Res is now full again after adding 25L in.

the 25L I added was H2O + 0.2EC of Magnesium sulphate (MgSO4) totalling 0.4EC inc source water 0.2EC.

add to tote and equals 0.6EC pH6.0

Couple of darkness pics. Including under the scrog.

Day 67 of 12/12.

EC of res 0.6-0.7 flashing between the 2.

I have increased irrigation to x5 to achieve more runoff per 24 hours

I am now also feeding 2x during the 12 hour dark as this is helping to stabilise the runoff and they’re drinking it, as temps are higher right now in the U.K. and my intake air temp is warmer than normal (it’s the U.K. after all lol) and I don’t run an AC.

@Star Dog @myke

my 8LPH PC emitters have arrived today.

I’m expecting the valve T and the valve to arrive tomorrow.

I won’t be adding anything to the system until this flowering is finished so that I can clean and flush the system and make alterations without being live.

I’m also considering making myself a water level indicator for the tote (if I can buy the parts cheaper than the £8.95. DWC bucket kit)

Ok so after extensive searching I couldn’t find the parts for less than this kit cost £8.95.

Now obviously if I was buying parts in bulk and fitting these together as a kit then I would have the ability to make these for under £9 each but buying single items.

no way I could do it.

Little plug for the company too lol.

Do you still get enough flow to the plants/sprinklers with the bypass open?
I’ve got the bypass around 1/3 closed 2/3 open.

I started with everything open and the pump on full (figured it’s designed to run best on fully open flow)

nothing came out of the drippers.

So I opened the drippers to make sure it wasn’t a flow issue with them and they were open and no flow.

I then began to close the bypass valve slowly and then flow began coming out of the drippers too quickly as i know the drip rate now lol.

So I left the bypass where it was and reduced the flow on the drippers to where I needed it.

If you look At the running pic you can see the valve is just slightly off centre.

It’s perfect.

Next, water level indicator that should be here tomorrow but I won’t be fitting that until the res is empty lol.

Have you tried cycling it again?Sometimes because of the resistance of the sprayers water will flow out the bypass instead.I ran my pump 24/7 rdwc so wasnt an issue. Was just curious.Hope it works between cycles.

I’m planning on removing the tote tonight as it’s almost empty and refilling once I’ve added this water level kit into the tote!

When I do refill I will be refilling with 0.6EC of just my base bloom A/B to get to the end of the grow.

Tile bit?Youll want something with a pilot bit.Otherwise your gonna end up with an oval hole.Try a test hole on something else first.

It was a case of beggars can’t be choosers and picked up something at work that would do rather than pay for something I’ll never use again until I need a new tote lol.

Installation.

Nice and simple once the tote was empty and cleaned.

I drilled the hole slowly to Stay on course.

cleaned up the hole using sand paper to remove any of the final edges.

cleaned the whole tote again.

dried the tote where the kit was going and fitted it.

rubber seal on each side of the tote.

tested for 30mins and no leaks.

Just to be on the safe side I placed a tissue under the water level indicator attachment to see if there was any drips over night without me watching!

Still zero drips or leaking from the indicator kit

Lovely!!!

So as a surprise here’s some day 71 darkness pics lol.
