My Mexican Ditch Weed

Considering what size "pot" they are growing in, I personally am amazed with what you have grown here. When I saw the original post, I immediately thought "oh shit, that's never gonna work". But those plants have done well in spite of having very little room for root growth. Just let 'em go, you might not get the yield you envisioned but they look like they are starting to fatten up. Gotta give you a little rep for this grow....

yo king don't get to down on the chore, I definitely know how that can get sometimes but it'll be worth it brother! Your girls are looking great and you will be well rewarded! The mexi strains are a rollercoaster ride, but you know there's nothing more refreshing than unique smoke!

ya know I didn't even think of this but you made the best point here lol! king for the medium size you really are getting wompers, probably great they are no bigger lol! That's the magic of hydro variations!!

It was about as good as the bud the seeds came from. I didn't do a great job on the curing of it, so it ended up a little dry. And had little to no smell so...
But overall, it was a great learning experience.
Don't let that discourage you from growing bag seeds in the future! You're more likely to get at least good genetics than bad genetics so the process will likely always be worth it. Especially now that you've honed your trade more you'll kick out some fire for sure! Glad we're seeing a lot of bag weed love haha it's really cool.

I've grown bagseeds several times. One was a hermi, and my current is a bag seed, though she's not happy right now. pH issues. :\
But I have no hold up with bagseeds. Although I would prefer clones anyday.

It's the hempy system, it's quite simple, and equals the performance of many other more complex setups.

it's so true that hempy's are quite simple, very little to go wrong, but I did manage to made several mistakes on my first hempy but it still did well with a little help from WOH

like they say, you can't sew a silk purse from a pig's ear, so that's why I don't have much expectations for these mexi's but as you say, it's all about have a great learning experience

thanks greenlikemoney.......three of them are in 2 litre pop bottles, the 4th is in a 2.89 litre juice bottle and it's the biggest, so size does matter, but hempy's seem to do rather decent in a small container

You're look incredible compared to mine. I wouldn't be surprised if they provide you with some good smoke.
Keep in mind, your indica lady may give you something truly unique.

These look like hybrids/ cross strained plants. More Sativa but have several indica traits in the looks too. That said sativas are alway ugly bitches lol

I just assumed they would be pure sativa grown by mother nature in some Mexican ditch, but they do have fat fan leaves which are more indicative of indica

when I used to go to Mexico near the cartel feilds what they grew was usually more sativa but they started going hybred to cut the flowering time down so they could get multiple crops from the same feild quicker. They also tended to have 2 or 3 grow areas from basic sativa commercial weed which was the brick weed but they didnt cull out all the hermies or males always and you see the results of that seeded brick weed. They also would have fields with higher grade that they actually took care of better which meant higher per brick costs. It was $50 an lb for commercial brick if buying 100 or more lbs and then the upper mids were around $200 an lb if you bought 50 or more discounted again at 500 lbs. There were cartel associates who had medical grade indoor and it was more like $600 an lb if you bought 25 or more lbs. Thats was like 10 years ago though. its a bit cheaper now.

Quite frankly, i'm curious what the ladies will produce for you (in terms of quality of the smoke). But primarily, i'm really interested in what that indica hybrid will give you. :D
