Awesomeness....Except for one thing....I'd be much happier if it was a "Occupy Capital Hill" because if it wasn't for our "illustrious" elected officials enacting legislation to allow for the raping of America by Wall Street, it wouldn't be happening. I prefer to "cut to the chase" as opposed to "beat around the bush".

I understand, and that's why I like what you posted. I simply lay the root of the problem with the men and women who write the laws that allow criminals (those that occupy the Ivory Towers of Wall Street) to "do what they do".

I can't help but wonder who is controlling whom. Look at the Goldman Sachs influence in our Government. Rather than list it myself, here's a little snapshot I got from thenewamerican:

The silky Rubin is far from the only Washington insider to have been plucked from the hallowed halls of Goldman Sachs. Another Treasury Secretary, Henry Paulson, architect of the Bush bailout, was a Goldman Sachs CEO (yet another Treasury Secretary, Henry Fowler, became a partner in the firm after his stint at Treasury in the 1960s). Another Goldman Sachs chairman, Jon Corzine, went on to become a U.S. Senator and Governor of the state of New Jersey. Robert Zoellick, former U.S. Trade Representative and Deputy Secretary of State and now World Bank president and prominent member of the Council on Foreign Relations, was a managing director at Goldman Sachs. Joshua Bolten, another former Goldman employee, was White House Chief of Staff for President George W. Bush; it was Bolten who encouraged the President to pick Henry Paulson to head the Treasury Department late in the Bush presidency.

The Obama administration has recruited former top Goldman Sachs operatives Robert Hormats, Mark Patterson, Adam Storch, and Gary Gensler, and for top economic posts has appointed men with long financial ties to Goldman Sachs, such as Timothy Geithner, Lawrence Summers, and Gene Sperling.
Recently there have been some articles that detail how the SEC is made up of former executives from all the major Wall Street firms and when they finish their stint with the SEC they usually return to those firms. They neglect to investigate the vast majority of the complaints they receive and when they do an investigation that is inconclusive they destroy all paperwork associated with that investigation. One former SEC member recalled Bernie Madoff being investigated multiple times over the years, but no one knows how many times because there is no paper trail.

I get your point, though. Protesting against Wall Street is like asking them to stop bribing and corrupting our politicians. It does make more sense to protest the ones being corrupted and taking the bribes. I guess the answer is if you protest the government, your purpose could get lost. Government officials have done so many fucked up things that they may wonder which of those fucked up things you're protesting against. I hope the protest against Wall Street implies a dissatisfaction with the government at the same time.

Once Anonymous endorsed this protest, it became a big deal to the main stream media. Even Glenn Beck was bitching about it. Home Land Security is already preparing for the worst. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I'm interested to see just how much force will be used against U.S. citizens. Will they be used as an example? Will deadly force be used? Will cooler heads prevail and end peacefully? Judging from the political climate I'm expecting the worst. :(

I think it's a whole lot of B.S. they won't be able to get a large number of people to participate and those who do will be quickly and peacefully disbursed-

How long do cell phone batteries and lap top batteries last? How much food and water can you carry? How many internet people will take a dump in the middle of the street? How many of them are willing to breath teargas and listen to LRAD? Im guessing if it happenes it wont last long or accomplish much- I don't think these people have any resolve..

I'm guessing this whole thing is a stunt put on by 'the man' to draw out weirdos ane either round them up or gather info on them....they just want to see who's listening and who will show up and what they will do....then back to usuall for monday

i think its a good start. they could have had it on a monday or something. especially if it was supposed to be a busy day. and also i dont think it will stop anyone in the buildings because they have no empathy anyways. why would they stop doing what theyre doing just because the serfs dont like it?

i got that feeling after Anonymous made that video. Anonymous gets a lot of press and seems awfully organized for a group of random hackers. My suspicion initially was that they were part of some CIA false flag attempt to crack down on the internet. The original idea of the protest before Anonymous got involved seemed genuine.

90% of the "Wall Street" jobs arent physically located on Wall Street anyway. Most are in midtown Manhattan or Greenwhich CT. I think it is meant to be symbolic. Besides, a big protest in Greenwhich might throw people off.
