noob alert, first grow

Looking at an inline duct fan pushing 80cfm for ventilation. Temps are pushing 82. Want it lowered a bit. At the moment only have a fan pushing in fresh air with passive outtake

I have a 400w my/hps. But it's not cool tubed. It's in the open so temps are quite on the up side. What's the best ventilation for this type

Any fan/exhaust set-up that causes negative pressure. Move your fan to suck air out instead of pushing it in. Use the passive on the intake and the active on the exhaust.

That'd be where I'd start.

Earlier in your thread a mech e gave you fan advice, go back and take a look. I would not waste my time on any inline, get a larger exhaust fan. I've been very happy with Max Can Fans http://www.canfilters.com/max_fan_home.html

Is the cardboard blocking it? May not be moving enough air? How big is your intake?
