newbie starting a grow

mock setup of lights. then assembled in parallel with mylar to reflect light.
shows mixed spectrum with 19,000 lumens
last is a toy i receive in the mail today.(disc golf best sport ever)burn, drink throw discs enjoy your friends.
will have pics up tomorrow with lights off so everyone can see.

the first is my light tipped up has 3 bulbs out of it now because its just a little girl. running approx 15,000 lumens with 9 bulbs.
next few are top set one has 7 fingers other has 8.
the last 2 show inner growth its really taking off.
has interesting smell a bit pungent burning your nose then a sweet finish. only smells about 2 inches away.

thanks a lot getting excited seeing it grow into such a short little bush.
looks healthy as can be to me the slight brown on one leaf was grew into a light overnight.
another leaf i cracked a bit trying to put under my old light setup.
glad i built the new one so much easier and lights up my little grow very nicely.
gotta wear shades when i look in or i see black spots for a half hour.

i found that with my new light set up i cannot keep my plant within an inch anyymore.
causes heat stress i put it up to 2 inches and this morning it looks much 100% back to normal.
the leaves would have just a slight bit of curl.
i am also on second day of 20/4 light. 24/0 was just to much stress on it never had a chance to recover from my intense lights.

waiting one or 2 more days to top so i have a bit more to clone when i cut it.
it has 6 sets of alternating leaves and would have to cut above second.
my nodes are very close together and would have trim off one or 2 sets to get clone deep enough.

well i guess i lied and got the bug to top today.
it is day 14 from sprout. it was 5 nodes with 6th coming out.
its the 3 branch bandit named livea. she is short and squat with tight nodes.
first one is top view of and 2nd is side view. its about 5 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall now
but know its for the best.
the middle 3 picks are shots of the growth out of the first 2 nodes. the 3rd pic shows a funky leaf that grew.
the last 3 are picks of a clone attempt with no rooting hormone. hope it works.
since it was such a short plant there is only an inch or less in the medium.

apply a little water and light and let mother nature do the rest.
to many problems from people just not letting a plant be a plant.
i guess seems to be indica predominantly since its a so short and fat jagged leaves.
now veg time to fill up scrog i guess.
any thoughts on filling scrog then letting my 3 main colas grow threw.
chopping main colas then finishing popcorn/medium buds after chop?

If you're planning on a scrog with only one plant, maybe top once or twice more? (depending on how much of an area you are covering).

2x2 area i would like to veg a decent amount of time to get a good yield.
would like to have a vacant room by may 1 or so. so i can veg then stick outside.
i know but if someone had insight into my plan i would like it. i am a newb but get botany a decent amount.

I didn't do a scrog, but to give you an idea, I have mine in a 2x2 space, and I vegged for a month, topped once.
Can post pics again if you want.
My idea, veg for another month to 6 weeks, topping throughout.
I think that will more than fill a 2x2 scrog.

I am thinking of trying to lst and zig zag through Scrog then let main colas pop through a few inches then flower.
i want a lot of decent buds but would like a few large ones. That is why I do not want to top again. Not sure if it will work well.
your plant is crazy looking but looks like it will yield great. Crazy in the best of ways. I just want the ease of using my light setup.

Keep in mind though, you're eventually going to need a lot more lights if you do the scrog.
CFL's just don't penetrate well enough through the thick canopy like higher power lights.

my cfl setup will be 19,000 lumens for 2.25 sqft. which is how big my light is. then will have drop lights in the corners or where i need it for main colas.
will also be lighting from bottom with some. my total lumen output will be about 35,000-45,000 lumens. i will do all i can to make nice dense colas.
i have almost twice as many lights as i think i need 60,000 lumens. but will max out everything as long as i can keep temps in check.
plenty warned should go with mh/hps setup but i have less than half into what i could've bought one for. yes much easier but want to save for led.
specifically a TI smartbloom 330w.

livea responded very nicely to topping. as i expected.
after pics i lst'ed the highest node so the other 2 could catch up in height.
would also like them to grow outward a bit so more light goes down to bottom leaves.

ordered my nutes today went with dyna gro foliage pro 9-3-6 32oz from amazon for $22 and dyna gro bloom 3-12-6 32oz for $14 both free shipping.
i feel these are more of a total nute after a few week search reading on the web. also trust uncle bens views about anything botany/horticulure.
plus these are about half the price compared to the fox farm trio that i was gonna use.

these pics are from 2-16 will have pics of new growth tomorrow.
amazing how much change in a few days.
it is a short stout plant. pretty impressed with it for 17 days out of ground.

day 18 from out of ground
1st pic shows true color of the plant the rest have flash on it was to dark to get good pics.
the only messed up leave is my funky one had mylar to close after i misted top of soil.
so no more mylar close to my plants that took less than a half hour to burn.
in picture 4 notice the purple under the leaves..
my normal temp ranges from 81 to 75 during lights on and during my 4 hour lights of gets down to 63.
lastnight it was -15 windchill outside and it made it down to 59. do not know if the purple is strain(bagseed or cool night temps)
either way the plant seems to be loving it.
my humidity has been in the 28-33% range.
