correct iamthatguy. i have no rockwool in the plant to the left and pure hydroton. the pot is about 1/2 and inch to 1" submerged in water with 2 bubblers. the middle pot is being hand watered and the plant is in coco tek and hydroton, it has yet to be put in a system. the third (most right pic) is in a diy hydrosys with proper ph and nutes only it has coco tek and hydroton and a small wick to soak up nutes and water. the pot is about 1/2" to the water and not touching. only this plant is a seedling andseems to have a blackish burn on the 2 jaged leaves. i think the 24hr lighting is what did it. i hope it survives. on the plant to the left ( streched one) i have seen the bottom of the pot and i do see some slight new root growth but nothing very noticable and nothing really making its way out of the pot. what do you suggest.

I never grown a plant before not taller then 6 inches but i started my hydro set up not long ago & Its the bomb I ive got my record beat now take`in it from dirt thats sound pretty tricky give them a bit of time to get over the shock You`ll be fine

how would you suggest letting it get over the shock? maybe keep it in coco tek or rockwool and hydroton in a net pot and hand water with properly ph'ed water??

well my 2 cents is the the two young ones need to still be hand watered with PH'ed water but no nutes until they get a bit bigger. The one on the left that is all stretched out looks too fan gone to do anything with. It looks like it stretched and flowered and then went back to veg state but the stem is like a toothpick. What are the temps in your setup?

the water is about 7o to 75 and the room is a breezy 77. so you think i should give up on the left side plant? how can i revive it!!!

wow so the room temps seem good...... To revive the plant on the left just keep it in veg mode 24/7 lights or 18/6 lights but I think it might be to far gone to bring back to a think bushy and healthy plant ....

well that sucks. woop woop. i guess ill put all my efforts into my new plants. i have some new seeds that im germinating right now but we shall see how that goes. do you think if i cut it all the way down it may grow again?

Unfortunately it would kill it and I dont think that plant even if it does go back to veg mode would be so stressed out it might go hermi. Live - learn and better off using the new germed seeds. Just my opinion.

ok so i now have different lighting and a completely new hydro setup. it took me a while but its done. now any feedback would help. from left to right i have one kush plant that just sprouted and is about 2 weeks old. in the middle i have 3 bagseed plants and they seem to be coming along ok and to the right i have assorted bagseed and some tomatoes and chilies growing. The lighting is 2 cfl's, one hps bulb and one long florescent for side lighting. the water is ph'ed at about 6.5 - 7.0 and they are not running on nutes but i do have some fox farm ready to go. when should i add nutes and what else should i do? thanks for looking

Only tip would be to just keep doing what ur doing and soak up as much knowledge as u can in the meantime. Keep ur reservoirs as light tight as possible.Keep plenty of air in the water. Follow ur nute bottle directions, and change water every 2 weeks shorty! Next thing is smoking ur own bud. Armed with ur own nuggies and the girls gone wild thing u could be very dangerous haha

Yes like maybe riu very own next pot model hahaha. I think that all of the ladies of riu should get together and make some type of swimsuit edition or something, for some reason im picturing nothing but bikinis made of large fan leaves right now. Wishfull thinking anyhow.

netpirate, you are hot and that makes it harder for me to say this but I feel I must LOL. Your new lighting setup will still not be enough to get the plants I know you want. You have most everything you need for nice plants but the light is lacking for sure. Any money you spend on better lighting would be paid back by your first successful grow. Also, you need lower ph for hydro. 5.5-5.8 is best for nutrient uptake. Lower ph also helps keep away bacteria and microorganisms.
