well i took out the plant... and got out my razor blade and magnifying glass and went dr. mengele on scarlett's ass. anything looking even remotely ballsy got sliced. i worked quickly, mercilessly and with high-precision, almost psychoticly calm - very mr. blonde. She's all woman now but i will definitely keep an eye on her tranny tendencies. sorry, i know i should have banished that bitch but the bud beheld a beauty too bountiful to bear butchering.
LOL, keep an CLOSE eye on her mate, especially once they get bigger!
Nice job!

The night temps in the flower room go down to 15 C / 60 F. I don't want to run another heater (have one in the veg room).

Do you think I could stop ventilation (extraction of hot air) during the dark period? Besides the plants breathe out C02 making a nice snack for them in the morning when photosynthesis begins again. I am trying it tonight to see what the temps do. Any advice?

Great mind think alike ;) I ran into the same problem and by turning off the extraction I manage to keep my night temperature at around 24C. Been doing this for my last 2 grow and had no problems

I turn off my fans about 15 mins after lights out.. and turn them on about 15 mins before lights on.

Otherwise i have zero fans blowing during dark.... thats just me.

3 close-up bud shots. starting to sugar.
they finally taking shape :)
lollipoping is removing the lower 3rd of plant growth.
focus that energy on the rest of the plant ... which is closer to the light and will give you more room for more lollipops !:weed:

PLANTS: 5 kush, 1 unknown strain (grown from a bud of an outdoor plant)
DAYS FLOWERING: 25
DAYS SINCE SEED: 70
LIGHTS: 600 Watt HPS (side light: 1 42watt CFL, 3 27watt CFLs)
NUTES: dutch nutrient formula, 50ml per 5 gallon bottle - every 3 or 4 days
ENVIRONMENT: day 27-30C (High, i'm working on it), night 16C, humidity 30%
AIR: 1 oscilating fan, 1 double fan, 70cfm bathroom fan venting outside when lights are on. Two 2.5 inch passive intakes from outside.
SOIL: Promix with 15% worm castings
POTS: 2 5-Gallon, 4, 2-gallon
TLC: lots

Buddy has come a long way from her humble beginnings. She is all bush. Even her clones are different from the Kush with alternating branches instead of symmetrical. She is ideal for indoor growing - i only wish i knew her strain.

The others, the kush are all forming massive top colas - very long but not very bushy (both plants and colas). I know that heat might be an issue so i'm trying to keep it down by leaving the door open a bit. This is perhaps why the kush buds aren't thickening like buddy's...or it is just genetics.

Thinking about starting molasses in a few days.

Overall I'm quite pleased. Every time I open that door and see my jungle i get a shiver like i just took the piss of my life.

clone room:

Firstly, the clones: All rooted. I'm suspicious about all these complicated procedures to cloning. I did everything by the book but i also tried the 'just dip them in distilled water for 2 weeks' method with equally good results. I used the scarification method discussed in the faq and you can really see the massive root system up the whole length of the scar as opposed to a single root coming out the bottom cut. The pic really says it all.

i've topped a few of the clones already as i'm going for bushes next time instead of tall towers of bud.

I'm on the molasses thing now. The buds are definitely sugaring up nicely but whether or not it has anything to do with the molasses i have no idea. The tall buds aren't really thickening like i've seen with other peoples grows but they'll do just fine. perhaps i need more nutes or maybe it just a genetics thing? or maybe i'm just being impatient - they do still have a month to go.

I've turned off the back lighting since i'm not sure it was doing all that much except add a couple of degrees of heat to the room.

note: the yellow in the pics is due to the hps lighting - the leaves are all green not yellow. I'll have to take some pics just before the hps turns on.

the ladies are frosting up in time for a white christmas.
