Ok so I transplanted this plant from the ground to this diy DWC hydroponics system and it went smoothly. The plant was about 5 weeks old in the soil and taking punishment. She is now in a net pot filled with hydroton sitting in a 10gal fish tank that is light tight.. Also there is a 60gal air pump with 2 air stones. The nutes are foxfarm grow big and big bloom with only half of the feeding schedule. Im not sure about the ph and there was some algae buildup coming on but it is clean now. The lighting is a 70watt HPS accompanied by a florescent long bulb both of which are hanging low. I do have a fan and during the day there is a big exchange of fresh air. Also I have no idea what strain they are, I just kinda went on good faith that they were good. So far the plant looks female to me. What do you think? I also have a new growth which was claimed to be some diesel. But again im not sure. Im wondering how im doing and if there is anything I need to be doing different. This is my first hydroponics system so any feedback would really help me.

Happy toking!

Just grow it out and hope its not a hermie with seeds from all the stress, yall still have bud 10 better than any reggies floating around, get something to help with ur mites problem, and start over. I like the way u think lols theres no way thats u in the pic haha anyhow but stay on and soak up as much info as u can.

And i think u would definetely benefit ur plants by dropping a cheap hps fixture from home depot.

the spidermites are taken care of. that was just what they left. but i took care of that problem not too long ago. And why is there no way thats me? girls can't grow? or not that many girls that grow? i get shit for it a lot but i stand strong.

thanks for the info though. im working on making a reflector for the hps very soon, maybe tomorrow. im a bit cheap sometimes, plus its fun to make things rather than just buying them.

well if they wont put out here there is this one good straight source called growingedgedotcom and dr.lynet morgan answers questions and you just say you are growing tomatoes. she has written several books and knows her stuff. the site has tutorials and articles as they have had a hydro mag out for years, but like i said its not the meds but tomatoes and bud need the same so thats the code

I would suggest growing a decent bagseed grow from start to finish with all the knowledge u have now. U dont have to buy seeds to grow dank buds. U have made the same mistakes as all of us lol. Ur def on the right track. My entire initial setup cost me about 150 bux all homemade from home depot and my local hydro store(hydroton and nutes). Its the most ghetto as ive seen on here. but for ur setup thats all u honestly need.Grow on. and yes it is very hot to see hotties getting crazy like mcgyver!

Sounds like you know what you are doing! BUT that plant looks like crap. By the looks of it you learn fast and when you started getting allege you realized it was because it was from light getting into your fish tank so you put the garbage bag over it. You would be better off buying a dark colored plastic storage bin then the garbage bag IMO. Looks like you know what to do for your next grow for sure. Women growing is hot BTW so keep it up and good luck!

Oh and get something to test you PH for sure! It will make or break a Hydro harvest fast! HUGH difference!

I have a similar set up as you so lets just say I probably have run into some of the problems you are running into now. Feel free to ask any questions. Hopefully you bought a DARK plastic storage box. I bought a white one and light still made it through then had to go buy another..... Be careful cutting the circles for the net pots in the top of the storage bin!

ok heres the update. im still in the process of making it better. remember this is my first hydro grow and intro to hydroponics all together. any info would be appreciated. im running a clf @ 2700 lumens and an hps bulb @ 70watts. the water is at a ph of about 6.5 and im not going strong on the fox farm nutes. on picture 2 i just put the plant in a just made hydro sys (on the right) and it seems to have wilted a bit when i had it under the 24 hr lighting. the one in the front middle in the net pot is wrapped in coco tek and hydroton. tell me what you think.

I cant really answer any questions unless I see whats under the blanket. I dont know what you already know so dont take offense if I am stating something you already know.

This is how I use Hydrotron with a DWC system

Its a clone or seed in rockwool in a net pot surrounded by hydrotron. This needs to be hand watered until the roots make there way out through the net pot and to the water in the rubbermaid. The water in the rubbermaid is 1-2" at the closest to the bottom of the net pot so as not to soak the rockwool. I am guessing you have no rockwool and your plant is directly in hydrotron? if so is the water hitting the roots?

The more I look at your pics I am guessing that either your light is to far away from your plants or the one I am guess it is is that your temps are high in the room?

What are your temps?
