots (about three days around here), I will be tossing the healthiest looking one into the bud tent to begin the process of pollinating the Apollo 13 with the Male PCK Pollen.

All kinds of successful F1's using PCK Purple Pheno females as well as using a PCK Male with Sat Dom Females...

http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=46532

I shouldn't have to tell anyone reading this thread about the many many successful and mind blowing strains that have been achieved using Apollo 13 Genetics. Apollo 13 is my new all time favorite plant. It took about 6 months but I'm hooked. So if you want to read about Apollo 13, I recommend trying to find old school x-periments and Subcool... he is probably the biggest fan of Apollo 13, and by reading all his tips on how to grow and breed with it, I feel I have a good thing going :)

Also, my male seems to be a Green Pheno, so I'm not quite sure what this will mean for the PCK x PCK that I am about to get. Chances are, I am about to order me another ten pack from CBG!!! No Complaints Here! A seedpack was made by CBG from selected P1 and P2 Parents. I got a who knows which Purple Female and a Green Male. I hope I get at least a hundred seeds from that, but a seedpack is in my near future.... :)

Purpollo 13 Breeding Project Report
KneecapMan
06/17/2012

This report is something I began thinking about going into this project. It is a basic report about the IBL Pakistan Chitral Kush as well as some breeding information and information about Apollo 13. Credit will be given where credit is due and I may or may not include pics so if you smoked an Indy, you might wanna skip this.

The biggest deal in creating an F1 Hybrid is selection, without a doubt. In my project, I have a Green Pheno PCK Male that I have been getting pollen from. I am curious to know if there will still be purple phenos in the F1. As far as the Apollo 13 goes, it is a clone only. The first one I have is pretty solid, it has been veggin for 2 months and it looks solid. It had to battle off some mild mold and, with the help of hundreds of lady bugs, a small outbreak of spider mites. So it knows the ropes. I have grown about 30 or 40 of these over the last 6 months and I have to tell ya, they are always identical in growth pattern, resign development, bud formation, bud size and density.

I am very interested in doing a Back Cross with the F1 Male and the Apollo 13, even if there is no purple in em. That way, I should be able to use an Apollo13 BX male to pollenate the PPC female. I have this in clone stock now, but later I will grow some seeds from the PPC x PCK Green Male as well as ordering more seed packs from CBG.
So I feel like I can see this project in full now. I may have problems getting Purpollo 13 to actually be Purple… that one is a cross your fingers thing at this point until I hear something from the guys at ICMag.com. If they do, that will save a lot of time on this project so that I can get a feel-up on the Purpollo… I want to grow many PCK females from seed to make sure I have a couple of different phenos to experiment with, especially the green and the other purples that are more red.

The first line of stable Pakistan Chitral Kush was first introduced into the market sometime around December 2009 to maybe January. CannaBioGen had used it as a breeding tool since the early nineties. It was a Land Race Strain (LRS) that was also an Inbreed Line (IBL) growing in the Chitral Region of the Pakistan side of the Kush mountains. CBG took the plants to Spain, where they used selection to isolate and propagate the most desired ones based on growth patterns, colors, and bouquet, as well as flowering time and the usual desired traits. They used this plant to come up with one of their flagship crosses, “Sandstorm” which is said to be about 70% PPC and a Male from Morocco. Pure Indica.

CBG is the only company that produces these seeds commercially, because they stabilized it for nearly a decade, they deserve full credit for this awesome Pure Indica IBL. They have authorized Ace Seed Co the ability to distribute PCK seeds, and they do. Anyone else selling them, as far as I know (as far as I believe by Stoner Code and the Golden Rule Logic) they are doing the Bean World a disservice. Even F1’s have to be distributed properly in the underground until the name and character of that F1 is legend. Then, and only then, should you attempt to make and sell your F1 seeds because you are just using two strains that someone else worked to make something you knew would kick ass. It has to pass the test.

In the case of Purpollo 13, the story of Apollo 13 is funny because the Brother’s Grimm Breeder Soul who invented it found the mother in a Jack Herer bud. He had three seeds from that bud and they all produced plants covered in crystals. He named them Princess and Genius we know for sure. Princess was the mother of the very famous Cinderella back crosses of P75, the original BX of Princess. So this was an accidental find. It will never be known if the Jack Herer bud he found them in was self-pollinated or cross pollinated. It makes more sense that it was an F2 Jack Herer perhaps pollinated by a nearby male JH plant, seeing how all three seeds produced somewhat different plants with different growth patterns and effects. He didn’t bang those out and a week later, have a website online cranking out thousands of seeds a month… the description from back in the day said there were only 500 seeds of the Apollo 13 made by Brother’s Grimm for distribution.

1. Brothers Grimm are responsible for the famous Cindy99 and a few other killer hybrids and they were big on back crossing to there mother plants to improve stability by “Cubing” a clone only strain. Apollo-13 is Genius x p-75 the 75 indicates that 75% of the desired traits will be determined by the male that has been back crossed twice already.
This is how it works it simple terms. You have a clone only female cannabis plant youd like to have seeds of. These seeds will produce plants that display 50% of the females traits and 50% of the males. You pollinate her with a male plant keeping a copy or clone of the original mother alive. This is an outcross and these seeds are grown out and the best male is selected based on desired traits. This male is then used to again pollinate the original mother plant. The seeds of this breeding will produce seeds that display 75% attributes of the mother plant. This process is continued twice more until the strain is cubed and in theory 99% of what the mother was. Now the science is much more complicated than this but this is a good lamens explanation of cubing.

Looks like the bomb oldschool genetics to me. After all the research so far, I realize that it might take a year or two to find the right combo to give me the Sativa Dom Cerebral blast off while being purple and having some growth patterns blend between the two, possibly making the Apollo 13 branches a little thicker and firmer. While experimenting with back crosses, I will continue to buy seeds and work with them. I plan on buying some Apollo 13 BX seeds from TGA as well as some more PCK’s from CBG and I might even try to bring the Sandstorm into my experiment. I hope to find some awesomeness in the F1’s and the back cross should be exceptional. I am going to also continue to study up on these strains and crosses made from them.
