Obama banning AR15 ammo by command of the emperor!

You know that 5.56 is a very small round compared to 7.62 or 30-06. They have made single shot contender pistols that shoot very large caliber hunting rounds and they are concealed easier than ar pistols.

I don't see how this ban would help anything.
can you not defend yourself or hunt animals with the dozens of other styles of bullets?

You can. The only appeal of the ar for me was cheap surplus ammo for going to the range.

Ar15 are not the weapon of mass destruction that they are made out to be.

i have plenty of exposure to assault rifles.

it's usually through some white dude shooting up a movie theater or kindergarten classroom with a high capacity magazine.

ya know, just everyday america stuff!
I cannot deny that.

I was referring to education and hands on, not the unfortunate consequences of idiots possessing them. Different issue entirely. :|

You have exposure to rifles and handguns. 'Assault weapons' were banned in 1986, along with machine guns and armor piercing rounds.

The were not banned. Regulated. You are free to buy and own any full auto that was registered before 1986. Just got to get the proper license.

Also with the right license you can even manufacture full auto weapons.

It doesn't help anything. It closes a loophole and keeps the BATF honest. The specific line about M855s being used in handguns, AR pistols make this possible. They had to issue the order to rectify what is actually legal, they didn't determine it, the law was passed in 1986.

Understood, I was keeping it simple for people who do not have such a license. Either way, you must log where that weapon goes and who possess it, I consider this a ban to the general public additionally since it is so bleeding hard to acquire.

I bulk bought 15k+ rounds of black tip at a show over a decade ago, in fact I think it was 98-99.

Hits hard, unloaded at a 3/4 steel plate at 125 yards, and all 8 went through with authority.

Typically because they are seen in action films and our military uses them. A black rifle with tactical rails intimidates when an idiot is holding the weapon.

AND YOU SHOT ALL OF THEM. Right?

Yes he did, he shot every one of those rounds.

People who possess such ammunition are in grave danger of BATF door kicking.

Wow, the cost per round is usually around a buck each. Really needed something pierced eh?

Idiots, all of them. If you want to open carry should you have a reason?

'CAUSE I WANNA!''

They make people like myself and See4 cringe in embarrassment.

If my business had someone walk in with a weapon on their back I would ask them to leave, if someone came in carrying at the low ready . . . Someone is going to jail after they are taken down to the ground.

I paid about 7 cents per round. Again, this was 98-99 that I bought these, and since they were all loaded in the garand 8 round clips, I could get 2-2.5 per round today. Loaded rounds limits = the sky/your wallet

I have zero use for ammo piercing rounds. However, finding this many rounds specifically loaded for the Garand was impossible to pass up, especially at the price I got them for. Some corrosion on the tops of every can, but most were just fine.

I have some left. Maybe most, hard to tell, too many to count to be sure.

Here in Kali we have to hunt with non-tox ammo, almost all of which will penetrate soft body armor. If penetrating body armor is the standard, what am I supposed to hunt with?
The biggest problem to me is that the ATF doesn't want projectiles with material like steel in them while the eco-crowd is trying to outlaw lead. They will inevitably clash.

You are fucking right! All had stripper clips too eh? Great find for that price.

Edit: I also presumed you meant modern black tips, IE 5.56 AP rounds in previous post.
